What the role involves

1. Ensuring that there are regular training opportunities for both new starters and those requiring refresher sessions or updates when new functions or forms are released. This will include running system training drop in sessions to assist with queries / hear feedback, and relaying information from these to the Information Governance and IT manager.

2. To support managing the case recording system help desk – so that support is always ava

ilable to front line workers and other stakeholders.

3. Working with the Learning and Development Coordinator to establish an evaluation method and implement this to enable us to assess the effectiveness of each training session and using this to improve future delivery.

4. Produce effective training materials and guidance documents, and develop and maintain a training area on our case recording system, including the creation of dummy forms and files for new users to access and use as a training sandbox

5. Performing case recording system changes to forms and lists as directed by the Information Governance and IT Lead

6. Support the Data Reporting and System Support Lead with regards to user administration and user support at times of absence and increased need

7. Working with the Learning and Development Coordinator to support the creation of e-learning training modules for our LMS (currently RISE) Acting at all times in line with safeguarding legislation and guidance in addition to Safer London’s practice guidelines and wider pan-London processes and protocols.

8. Undertaking any other duties as required and commensurate with the level of this post, including covering the Data Reporting and CRS support lead post functions when relevant.

SANE is a UK-wide mental health charity working to improve the quality of life of anyone affected by mental illness. It aims to raise awareness and understanding of all mental health conditions; fight to improve frontline mental health services for individuals and carers; provide support, information and guidance through SANEline, our Call Back service, email and text support; and promote and host research into causes, treatments and therapies through its Prince of Wales International Centre for SANE research.

About the Role

We are looking for people interested in providing compassionate support to people affected by mental health problems. This includes supporting people with severe mental illness, and carers, families and friends. You will provide support by telephone, email and text, as well as supporting our skilled volunteers through their development and weekly shifts.

This role also provides valuable practical experience in providing emotional support to vulnerable people.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Medair UK team as we are seeking a part-time Operations Support Officer. The post holder will be responsible for Medair UK’s financial and office administration, including maintenance of the organisation’s CRM database and some fundraising support. You will ensure the accurate processing and timely delivery of donor and financial information and acting as first point of contact for the organisation, you will be responding to supporter enquiries. You will also provide general office, and IT support to the Head of Operations.

Together, we work in some of the most remote and difficult places on earth, empowering people to build a better future. Key Activities

      Donation Processing

• Responsible for the timely recording and processing of all incoming donations (including via our website, bank account, third party platforms and cheques) into the Medair UK CRM (Salesforce).
• Ensure all donors receive gift acknowledgements / thank you letters corresponding to each gift received.
• Maintain up-to-date records of donors, staff and other contacts in the Medair UK database.
• Process and record completed Gift Aid declarations and support in the regular reclaim of Gift Aid.

      Financial Administration

• Inputting of all financial data (income and expenditure) into Quick Books.
• Preparing and following up suppliers invoices for payment.
• Processing expenses claims.
• Managing the banking of income and supporter cheques.
• Support the Head of Operations to implement the month and year end reconciliation process for both Salesforce and Quick Books.

      Facilities & Office Management

• Act as first point of contact for the office and public enquiries, responding to incoming telephone calls and emails.
• Answer basic enquiries about Medair's work and distributing information to supporters and others as required.
• Manage and order office supplies, stationery and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment, administrating risk assessments, H&S and fire safety procedures.

      Information Technology

• Ensuring the maintenance of the IT system and handling minor in-house IT technical issues for staff and volunteers. 
• Liaising with the Global Support Office IT Helpdesk team to ensure the timely set up of IT for new staff and volunteers – i.e. setting up email addresses, and relevant permissions.
• Ensuring that IT permissions are current, and that these are amended as and when staff and volunteers leave.
• Assisting with continuous improvements in Medair UK’s use of IT.

​    Engagement Support

• Supporting fundraising activities with data segmentation and the production of standard and custom reports in Salesforce
• Supporting the production and automation of email newsletter and appeals via Campaign Monitor

The Role

As a Visitor Support Officer, you will provide excellent customer service to visitors by responding to phone calls, emails and face-to-face interactions at the reception desk at our headquarters in Hyde Park.

Role Overview: Knowledge in grant-funding, capacity building, organisational support

We are seeking a proactive and collaborative Charity Support Officer to help deliver AWN’s mission. You will be the first point of contact for grassroots charities, supporting them to strengthen their organisations and improve their chances of securing grant funding by offering practical guidance, signposting, and building trusted relationships that help them grow in confidence and resilience. The role includes helping organisations strengthen governance and compliance, sharing information on grant-funding opportunities, and supporting them to identify challenges and develop practical solutions.
 
