About the role
You’ll play a key part in bringing our learning and development offer to life - designing and delivering creative, accessible learning that supports colleagues and volunteers to be their best.
Whether it’s coordinating onboarding, delivering workshops, developing digital content or supporting leadership development, you’ll work with teams across the charity to support their learning needs and enhance our peoples’ experience at Parkinson’s UK (both employees and volunteers).

About the role
The Director of Finance will lead the finance team to ensure the effective support for SFCT’s complex requirements across all aspects of finance, investment management, governance, compliance and risk.

Who we are looking for
This role is a fully functional finance role with multiple entities that require support. You will be an experienced Finance Director (and/or perhaps a CFO of an endowment-funded foundation) with the people skills to lead and develop a large finance team, as well as the skills to manage a complex mix of stakeholders.
As a qualified accountant, you will be someone with knowledge and experience in charity finance, who also has a commercial focus and likely has had a stint in industry. Experience in managing a complex finance function and being proactive when it comes to change is essential, as well as the ability to inspire and develop a team to deliver high performance and continuous improvement.
You will enjoy working with people and come with a broad set of experiences. Experience in investments would be an advantage, as would any other additional areas of expertise. This role is a platform for value-added support.

The Candidate
Strong experience in events organising ideally in special events for the charity sector.
Previous experience working with and managing volunteer committees.
Developed writing skills for correspondence with an external audience.

- Significant experience in a governance-focused role, including supporting Boards or Trustees at a senior level.
- Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework of the UK charity sector, including Charity Commission guidance.
- Excellent communication skills, with a track record of drafting policies, governance papers, agendas and minutes to a high standard.
- People management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Knowledge of risk, environmental reporting, or external comms is highly desirable, but not essential.

The role
The Video Content Creator will be responsible for creating, editing, and co-ordinating video content to proactively maximize BDF’s existing content from BDF’s Knowledge Hub. This role involves end-to-end production, from idea generation to final edits, ensuring high-quality, accessible and inclusive content is available across all platforms.
The requirement
- Proven experience in end-to-end video production, including script writing, video recording, sound management, animation, and editing.
- Experience of creating both live recorded (in-person and online) and animated videos.
- Demonstrate creative storytelling abilities and adaptability to various creative briefs.
- Ability to engage, or learn to engage, confidently with people at all levels of seniority, and with different disabilities and needs.
- Willingness to travel, and readily available to attend the London office as required.

Key Responsibilities

We are searching for a Head of Bids, Grants and Tenders to work within our Development and Partnerships Team. This exciting new role will be responsible for writing and submitting compelling bids and proposals that clearly align with CXK’s strategic and operational vision, meeting the needs of our commissioners and funders.
The role will drive income generation and growth for the charity, creating high-quality tender responses on a regular basis, developing a pipeline of current and potential opportunities and proactively ensuring that all business development systems and processes are fully implemented.
As part of our Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Bids, Grants and Tenders will contribute to the strategic development of CXK, working closely with the Director of Development and Partnerships, our service leads, and the wider Senior Leadership Team.
Your role has three primary focuses:
· Bid Writing: write compelling bids and proposals that clearly align to CXK’s strategic and operational vision, whilst clearly meeting the specifications from commissioners and funders.
· Bid Management: ensure all business development systems, tracking processes and approval processes are implemented to a high standard.
· Business Development: drive income generation and growth through identification and management of a pipeline of opportunities aligned to CXKs Growth and Development Strategy.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will excel at building relationships, alongside a brilliant command of bid writing and articulating the incredible impact and outcomes of CXK’s work to multiple audiences.
You will bring a deep understanding of public or the not-for-profit sector and the areas impacting our work, such as education, employability, skills, rehabilitation and justice. This will be supported by proven experience in managing end-to-end tender processes and achieving financial targets.
