About the role

Kinship is undertaking a major feasibility Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) of Kinship Connected. This is aligned with recommendations set out in the Kinship Care Practice Guide published by Foundations (2024) and builds on evidence from the Kinship Navigator intervention of support for kinship carers in the USA. 

This feasibility RCT is a complex, multi-partner programme involving: 

• An active funding partner 
• An independent evaluation team 
• 5 participating local authorities (to be confirmed) 
• Internal delivery teams and cross organisational services 
• Kinship carers and lived experience subject experts

The Mobilisation and Delivery Project Manager is the operational engine of the programme, ensuring that every workstream is scoped, resourced, sequenced, delivered and evidenced, and that Kinship is trial-ready, compliant, and well-coordinated through set-up and delivery.

This role needs someone who is an excellent communicator, highly organised, unflappable, curious, and able to sit comfortably in the detail. The successful person will keep a firm grip on timelines, dependencies and risks.

You will manage a Programmes Officer as well as the set-up, processes, documentation, reporting, trial readiness, communications and cross-team coordination. You will work closely with the Programmes Manager who will share responsibility for ensuring high quality performance across the feasibility trial. You will both work closely with the core project team and partners.

You will lead operational quality, systems, processes, data, and compliance. The Programmes Manager will lead practice quality, staff development and supervision, safeguarding and relational delivery. Together you make sure the trial is delivered ethically, consistently and to a very high standard. 

Key responsibilities include:

• ​Lead the mobilisation plan across all workstreams and ensure trial readiness.
• Develop all processes, documentation and operational frameworks in line with the intervention protocol.
• Coordinate local authority onboarding, staff training and internal operational setup with the Programmes Manager.
• Work with internal Kinship teams to ensure everyone has clear expectations and is held to account for their performance during mobilisation and delivery – owning the workstreams.

• Ensure weekly pipeline monitoring for treatment and control recruitment.

• Work with the Programmes Manager and Kinship Family Workers to strengthen referral and screening processes where appropriate.

• Identify recruitment risks early and drive rapid problem-solving. 

• Maintain delivery tracking and operational dashboards.

• Identify throughput or workload risks and support adjustments. 

• Lead operational quality assurance (QA) including data quality checks, file audits and process compliance. 

• Coordinate data collection, monitoring and data quality for evaluator requirements (both treatment and control).

Essential knowledge and experience includes:

• Project Management Qualification or commensurate experience.

• Significant experience managing complex projects or programmes with multiple partners and tight delivery requirements.

• Proven experience designing and maintaining structured workflows, operational systems and project plans in fast-paced environments.

• Experience coordinating across multidisciplinary teams without direct line management responsibility.

• Strong background in quality assurance, process improvement and operational risk management.

• Experience translating evaluation, compliance or regulatory requirements into practical delivery processes.

• Experience developing and maintaining documentation, SOPs, manuals and operational toolkits.

• Experience working with data for monitoring, decision making and evaluation readiness.

• Proven ability to ensure data quality, consistency and audit readiness.

We are seeking a Social Media Manager to join our Communications and Marketing team. You will lead our social media strategy, manage our channels, and create compelling, story-led content that engages new and existing supporters and raises awareness of World Jewish Relief. You’ll oversee our online voice, working closely with colleagues across communications, fundraising, and programmes to ensure a consistent, authentic presence across all platforms.​

You will be responsible for:

• Planning, designing, editing and publishing engaging, exciting, on-brand content including posts, stories, videos, and graphics collaborating with the Creative team.
• Writing clear, emotive copy tailored for each platform and audience.
• Ensuring ethical storytelling practices that respect the dignity and rights of the people we work with.
• Iterating and delivering a social media strategy aligned with the World Jewish Relief’s mission, brand, and campaigns.
• Managing day-to-day activity across all current platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube) and support us to develop our presence outside of these platforms.
• Using analytics to track engagement, optimise content, and report on performance and growth, ensuring insights feed into our tactics moving forward.
• Working closely with Head of Marketing to support paid campaigns across digital channels and ensure they are aligned with organic activity.
• Working closely with the fundraising, Marketing & Communication teams to deliver integrated fundraising campaigns and events, aligned with campaign narratives but specific for social media audiences.
• Working closely with Programmers and Partners to ensure they understand what good content looks like so you can maximise across our channels.
• Monitoring social media conversations and engaging in a timely and compassionate way.​

You should have:

• Experience managing and growing social media channels for a brand, ideally a charity, NGO, or values-driven organisation.
• Strong content creation and editing skills (photography, video, and short-form editing) with experiencing creating content for a brand, with demonstrable results.
• Ability to create and tailor content for a variety of global audiences, and report on results.
• Confident using social media analytics and scheduling tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite).
• Understanding of ethical communications and safeguarding in international development contexts.
• Expertise using design tools such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Creative thinker with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Outstanding copywriting skills for online audiences and strong understanding of the Jewish community
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail and tone of voice.​

Role

The Events Manager will lead the planning and delivery of Degrees’ international events, including workshops that bring together funded researchers and the biennial Degrees Global Forum conference. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, they will design and manage high-quality events that strengthen collaboration, showcase research outcomes, and advance Degrees’ mission to support equitable SRM research in the Global South. This role requires strategic oversight, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver complex international events from concept to completion. 

