Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join Young Hammersmith & Fulham and support a five-year collaborative initiative between Young Hammersmith & Fulham and Young Ealing Foundation, focused on strengthening supplementary schools across both boroughs. The Supplementary Schools Support Officer will provide practical support to supplementary schools, helping to improve educational outcomes for young people from diverse communities, preserve cultural heritage and mother-tongue language education, and create a thriving network of supplementary schools that share best practices and resources.

• Line Manager: Membership and Sector Development Manager
• Salary: £30,000 pro rata (16 hours per week - approximately £12,000 per annum)
• Location: Hybrid – Young H&F & YEF offices and flexible working across Hammersmith & Fulham and Ealing boroughs
• Hours: 16 hours per week, flexible working including evenings and weekends to accommodate supplementary schools' operating schedules

Key Responsibilities

Programme Management and Support

• Conduct regular site visits to supplementary schools across both boroughs (approximately 8 hours in each borough per week)
• Identify development needs of supplementary schools and connect them with relevant training and networking opportunities

• Facilitate termly network meetings to promote collaboration, information sharing, and professional development

About the Project

This is a five-year collaborative initiative between the Young Hammersmith & Fulham and the Young Ealing Foundation to support supplementary schools across both boroughs. The project has two main components:

1. A grants programme providing £50,000 annually (£25,000 per borough) to support supplementary schools, with an average grant of £3,000 per school.

2. A dedicated Supplementary Schools Support Officer working around 16 hours per week, who will offer practical support to schools.

The project aims to enhance the capacity and sustainability of supplementary schools, improve educational outcomes for young people from diverse communities, preserve cultural heritage and mother-tongue language education, foster a vibrant network of supplementary schools, and strengthen links between supplementary provision and mainstream education.

· devise and manage campaigns (offline and online) to advance WAUK’s objectives;

· regularly update website content (including quarterly e-news), WAUK Facebook page, X, Instagram profiles, LinkedIn;

Support and reporting

The appointee will:

· provide support to the programme officer and fundraising officer as and when needed

· provide the board with regular updates on the implementation of the communications and community engagement strategy

· contribute to the production of reports issued by and for the board including the annual report.

Administration

The appointee will be responsible for:

· basic book-keeping;

· monitoring and processing donations (digital and postal), responding to donors and updating databases;

· answering calls & inquiries including by email and post;

· general office admin tasks such as filing, maintaining office supplies.

We are looking for a compassionate and committed Youth Support and Project Officer to join our SANEline Services team with a dedicated focus on supporting young people affected by mental health.

THE ANGLICAN COMMUNION OFFICE (ACO) IS RECRUITING FOR AN OPERATIONS OFFICER

 The successful candidate will work closely with our Admin and Logistics Director, across a wide range of tasks and projects including;

· providing administrative support for meetings of the Instruments of Communion and other Inter-Anglican bodies

· supporting travel and logistics arrangements, acting as lead contact with the ACO’s travel agents 

· providing support to the IT Project Manager & Technical Consultant assisting staff with IT queries

About this role

The Communications and Content Officer is part of SPANA’s Communications and Campaigns team, responsible for creating high-quality content and delivering effective communications that support the charity’s mission. We are seeking a Communications and Content Officer for six months to assist the Communications and Campaigns team during an incredibly exciting, busy and rewarding period for our charity. 

The role involves producing engaging written, digital and visual content across multiple platforms, ensuring consistency with SPANA’s brand and messaging. It also includes managing and cataloguing content assets to support the organisation’s ongoing communications needs. Through compelling storytelling and collaboration across teams, the role helps drive awareness, advocacy, fundraising and internal engagement. 

Contract, salary and location

This is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), fixed term contract. The salary for this role is c.£33,000 per annum, subject to skills and experience. This is a hybrid, UK-based role with the requirement to spend 1-2 days (or more if preferred) in SPANA's London office.
