Oasis is looking for someone who can combine an entrepreneurial flair and excellent leadership skills to become the next Community Hub Leader at -Oasis Hub Hadley and Enfield, London. 

The post holder will lead the development of the Hub, supporting the Oasis Academies and wider local community. The role will hold the vision of integrated community delivery, which will include a range of projects such as family support, volunteering, advice and support, community events.

This is a key role as you will be responsible for strategic oversight of the hub charity, ensuring the youth and community work supports the work of the academy, working alongside other local Oasis leaders such as the Principals, volunteers and members of the local community to develop a joined up local vision for the community.

Some of the specific duties of this role include:

· Establishment and coordination of a range of services such as family support, holiday provision, volunteering and community empowerment projects.

· Building supportive working partnerships across the community and various groups.

· Leading strategic development (e.g. comms, income generation, MEL)

· Planning, resource and coordinate the community plan, measuring impact.

· Developing a team that can grow an Oasis Movement (e.g. engaging staff, volunteers and community workers).

This is very much a relational and project management role. As such, the successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

· Experience of leading community delivery and growing projects from start-up phase.

· Innovative use of resources and budget management to maximise funding.

· A thorough knowledge and understanding community work.

· An education to degree level or equivalent and /or relevant professional qualification.

About the Role

As Supporter Acquisition Manager, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end delivery of direct marketing campaigns focused on recruiting new donors. Job Purpose

The finance team is a core part of our Operations Directorate, and although we’re a small team we have a huge impact on the effectiveness of our organisation. The team provides support and guidance to all staff members on how to process invoices, expenses, and generally manage their budgets effectively. The main purpose of the Finance Officer role is to provide key support to the finance team with our finance processes, supporting staff members across the organisation, helping with any queries on a day-to-day basis, as well as supporting our members and suppliers with queries. The Finance Officer ensures all financial transactions are processed in accordance with BSR’s procedures and processes and in line with data protection regulations. 

You don’t need to have worked in the charity sector previously. Continual professional development is vital for us as a team, and so we’re happy to support you if you’re interested in completing a professional finance qualification.

Main Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger 

• Receive all supplier invoices (including member expenses), checking correct finance codes with relevant nominal, department, project, VAT and fund codes are on all invoices, and that the necessary authorisation is present 
• Scan and file all finance related documents (e.g. bank statements)  
• Set up fortnightly supplier payment runs for review by the Finance Manager 

 Sales Ledger 

• Work with budget holders and project leads to produce sales invoices  
• Liaise with budget holders to ensure correct coding of all invoices (nominal, department, project, VAT, and fund codes) 
• Credit Control – dealing with customer queries and chasing for payments fortnightly 

Other Finance Responsibilities 

• Manage monthly credit card process including posting in Dext and reconciliation in Xero  
• Assist the Finance Manager with preparing for year end and audit fieldwork 
• Reconcile purchase ledger payments with the bank transactions 
• Run new starter finance inductions for budget holders and set up new staff on finance systems

About the role of Assistant Communications Officer:

•  You will be supporting both the media team and wider communications team to help us reach as wide an audience as possible.
•  Supporting the media team with day-to-day tasks such as writing and issuing the daily news summary, managing rotas, assisting with compiling monthly reports, take part in the team rota to be the first point of contact for media requests coming into the organisation - via press phone and media inbox.

The Senior Bid and Funding Officer is a new role for Involve as we seek to build the infrastructure to support the growth that we have experienced in recent years.  This role will sit within our Finance & Support Services function and will work alongside colleagues at all levels in the Innovation & Practice, Capacity Building & Standards and Advocacy & Communications functions to identify and provide compelling proposals in response to fundraising and tender opportunities.

As an Income and Housing Officer you will help to maximise the organisation's rental income collection,n effectively manage rent arrears and deal with other breaches of the occupancy agreement.

What you'll do:
* Take responsibility for maximising rent collection across a defined patch of Look Ahead's portfolio of properties ensuring that rent collection targets are met and tenancies sustained

* Advise operational teams on their support related arrears management activities, including holding local surgeries with tenants and staff, taking direct control of higher level and more complex arrears cases

* Proactively monitor all current and former accounts within the defined patch and make recommendations to the Housing Manager for appropriate former accounts to be written off or referred to Look Ahead's debt collection agency

* Ensure that the rent collection function is carried out both sensitively and in a timely fashion so as to avoid the build up of excessive arrears and record all case details accurately.

JOB DESCRIPTION 

We are hiring two Community Engagement Officers to join our ambitious team. Reporting to the Community

Engagement Manager, these two roles will work closely together to support the growth of our Community Giving Program from £310,000 to £650,000 over the next three years.

The Community Engagement Officer will be be responsible for implementing, and supporting the development of, our donor acqusition and retention strategies for key organisations across our catchment area; identifying new opportunities for growth, and analysing the effectiveness of fundraising initiatives to ensure targets are achieved. The post holder will excel at providing exceptional stewardship and using data insight to guide decision-making.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a professional fundraiser with demonstrable experience in community fundraising or corporate partnerships. Experience managing a portfolio of community groups or in securing successful long-term partnerships is essential. 

You will be a friendly, empathetic and confident public speaker who enjoys networking with a variety of internal and external stakeholders – able to instantly connect with others and communicate effectively about our work. 