Key responsibilities

Lead planning and delivery of events 

• Be responsible for the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of Degrees’ international events, including the biennial Degrees Global Forum and—in cooperation with the programmes team—quarterly regional research workshops.
• Support the delivery of policy engagement and fundraising events.
• Develop event concepts, agendas, and formats that align with organisational priorities. 
• Work closely with colleagues across other workstreams—particularly the Fundraising and Policy Engagement teams—to ensure that events are aligned with strategic priorities, that logistical planning complements programme content and policy objectives, and that participants and speakers are appropriately supported.
• Be responsible for end-to-end event budgets, forecasting, variance reporting; lead procurement;

Operational and logistical management 

• Ensure the smooth delivery of all event logistics, including venue selection, letters of contribution to participants, travel and lodging arrangements, visas, supplier contracting, budget management, insurances and risk assessments.
• Ensure events run smoothly, on schedule, and within budget, whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and participant experience.

Collaboration and stakeholder engagement 

• Work closely with colleagues across Degrees’ teams (programmes, policy engagement, communications, fundraising, and operations) to ensure events support strategic goals.
• Liaise with external partners, funders, and speakers to build strong relationships and deliver impactful, collaborative events.

Monitoring, learning, and continuous improvement 

• Capture lessons learned from each event and contribute to refining Degrees’ event strategy and processes.
• Support post-event communications, reporting, and knowledge sharing to maximise the impact and visibility of Degrees’ work.

Key relationships

• Within the Programmes team forge close working relations with the Programmes Manager and the three Programme Officers.
• Develop strong working relations with colleagues from the following teams i) Operations, ii) Policy & Engagement and iii) Communications
• Depending on future organisational growth, the role may require managing an Events Officer

As our next Chief Executive Officer, you will:

• Strategy & Impact: lead a collaborative listening phase and then develop and deliver a 3–5 year strategy and rolling business plan that defines the Centre’s core offer and impact targets.

• Governance & Finance: own the annual budget and medium-term financial modelling, deliver full-cost recovery across activity lines and present timely, accurate management information to trustees.

• Operational Leadership: ensure continuity of community services, venue trading and café operations and strengthen operational systems including safeguarding, H&S and business continuity.

• Income Generation: drive commercial performance of venue hire, events and catering, professionalise fundraising (major donors, legacies, corporate partnerships) and lead bids for multi-year statutory contracts.

• Community & Partnerships: sustain and deepen strategic relationships with Westminster City Council, commissioners, local partners and corporate supporters to secure commissioned work and philanthropic income.

• Estate Stewardship: manage day-to-day stewardship of the Centre’s significant ageing building, overseeing maintenance, lease/compliance obligations and contractor relationships.

• Brand & Profile: act as a visible ambassador locally and with funders to raise the Centre’s profile and champion its social value.

Who you are:

• A seasoned senior leader with proven experience in a small/medium charity, community organisation or social enterprise that combines front-line delivery with significant premises/estate responsibility.

• Demonstrable track record of leading strategic development and delivering organisational growth while balancing hands-on operational leadership.

• Strong commercial and earned-income expertise, with experience of running successful commercial – ideally site-based - operations.

• Confident in winning and managing statutory contracts and multi-year grant programmes; credible with local authorities, commissioners and corporate partners.

• Financially literate with direct budget and cash-flow accountability and experience of full-cost recovery modelling.

As a Financial Accountant within our Finance & Assurance directorate, you'll be part of a team that's transforming how we deliver financial partnership across the organisation. We're on an ambitious journey to become the Society's single point of financial truth. This is a highly technical, hands-on role where VAT expertise is your primary focus. You'll prepare and review accurate VAT returns, manage partial exemption calculations, and ensure we optimise our VAT position while maintaining full compliance. Beyond VAT, you'll oversee Corporation Tax, Gift Aid claims, and other statutory tax obligations, acting as the go-to technical expert who ensures we meet every requirement on time and in full.

Your deep knowledge of tax regulations, combined with your ability to explain complex matters clearly, will help colleagues across the Society understand their tax obligations and make tax-efficient decisions. About you:

You're a qualified accountant with expertise in VAT compliance, particularly partial exemption, and broader knowledge of Corporation Tax, Gift Aid, and other statutory obligations. You understand that effective tax work optimises our position within regulations while helping colleagues make informed, tax-efficient decisions. You're comfortable managing complex VAT scenarios and thrive in a hands-on role where technical precision matters.

You'll have:

- A CCAB qualification achieved through education, or demonstrable equivalent knowledge and experience that evidences your understanding of the role's requirements.
- Proven experience preparing VAT returns and managing partial exemption calculations, with confidence navigating complex VAT scenarios.
- Strong working knowledge of UK tax regulations including VAT, Gift Aid, Corporation Tax, and other relevant statutory obligations.
- Experience working with HMRC and managing tax enquiries, demonstrating credibility and professionalism in regulatory relationships.
- Demonstrated experience as a Financial Accountant in a large or complex organisation.
