The role
As Partner Engagement Manager you will promote the work of Family Fund and maintain a positive profile within the disability sector in Northern Ireland and with key Government/political stakeholders.
You will undertake a range of public affairs and policy activities that help sustain and grow our government funding and that secure positive outcomes for disabled children and their families. You will be acknowledged as a senior Family Fund representative across the disability sector, deputising for the Group CEO, or Directors on committees and at events as required.
You will also identify growth/income opportunities and feed through to relevant internal teams, providing follow up support, as required.
If you join us, you’ll be:
- Ensuring that Family Fund’s profile remains high amongst key organisations.
- Engaging with Ministers and MLAs to building awareness and support for Family Fund’s work.
- Family Fund’s key point of contact for all partners and stakeholders in Northern Ireland.
- Engaging in sector working groups and consortia to help secure improved support for families raising disabled children.
- Inputting to government policy development via consultations and direct work with government departments.
- Promoting the support offered by Family Fund to support demand generation, including targeted work in relation to our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion objectives.
- Supporting our Fundraising Team in identifying and securing funding opportunities that allow Family Fund to provide improved grants/information and support services to families.
About you
For this role you will need to have experience of presenting to external stakeholders and representing an organisation in a professional capacity. Ideally you will have some knowledge/experience of public affairs or policy development work.
To be successful in this role you will need to be self-motivated and be able to engage positively with different teams. You must be flexible, adaptable and resilient to work demands and change. This post is home based with regular travel.

We are currently looking for an OTW Project Assistant who will support the delivery of the On The Water project at one of our boating stations in London. The project provides young people from outside Sea Cadets, age 9-14, the opportunity to get on the water, learn new skills and build confidence through boating activity. This is a very varied and rewarding role that requires someone who is self-motivated, inspiring, organised, creative, tenacious, positive, IT competent and with a real interest in people with a attention to detail and real enthusiasm for the project.
Project delivery takes place between 29 July 2024 and 30 August 2025 when the young people will be attending boating sessions. During this busy time the Project Assistant will be based at the boat station each day to complete registration, manage group change overs, track project targets, encourage survey completion and fill booking gaps. Prior to delivery the role will be focused on supporting the booking process and engaging in community outreach. Once delivery is complete, the Project Assistant role will then predominantly be supporting the evaluation and data collection as well as supporting participants to join their local Sea Cadet unit.
Key Responsibilities
- The welcoming and registration of participants for the On The Water project
- Collecting and uploading daily statistics and figures that show how the project is progressing
- Making new and repeat bookings
- Talking to participants and their parents/carers about the opportunities within Sea Cadets
- Managing a waiting list and reducing drop-outs
- Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of participants alongside the Boat Station staff
- Ensure that participants complete surveys to share their experience of the project and encourage adults to feedback on their young people’s experience
- Attend any meetings as required by the project
- Assist with the evaluation of the On The Water project

This role is available on a fixed term 12-month contract (maternity cover), where you would work on a full-time basis (37.5 hours a week). Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a Housing Support Worker to join our new Supported Housing Scheme in Lambeth, an LGBTQ+ supported housing service with six units for young people aged 18-21 years. The service is due to open in late May 2025 and is part of a three-year funded joint project with Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing Association and Lambeth Council. The role is part of the Services team and is supervised by the Supported Housing Manager. Other members of the team include another part time Housing Support Worker and a part-time Youth Engagement Coordinator.
Please note this is a part time vacancy working 17.5 hours per week. The pro rata salary for hours worked is £15,257.50 (£30,515 full time equivalent). Hours will be worked on a Week A / Week B rota basis, Monday to Sunday between 10am and 8pm.
Job Summary

Working with staff and volunteers across the Home, you will have a hand in helping all the cats in our care, from feeding, cleaning, behaviourally assessing and socialising to rehoming. You will be responsible for organising cats in our care going into temporary foster homes. Generally, you will:
- Assist in the provision of treatment to cats as advised by our veterinary staff.
- Organise the cat foster programme, matching suitable cats with cat foster volunteers and advise on cat behaviour.

- Assist the Cat Adoption Officer with rehoming the cats under our care.

About the Role
The Operations Support Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of Migrateful’s cookery classes and the overall effectiveness of our operations.
A key deliverable of this role is also overseeing our invoicing processes. You’ll be responsible for performing bi-weekly checks, ensuring timely and accurate payments to cookery class hosts (Facilitators) and cookery class teachers (Chefs), and supporting improvements that help us better track the real cost of our classes. About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join IRMO as our Youth Project Coordinator and lead the Latin American Youth Forum (LAYF) – IRMO’s youth-led group for migrant and refugee young people aged 13–19.
LAYF offers a safe, supportive and trilingual space (Spanish, Portuguese and English) where young people can overcome barriers and begin to find their feet in the UK. Activities are designed to build confidence, support integration and foster leadership. Through the programme, participants can learn English through fun and engaging ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes, take part in weekly educational, arts-based and themed workshops, and receive one-to-one support through a targeted coaching programme focused on education, volunteering and employment.
Young people also have the opportunity to join the LAYF Youth Steering Group, where they can develop leadership skills and inspire other Spanish and Portuguese-speaking young people, while exploring London and beyond through cultural trips and residentials.
As Youth Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for registering and onboarding new participants, designing and delivering a creative weekly programme of LAYF Space Workshops, and offering one-to-one mentoring to help young people access opportunities and build confidence. At least one year’s experience working with young people in the UK

Experience designing and delivering engaging programmes for young people

Experience providing one-to-one coaching to young people

Experience using M&E tools to collect baseline/progress data and contribute to reports

Able to build trust with young people and maintain clear professional boundaries

Ability to manage your workload, meet deadlines and respond to changing demands

Resourceful and creative, with a problem-solving mindset

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish

Competent with Google Workspace, video conferencing tools, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Strong understanding of safeguarding

Strong understanding of the barriers faced by young Latin Americans in the UK
