Operations Coordinator
We are seeking an Operations Coordinator to join a nationally recognised, values driven arts education charity as they settle into their new headquarters at the iconic Wigan Pier. Help lay the foundations for the next chapter!
Position: Operations Coordinator
Salary: £31,123 - £35,417 per annum
Location: Office based in Wigan
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

About the Role
The role of Operations Coordinator is critical to keeping the organisation running smoothly and ethically. You will oversee all aspects of office administration and provide vital support across facilities, Health and Safety and IT Systems.
Reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager, you will:
- Play a key role in maintaining and organising the new HQ for the teams’ needs and for external users
- Support Clerical duties and finance processes
- Have opportunity to get involved in future developments as the charity grows their local, national and international connections.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of cultural education by turning strategy into action and creating spaces for collaboration and learning.

Full time role (37.5 hours) with an initial 6-month fixed term contract continuing subject to funding.
Remote working, with the option for hybrid working (up to two days in the office) if located 45 minutes away from one of our offices in London, Manchester and Cardiff.

1MM Mentor Recruitment Lead main tasks include:
● Build, lead, own and execute 1MM’s mentor recruitment strategy
● Source enough mentors to ensure 1MM has an oversupply (c.15% higher than demand) of fully trained, location relevant mentors available
● Build a sustainable growth engine that ensures the pipeline of mentors remains sufficient on an ongoing basis
● Work with key stakeholders across the business to improve conversion rates by refining our onboarding process
● Meeting all quality assurance KPIs

Establishing employers, professional networks, community groups etc. as Volunteer Providers.
● Ensure key partners are smoothly handed over to the relevant colleagues within the business at the appropriate time.
● Provide regular reports on progress related to the role.

Remuneration and benefits: Salary bracket of £32,000 (pro rata) plus London weighting if successful candidate lives in London,, up to 6.5% employer pension contribution and 25 days holiday per year (pro rata).

This is a freelance role, which involves travelling to sites across the UK, delivery will be in person from 9am-4pm on dates arranged in advance.
- The Holocaust Educational Trust (HET) work to educate every person from every background in the UK about the Holocaust and its contemporary relevance. We believe that the Holocaust must have a permanent place in our nation’s collective memory. We work across the UK, providing a wide range of educational programmes.
- Over the course of our history, we have created and delivered innovative and meaningful learning experiences – teaching young people about the Holocaust and ensuring that our educational initiatives have a long term and positive impact on the people we reach. In June 2024, we launched Testimony 360: People and Places of the Holocaust, after several years of research and development.
- HET is looking for outstanding Educators to deliver our brand-new school programme, Testimony 360: People and Places of the Holocaust. Testimony 360 is an immersive, interactive digital education programme that combines eyewitness testimony with virtual site-based learning to offer students an unforgettable learning experience. Students use laptops and VR headsets throughout the lesson, so educators delivering the programme need to be confident and comfortable using this technology as part of their teaching (training will be provided).
- The successful candidates will come from a teaching background and will work with a dynamic education team that is at the heart of our mission to educate people from every background across the country about the Holocaust. The successful candidate will be able to undertake national travel, to and from schools, to deliver the sessions.
Sessions run on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
