An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Devices Co-ordinator to join the Clinical Asset Team. Your role is to support the Medical Devices Safety Engineer in pro-actively delivering maintenance responses, updating jobs on the CAFM system, ensuring compliance and asset management systems are up to date at all times.

Role Requirements

• Provide operational assistance to all matters pertaining to clinical assets including compliance, asset management, service management and lifecycle management.
• Ensure clinical assets onsite are compliant or taken out of service.
• Allocate jobs to the appropriate contractor, using CAFM systems to create a document trail and manage frequently broken items, escalating issues to the Medical Devices Safety Engineer as appropriate.
• Raise purchase orders as required, appropriately storing relevant documents accessible to the team with expenditure tracked and ensuring appropriate service contracts are in place.
• Updating compliance system with relevant documents for compliance and tracking purposes (including those for Therapy items)
• Participating in the CAWG (Clinical Asset Working Group) and chairing and minute taking in absence of the Medical Devices Safety Officer
• Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.
• First response to clinical asset jobs coming through to the Helpdesk, co-ordinating with clinical staff at the scene, ensuring the appropriate response is carried out.
• Ability to work under pressure and to make decisions and problem solve as issues arrive
• React to orders and PPMs and within set SLA timeline, ensuring ongoing monitoring. Supporting the Medical Devices Safety Engineer in development of new PPMs.
• Collate relevant data and assist with the weekly work order tracker report and assist in distribution to relevant stakeholders.

About Us

Safer Waves was set up in 2019 to provide support to merchant seafarers who have experienced sexual assault, sexual harassment or gender discrimination on board.

Safer Waves provides an anonymous email support service, run by volunteers who are trained in responding to disclosures of sexual violence, and who understand the specific challenges experienced when these events happen onboard a vessel.

We work with shipping companies, industry leaders, law enforcement and maritime training providers to raise awareness of sexual violence within the maritime industry, and to improve the support that is available to seafarers who experience it.

Job Purpose

For the first 5 years, Safer Waves has been a volunteer-led organisation. We are now in the exciting position of being able to recruit a CEO, and we are looking for an individual who has the passion to see this new organisation thrive in the maritime welfare sector.

As the head of a small and rapidly developing organisation, the CEO role will be extremely varied, with the opportunity to shape the organisational structure as needed. The CEO will work closely with the trustee board and Operations Manager to deliver the strategy, improve sustainability and financial resilience, manage risk and deliver high-quality services to our beneficiaries.

Overview and key points on the role  | Rape Crisis South London is looking for 2 part time skilled, passionate and professional Caseworkers who will be based within the Advocacy Service.  As a Caseworker you will support clients through their journey through the housing and benefits system by providing practical and emotional support to survivors of sexual violence.  You should have a good working knowledge of Housing processes and Welfare benefits systems with experience of carrying out assessments and completing applications.  In addition to having excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills you should also be able to develop key relationships with external agencies such as the local authority.   You should have demonstrable experience working with survivors of sexual violence and of working in a trauma-informed way. The role

This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your educational skills, in a natural environment, whilst engaging young people,  as well as our local communities.  You will have a background and passion for teaching and engaging a range of audiences, to learn about the importance of our rivers, together with the ecosystems that survive and thrive around them.  You will have a hands on approach, with the ability to design, develop and deliver a range of educational activities to suit your varying audiences.  You will enjoy having time working independently to create your teaching sessions, either in an office environment or at home, as well as being outside, delivering your teaching or activities.

Whilst you will predominately cover the Surrey catchment area, you will be happy and flexible to work anywhere within the south east, together with some degree of flexibility with the hours that you work, so that events can be held on occasional evenings and weekends.  Your time will be spent at home developing your sessions, delivering a range of activities such as guided walks or talks, as well as hands on activities in and around a river, or educational events.

Bipolar UK is the only national charity dedicated to supporting individuals affected by bipolar, including carers and families. We're launching an exciting new lottery-funded project in Northern Ireland to expand our peer support network.

As Senior Volunteer Co-ordinator, you’ll play a central role in growing and supporting our network of local support groups. You’ll recruit, onboard and induct volunteer co-facilitators, ensuring a welcoming, inclusive experience. You’ll supervise and support volunteers, helping them develop skills and confidence to deliver safe, effective peer support—whether online or in-person.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the set-up and running of new support groups across Northern Ireland.
• Providing ongoing training and practical assistance to volunteers.
• Collaborating on the promotion of groups and services with internal teams and external partners.
• Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, GDPR and internal policies.
• Promoting Bipolar UK’s self-management courses and psychoeducation resources.
• Representing the charity within communities and building partnerships with local mental health services.

This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone with strong communication skills, experience supporting volunteers, and a passion for peer-led mental health support.

Applicants must be based in Northern Ireland due to the requirments of the role.

Salary: £28,000–£30,000 | Contract: 2-year fixed term (extension subject to funding)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Food Foundation. This position will expand the capacity of Food Foundation Communications Team, delivering engaging, high-impact external communications. The focus will be on brand and design and managing the development of creative content to enhance our digital presence, visual storytelling and brand awareness.

The role requires a creative thinker with a strategic approach to content who will promote our key messaging across a range of platforms and mediums. The role will entail preparing and delivering innovative and compelling content in both written, visual and video production formats, which showcase the work of the Charity and its collaborators. Using platforms such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva and Flourish, this role will help tell the important stories which emanate from the work of the Food Foundation. This could include publicising events, communicating report findings and raising awareness and addressing interesting topics that are relevant to the work of the charity. The role will be responsible for overseeing the creation and execution of design deliverables such as marketing materials, briefing documents, social media assets and webpages.

This role will also play a part in putting together content strategies, posting across our social media channels and supporting with the running of the busy press office when needed. They will ensure there is a vibrant, creative and relevant tone across all platforms and mediums. Working closely with the Senior Communications Manager, this person will be responsible for providing creative direction and guidance for design projects, ensuring they align with brand guidelines and the charity’s goals.
