Summary

The role will involve:

1. Supporting the Bishop of London and the Archbishop of York in their work in the House of Lords.
2. Advising on and researching materials for parliamentary speeches and interventions.
3. Monitoring and keeping the Bishop of London and the Archbishop of York informed about relevant parliamentary developments and timetables.
4. Liaising with MPs, Peers and their staff, Parliamentary officials and others in and outside the NCIs on behalf of the Bishop and Archbishop.
5. Drafting articles for publication, press notices or social media about the Bishop's and Archbishops' work, in close collaboration with their Communications Officers.
6. Providing research resource for the Archbishop in his provincial role and both he and the Bishop in their dioceses for non-parliamentary work. This may involve researching and drafting for talks, articles and lectures.
7. Assisting with disseminating the Church's responses to specific issues or bills, as agreed with the Head of Parliamentary Affairs and Deputy Head of Parliamentary Affairs. Supporting the Head and Deputy Head of Parliamentary Affairs in their wider responsibilities and standing in for them as and when required.
8. Working with the Parliamentary Team to ensure that the Bishop and Archbishop are kept abreast of the wider activities of the Lords Spiritual and the Parliamentary Team.

• This is a full-time post which is offered initially for a fixed-term of 12 months.
• 75% of the postholder's working time will be spent in support of the Bishop of London and 25% of the Archbishop of York.

Sex Education Forum was founded in 1987 and became an independent charity in 2021. We convene over 70 Partner organisations, working together to make sure that the relationships and sex education (RSE) young people get is right for them. We influence national policy, are a respected voice in the media and contribute to ground-breaking research on RSE. By working in partnership with young people and training educators who work with some of the most marginalized young people, we know what changes are needed to make RSE the best it can be. We will soon be launching a new three-year strategy and have secured multi-year funding to further embed youth inclusion in our work. This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Helpline Contact Centre Manager for the National Domestic Abuse Helpline, the role is designed to provide high quality practical and emotional support to Deputy Managers across the NDAH, the postholder is also responsible for the ongoing management of our contact centre, the platform that survivors use to contact the NDAH.

The National Domestic Abuse Helpline provides a national gateway to services and survivors across the UK fleeing domestic abuse, working in consultation with the Senior Operations Manager. The post-holder will be responsible for the ongoing management of our contact centre Genesys, a platform that helps us support our survivors and professionals contacting the NDAH.

10. Be an advocate for marginalised young people, the issues they face, and youth workers and projects working with them (pursuing prophetic mischief, provocation, and taking up our unique space in the youth ministry community).
11. Make links with appropriate Christian, voluntary and statutory bodies and to represent FYT in appropriate forums and pursue opportunities for collaborative working.
12. Support the active promotion of the FYT training and resource offer.
13. Lead the monitoring and evaluation (impact assessment) of FYT’s work

We have diversified the base of funding substantially, introduced new funding models, and identified new funding opportunities, including working with partners to respond to global donor or institutional funding.

Duties and key responsibilities:

About you:

We are looking for a confident fundraiser who thrives on developing new opportunities and is self-motivated and pro-active.

We would like you to have at least three years’ experience in fundraising with corporates and/or trusts and foundations, or have demonstrable transferable skills, particularly around networking/new business and writing proposals. We would also like you to demonstrate skills in delivering presentations, managing data or supporter journeys, and it would be ideal if you had experience of working in, or a personal interest in, global health or infectious diseases.

We are also looking for someone who can work under pressure to meet deadlines while also having an eye for detail and desire to maintain high standards. About the Role 

Building on an 8-figure philanthropic commitment made by Oak Foundation, the Development Manager will play a key role in securing the long-term viability and success of the Migrant Futures Institute. Working with the Director of Development and Alumni Relations and the MFI Director, the post holder will ensure that fundraising is an embedded strategic priority. They will develop and deliver outcome-led fundraising strategies that work within the broader University fundraising and communications environment and achieve philanthropic fundraising targets.

A little bit about the role

The Recruitment team is responsible for sourcing, selecting and hiring for 500 places for Approach Social Work (previously known as the Frontline programme) in local authorities across England.

You will be joining us at our busiest time, and will have day to day logistical and administration responsibilities with focus on supporting applicants through the selection stages of our programme, Approach Social Work.

You will work with the Selection team and share responsibilities between other Selection Coordinators to ensure the delivery of a highly effective and efficient recruitment process and to ensure the candidate experience is positive throughout. This role would suit someone who has had some experience interacting with customers, for example in admin support, retail, hospitality, customer service, or similar.

Please note that ‘Administrator’ is the title we use for advertising. Internally, administrators are known as ‘Coordinators’ so this role’s full title is Selection Coordinator.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating virtual assessment centres; manage scheduling, liaising with assessors and stakeholders, troubleshooting minor technical issues with the platform, and overseeing the smooth running of the day.
• Managing the logistics involved in planning and delivering over 40 assessment centre days (e.g. responding to candidate queries, monitoring candidate sign up, scheduling assessors).
• Tracking and monitoring candidate information using our online customer relationship management system, virtual assessment platform and Microsoft Excel using careful attention to detail.

About you

We are looking for a proactive and visible finance professional who is able to engage and build relationships across the organisation as a pivotal member within a values led high performing organisation. You will be a qualified accountant with proven track record of financial management awareness and a solid understanding of charity audits and statutory accounts preparation. You will have the ability to work with staff across the organisation in supporting good financial governance and oversight of financial operational matters. You will have the ability to analyse financial information and present this in a suitable format for the audience. You will have good ability to meet deadlines, be IT literate with an emphasis on financial systems, spreadsheets, Quickbooks and Excel. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and be able to work with minimum supervision.

About the role

The role will involve the management of the day-to-day financial activities, VAT, gift aid, payroll and the monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation. The job holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Officer and volunteers within the team. There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.
