The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences - is seeking a Development Operations and Stewardship Officer to join our Development Directorate, providing key support within a small fundraising team of 9. About Our Client

Our client provides free, specialist emotional and practical support to people affected by fatal and life-changing road collisions across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire. Each year, their small but dedicated team and cohort of over 70 trained volunteer Counsellors provide life-changing support to hundreds of individuals and families coping with grief, trauma, and loss.

Following a period of significant operational change, they are seeking a dynamic, highly organised Operations Manager to strengthen their internal systems, ensure compliance, and provide essential resilience to the organisation.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the organisation's day-to-day operations. You'll manage HR processes, oversee leave and TOIL systems, coordinate policy reviews, lead procurement (IT, insurance, mobile contracts, etc.), and support internal governance and compliance.

You'll also provide vital assistance across other functions, including non-clinical training coordination and event support for their growing fundraising activity. About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation.  We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.

Women in Prison’s Advocates deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending.

Primary location of role

About the job role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Estates Manager in our Estates team, working with a range of stakeholders and people who use our services. We are looking for an outstanding individual who has experience in the day-to-day management of our buildings and infrastructure and an ability to manage a dynamic and proactive, forward-looking maintenance environment, including reactive maintenance, water safety, fire safety, and statutory testing. and practical knowledge of CAFM systems and Microsoft systems.

You will also lead on health and safety, ensuring robust compliance, risk management, and safe systems of work across all estate and contractor activities.

• Strong technical knowledge of building services, maintenance, and statutory compliance.

East Brighton Trust (EBT) is seeking an experienced Head of Projects and Fundraising to lead the creation, development, and funding of innovative projects across East Brighton, and to play a key role in establishing a new charity being developed by EBT to lead creative, enterprise, and social infrastructure work in the area.

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Refuge Worker to join our team, providing vital support in a safe and secure environment for those in crisis. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals when they need it most.

As a Refuge Worker, you will be responsible for delivering practical and emotional support to residents, ensuring their safety and wellbeing while they rebuild their lives. Key duties include conducting risk assessments, safety planning, supporting access to benefits and housing, liaising with external agencies, and maintaining accurate case records. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, resilient, and highly organised, with experience of working in a support or advocacy role, ideally within the domestic abuse or safeguarding sector.
