Job purpose: We are seeking a motivated, experienced Fundraising & Public Interface Officer who will work with the Board to deliver WA-UK’s objectives by growing its income from a diverse funding pool including but not limited to trusts & foundations, legacy and individual giving and community giving.  You will develop WA-UK’s fundraising strategy (online and offline) and lead on its implementation. The post holder will be responsible for increasing the charity’s public profile and oversee the daily operation of the charity.  Leading a small innovative and dynamic team, you will also be exposed to other areas of work events and communications. 

Duties & Key Responsibilities

Development and implementation of fundraising strategies

Guided by WA-UK’s objectives and strategic priorities the postholder will:

· develop a fundraising strategy, set targets and take proactive steps to implement the strategy;

· consolidate, strengthen and build on donor and stakeholder engagement and maximize income generation through strategies developed in coordination with partners; 

· develop a portfolio of donors and ensure that their objectives and needs are met;

· lead on the growth and quality of institutional funding sources; consolidate and strengthen existing institutional donor relations; revitalise any dormant institutional donor relations;

· support the programme officer to prepare, submit and present proposals and concept notes to donors;

· with the programme officer, maintain and manage a donor reporting calendar to ensure production of timely and appropriate reports that demonstrate the impact of their grants;

· significantly expand the charity’s funding and support base; aim to increase regular monthly/ annual donations;

· with the communications officer develop and implement strategies to grow and retain support of individual and community donors;

· identify, research, and develop major givers, whether giving as individuals or through trusts or companies;

· ensure that all major donors are provided with the highest level of stewardship;

· with the communication officer and key partners, plan and deliver campaigns and events; develop online strategies and coordinate messaging to raise funds for appeals and projects.

· ensure the upkeep of a database and filing system on all existing and prospective donors;

· monitor and apply for grants to enable the charity to advance its objectives.

Public interface and outreach activities

The postholder will:

· promote the charity’s public profile including through participation in diverse fora including with other stakeholders, charities, NGOs;

· attend networking events if/when needed and speak on behalf of the charity; and

· plan for and run at least two public outreach and/or fundraising events per year including with partners.

Leadership for staff and supporting the board of trustees

The appointee will:

· lead and manage a small team of staff;

· oversee the daily operation of the charity including compliance with relevant laws and regulations;

· ensure the financial stability of the charity;

· provide regular briefings to trustees and if required prepare documents and agendas for board meetings; and

· contribute to the content of reports issued by and for the board including the annual reports.

Charity Fundraiser

The Vine Centre is looking to appoint a fundraiser.

The Vine Centre is a community based Charity offering inclusive support to those living in Rushmoor and its surrounding areas. We specialise in offering mental health, anger management and addiction support. Our offer also includes employment & training services, budgeting, energy support, IT skills and benefit support. We run social groups, yoga, therapeutic art and cookery classes. We run a community pantry which offers food to those most affected by the cost of living crisis.

The Vine Centre is a one stop shop for support working with the most vulnerable in our area our premises are in Aldershot but our reach is across Surrey & Hampshire. 

Previous experience necessary - good IT skills are required, particularly with MS Office, Word and Excel.

The role is offered at 18 hours at  £16,848 - (full-time equivalent 37.5 hours - £35,100). This includes 25 days (Pro-Rata) annual leave (plus bank holidays).

· ensure that the charity’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are of the highest quality and are adhered to fully.

The Rapid Intervention team, will be providing vital outreach support to individuals who are currently rough sleeping across Westminster. The team will work with the objective of supporting those rough sleeping to find a suitable and sustainable route away from the street.

Our belief is that rough sleeping is an intrinsically harmful and dangerous activity both for the individual and for the wider community. Therefore, we take a proactive and assertive approach to supporting people away from this activity. Our aim is to support people to recover from the effects of rough sleeping and move away from a street lifestyle permanently.

• Working as an Outreach Worker you will work with people to assess their needs and deliver a person centred support, as well as working in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and agencies across the city to meet client’s individual needs.

• It’s not always an easy job, but the opportunity to work with different people every day, helping individuals experiencing homelessness and the local community end the harms of rough sleeping can be highly rewarding.