You will hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel across our catchment area to meet supporters.

Occasionally undertaking weekend, early morning, and evening work – time off in lieu will be given.

An incredibly rare in-house opportunity for a self-motivated & collaborative Communications Officer to join one of the City of London’s most historic and prestigious organisations. 

Founded in 1617, The Society of Apothecaries was set up as a members’ association specifically to support doctors, pharmacists, and other health professionals, with the purpose of furthering education, research and innovation in the medical field. Today, the Society, continues to support medical students who are struggling financially and through our Centre for Health Studies, runs a wide range of educational programmes including, post-graduate Medical Diplomas, courses and lectures open to the General Public.  Our members are still predominantly medical professionals.  We are based at the wonderful C17th Apothecaries Hall, a Grade 1 listed building and Scheduled Ancient Monument, where we host a wide range of events including black- and white-tie dinners.   

The Communications Officer reports directly to the Senior Leadership Team and sits at the centre of all the Society’s activities.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who believes that excellent communications have the power to bring people together to facilitate change.  You will have the opportunity to develop this role, which is creative, varied and has huge impact.

You will:

1. Manage the communications and engagement functions in-house to serve all areas of the Society.

2. In collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team & key stakeholders, manage the annual pattern of communications & engagement activities required and ensure key deadlines are met.

3. Be the guardian of the Society’s brand including visual content, tone of voice and owned channels of communication; working with external branding consultants where applicable, act as the main point of contact for checking & editing materials destined for Society and external audiences to ensure they comply with agreed branding.

4. Work across the Society to ensure consistency of message in all communications.

5. Build and maintain relationships across all internal departments to develop, coordinate and facilitate effective communications.

6. Through excellent relationship management with all key stakeholders, be aware of current activities across all of the Society’s branches.

7. Develop & deliver content across the Society’s communications channels, e.g. website, digital newsletters, social media, media relations, printed and digital leaflets, following agreed approval processes and in collaboration with relevant teams.

8. Act as the webmaster for the Society’s website; administering updates within agreed approval processes.

9. Market the Society’s activities including events, lectures, examinations, and courses to attract attendance.

10.  Lead the annual production of key Society engagement materials, including the Society Members’ Handbook, Apothecary journal and Galen Awards Ceremony brochure, managing and liaising with key contributors (including volunteers) to ensure timelines are met.

11.  Evaluate the success of communications activities against the Society’s goals and objectives to inform the way forward.

12.  Report and collaborate on communications activities by organising and minuting monthly comms meetings.

13.  Have a strong awareness of the Society’s purpose and objectives, through familiarity with the Communications Strategy, Society’s Standing Orders & By-laws, output of Committees and operational strategic plans.

Please note that due to the high level of interest in this role, you must have hands-on experience of creating and implementing content, including using digital platforms.  You will be a wordsmith with a proven track record of producing content appropriate for the target audience(s).

Commercial Compliance Manager

Sue Ryder has an exciting opportunity to support the development and implementation of a compliance framework across all commercial operations (fundraising and retail) at Sue Ryder that will drive the future of one of the largest and most recognisable UK healthcare charities so we can continue to provide 2.7 million hours of expert medical, practical, bereavement and emotional support every year, in our hospices, in people's homes and in the community.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Support and Governance, the role works alongside the Fundraising Supporter Services and Standards Manager, Retail Operations Manager and Retail Support & Projects Manager. The role will work closely with key stakeholders across Sue Ryder predominantly to focus on fundraising operational compliance and provide leadership and assurance guidance for Retail and other commercial operations that Sue Ryder develop in the future.

You will support the development and implementation of a compliance framework across fundraising operations at Sue Ryder which includes, maintaining awareness of external legal and regulatory requirements, engaging stakeholders to review and update policies, work with subject matter experts to create compliance processes and training.
You will also build and maintain reporting and other mechanisms which clearly identify where assurance is available or where not, providing leaders with data to focus on improving compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a compliance plan with agreed assurance levels, including audits, SLA and KPI reporting, and comprehensive documentation for ongoing commercial fundraising and retail operations.

• Review and update all compliance policies and procedures, recommending and gaining agreement with subject matter experts for appropriate review periods.

• Ensure adequate training resources are available for compliance related matters and ensure regular reporting to monitor compliance and inform managers and ensure compliance is embedded in campaign planning and execution. Review, advise and sign off all fundraising materials sent out across Sue Ryder with subject matter experts.

• Work with stakeholders to build and deliver an ongoing compliance communications plan and strategy

You will have

• Expert knowledge of the CAP code, General Data Protection Regulation, Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), Code of Fundraising Practice and other charity requirements set by the ICO, the Fundraising Regulator, Gambling Commission’s Licence Conditions and Code of Practice and HMRC Gift Aid Standards.

• Proven experience of creating and reviewing policies and guidance in a fundraising or retail environment.

• Experienced in implementing reporting mechanisms (SLA/KPIs) using multiple data sources and systems and internal and external audit processes and risk management.

• Understand and have experience of project management processes.

• Excellent teamwork, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills.

• Able to develop a network of relationships across the organisation to deliver objectives as a skilled negotiator able to influence and motivate others

• Capable of managing competing priorities to meet business need, balancing risk and commercial benefit