The non-profits you will support work across a wide range of areas for example: women, health and wellbeing, youth, homelessness and poverty, family services, sports, faith groups, crime and gangs, prisoners and ex-offenders, refugees and asylum seekers, drug addiction, older people and rehabilitation, and many more.

• Act as the first point of contact for charities and community groups, managing a varied caseload and balancing priorities. 

• Carry out needs assessments to understand organisations strengths, challenges, and funding needs, and develop clear action plans.

Essential Criteria 

• 3+ years’ experience within the UK charity sector (domestic, not solely international). 

• Strong understanding of charity governance, compliance, and the UK funding and grant-making landscape. 

• Insight into the needs and challenges of small and grassroots non-profits, with awareness of the systemic barriers affecting Muslim-led organisations. 

• Experience supporting or advising charities, community groups, or local networks to build capacity and resilience. 

• Ability to work collaboratively with organisations, offering constructive and practical guidance. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with confidence in public speaking and engaging a wide range of stakeholders. 

• Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. 

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.  

• Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a small team, with minimal supervision.

Purpose of the Role

The Parish Finance Support Officer (PFSO) will be responsible for communicating and collaborating with the Parishes on their financial needs and issues, and ensuring that they are met by the central team where appropriate, or giving a steer on what responsibility properly resides at the Parish level. The PFSO will also provide feedback and suggestions to finance teams on how to improve their services and performance. the PFSO will have a broad knowledge of all aspects of finance, as well as strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. The finance team is small and supportive, and all members are expected to contribute flexibly across a variety of tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for parish employees and clergy on all finance-related queries and issues.
• To develop a clear understanding of the financial goals, challenges, and opportunities within each parish.

We are expanding our small team by recruiting an Advice Support Officer. The post holder will providing support to Project 17’s frontline advice and advocacy service for people with no recourse to public funds. This includes organising destitution support, assisting with grant applications, and assisting with monitoring and evaluation.

Together for Short Lives is a charity that ensures seriously ill children and their families receive the care they need, especially at the end of life. We work closely with families, care professionals, and services to improve children’s palliative care. A fantastic opportunity is available for a Family Support Hub Officer to join us as maternity cover for 9 months. You will work within our Family Support Hub, liaising with identified partners to provide support to families with a seriously ill child, as well as providing grants administration and event organisation support. 

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to help Together for Short Lives reach and support more families - responding appropriately to their needs by listening, signposting or referring onto internal and external support e.g.. grants, peer support, events and engagement opportunities. You will support families contacting Together for Short Lives through the Helpline, website and from partner referrals.

This role combines responsibility for grant administration and voucher processing with day-to-day family support hub tasks, including managing email inboxes and co-ordinating communications. The postholder will ensure that families receive timely information, compassionate support, and access to financial assistance, while helping the organisation meet funding obligations and maintain high-quality service delivery.

Prostate Cancer UK offers a range of services to support men affected by prostate cancer and their loved ones. These include a multi-channel helpline, printed and online health information, 1:1 peer support and an online community.

We’re looking for a Support Services Innovation Manager to join us in an exciting new role, focused on growing the services’ reach, personalisation and variety, and helping them respond to key challenges. These include rising prostate cancer rates, more complex care pathways and treatments, shifting expectations around healthcare, and rapid changes in online behaviour due to evolving consumer-facing AI technology.

We’re also in the process of developing an ambitious new 10-year strategy for the charity, and you’ll play a key role in setting the terms for how we approach service development across this horizon. You'll carry out a discovery phase to explore the internal and external factors shaping our services, followed by a summary report with recommendations for innovation. Drawing on these insights, you’ll deliver and evaluate innovation use cases, ranging from MVPs to ready-to-implement solutions.

Alongside specific deliverables, you'll play a broader role across the Support Services team, spotting opportunities for innovation across service delivery, supporting business case development, and helping build our capability to evaluate service impact. You’ll use data to shape recommendations, foster an innovation mindset, and support colleagues to experiment, test and learn. You’ll also strengthen collaboration with the Technology team, help shape our long-term innovation approach, and ensure our work is informed by sector insights and shared effectively across the organisation.

To be successful in this role you’ll bring hands-on experience in service innovation and design, with a solid understanding of co-production and co-design principles. You’ll be familiar with navigating both agile and waterfall approaches to project delivery.

Based across two properties, you and your team will be supporting ten adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, as well as additional mental and physical health needs.

You will play a pivotal ambassadorial role, continuing Centre’s 404 service expansion into the London Brough of Brent and bringing our expertise, vision and values to families in need.

This varied and dynamic role will lead on the set up, coordination and provision of excellent person-centred care and support to service users, enabling them to live independently in their home and be supported in all aspects of day-to-day living. As Project Manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and a range of activities and support to meet individual needs. You will also contribute to the development of the team and be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of support workers.

The ideal candidate will have experience of leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another vulnerable client group. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would be an advantage.