You will work on a weekly shift rota to ensure we are available to support people experiencing homelessness when they need us the most.

Job Purpose

As Director of Partnerships, you will:

•  Lead on partnerships fundraising, including major donors, trusts & foundations, and corporates with a focus on securing six-figure multi-year agreements to significantly grow funds raised in this area from £1.6 million to £4.5 million by FY30, in line with Operation Smile UK’s multi-year strategy.
• Foster and facilitate collaboration across different departments within OSUK.
• Ensure business as usual is achieved in line with operational plans, while also exploring and implementing innovative initiatives and campaigns to ensure the future success of partnerships' fundraising.
• Represent OSUK at a leadership level, building relationships with industry peers and peers within the Operation Smile global team to ensure best practice across all areas.

Key Responsibilities

Philanthropy Leadership

• Leads strategy, planning and operation of the major gift, trusts & foundations and corporate giving channels.
• Develops annual business plans and budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director (ED) and Executive Team.  
• Strategically identifies and qualifies potential new donors to grow the prospect pipeline.
• Prepares development communications: solicitation and acknowledgement letters; case statements and proposals; stewardship reports; briefing notes; gift agreements.
• Identifies, cultivates, and solicits major gift commitments from high-net-worth individuals
• Monitors activity of the team, ensuring that benchmarks are achieved, including submission of solicitations, donor contacts and meetings, confirmations of donations, and other performance indicators as related to the team checking their portfolio.
• Provides the organisation with the interpretation of market trends and emerging issues that could impact the organisation’s partnerships fundraising stream.
• Ensures the effective collection of donor information and tracking of points of contact in accordance with best practices; provides and presents statistical analysis to senior leaders.
• Leads on data mining, prospect research, and ensuring the quality of data as it relates to the donors they work with.
• Develops and manages relationships within their own portfolio, personally conducting cultivation visits, solicitation calls and stewardship activities as required.
• Effectively manages fundraising resources and practices ethical fundraising.

HR Management

• Leads, mentors, and manages a team; regular meetings to provide direction, coaching and delegation to the partnerships team.

Financial Management

• Manages and implements approved business plans, ensuring that the annual revenue objectives and budget are met or exceeded, and oversight of the partnership’s departmental budgets.
• Provides leadership in the delivery of statistical analysis, projections, and detailed reports on partnerships fundraising goals and performance that may be used to contribute to the development of internal budgets.

Partnership Sustainability

• Develops donor relationships by researching, sourcing, cultivating, and stewarding existing and potential partners.
• Works to broaden sources of revenue, including working with corporate partners in various industries.
• Develops and implements a stewardship program aimed at cultivating deeper ties with donors and corporate partners.
• Contributes innovative ideas to the development of new strategic partnerships and alternative revenue streams.

Other

• Other duties as assigned by the ED.
• Meetings with OSI and partner countries.
• Board reports/board meetings as required.

Job Summary

To manage talent acquisition for the Museum, working with hiring managers to plan and deliver effective campaigns to fill each role with the best possible candidate.  To manage and develop a range of materials and systems to support talent acquisition activity.
 

Main responsibilities

• Be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment pipeline across the Museum (around 150 campaigns per year)
• Work with the HR Business Partners to understand and predict resourcing needs and plan future hiring needs
• Be responsible for the Museum’s candidate marketing materials including the careers site, developing content and working with the Digital team to ensure content is updated regularly
• Work with hiring managers to plan and deliver tailored recruitment campaigns for each role
• Undertake focused research and campaign planning for hard-to-fill and specialist roles to ensure they are filled with appropriately qualified candidates
• Keep abreast of best practice and new developments in talent acquisition, testing and learning new ideas and methodologies to improve our approach
• Liaise with the HR Administrators to ensure vacancies are posted as needed and candidates are moved through the recruitment pipeline.  Administer an allocation of campaigns where required during peak periods
• Plan and manage volume recruitment events for front of house roles in conjunction with hiring managers and the HR Advisor

Key Information

This is a hybrid working role so you will be expected to divide your time between home working and working on-site at South Kensington.
