About the Role

An experienced Relationship Builder, you’ll represent the Charity with our national partners and licensees, ensuring we build strong and lasting relationships. This person will also lead on maintaining accurate data and supporting the team with progress reporting and stakeholder management. This is a relationship and process-based role which reaches right across all the NHS trust’s services.

This role will also assist the development of communication materials, including the identification of grantees to spotlight through storytelling and sharing content that can be used to promote the impact of the charity’s work through social media and other channels.

The Senior Support Services Manager is responsible for leading and developing the charity’s support services for people affected when someone goes missing. You will lead the emotional and practical support provision to families, friends, colleagues and companies impacted by a disappearance. You will play a key role in ensuring that families contribute to and are ‘in the lead’ in influencing the charity’s work and in representing the needs of families across the organisation.

ABOUT YOU

You will need to have experience of:

• Managing frontline services delivering emotional and practical support, advocacy, advice, help or support to vulnerable people or families in person, by phone or digitally
• Managing and developing staff and volunteers
• Implementing safeguarding procedures, assessing risk, developing needs assessments and handling complex and sensitive situations
• Facilitating service user peer support, co-production and engagement;
• Planning and running events or groups for service users
• and possess the following skills:
• Ability to support people experiencing trauma
• Practical knowledge of and proven ability to reach vulnerable and underserved groups to develop services which meet their needs;
• Advocacy skills and the ability to train others in how to advocate with other agencies in support of service users

This Early Intervention approach will enable young people to access support in a timely way within their own community and we will work collaboratively with the Hackney Super Youth Hub enabling a one stop shop experience for local young people.

We are looking for passionate and motivated Therapeutic Youth Workers who are committed to supporting positive change for local young people to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:

· Undertake 1:1, group, detached and outreach work with young people

· Provide one-to-one key-working up to 12 sessions, combining youth work values and principles with a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach to help address a wide range of issues that may impact on young people’s mental health and wellbeing e.g. housing, employment, physical health, education, finances and relationships.

· Use a supportive, young person-centred approach. e.g. explaining what services are and what they do, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date, filling out forms together, making personal introductions, accompanying young people to initial meetings/sessions, being with them during phone calls etc.  

· To work with the Hackney Super Youth Hub, to support young people and liaise with appropriate professionals in the network.

· To maintain confidential, up to date and accurate records of all sessions and plans.

· Be an advocate for young people, supporting colleagues to understand adolescence, and how to engage with young people, particularly with concerns around:

o mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.

o Supporting vulnerable groups who would not otherwise receive support (levelling-up).

o Improving children and young people’s engagement with EET.

· QCF Level 3 Diploma in Youth work or equivalent and have experience of youth work in a youth work setting

· Experience of working with young people, delivering therapeutic groups and/or 1 to 1 interventions in a youth work or similar setting.

· Experience of building positive, impactful relationships with young people responding to their needs

Lambeth Step Forward Recovery Cluster is an accommodation based service, set across Lambeth including hub sites situated in Brixton and West Norwood. The service provides care and support to over 60 customers living with enduring long term mental health. We also provide a service for two short-term post hospital discharge schemes for customers, who need support following hospital admission.

The role of our Support Worker play's a crucial role in fulfilling our customers expectations, making a positive difference and where appropriate supporting customers to step down to a lower level of support. Our Support Worker's are guided and mentored by 2 team leaders alongside a Contract Manager and as part of the team you will be developing and sustaining a good quality service to all our customers. An essential part of this role involves developing good partnership working with a range of professional's and maintaining excellent record keeping in line with our compliance management. More importantly, you will be required to oversee support planning, updating Risk Management Plans, and Keyworking. Support Worker

We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our Hope House service in Slough.

£24,960.00 per annum, working 40 hours per week. Benefits include 25 days Annual Leave, pension schemes, staff discounts, healthcare and career progression.

We provide support for 16 customers, we have two sites Hope House (10 bed supported housing) Doddsfield Rd (6 flats independent living with floating support).
Hope House - Support hours 24 hours 7 days per week, with sleep- in based on a shift rota pattern - (sleep-ins staff are paid additional to salary advertised).
Doddsfield Rd - Floating support (during working hours)
Team - 1X Contract Manager, 1X Team Leader, 3.2 Support Workers.
Current Vacancy - 1x FTE/1 x FTC Support Worker role who will be allocated to work with customers at both sites.
Staff work closely with Slough Community Mental Health Team (SCMHT) we also have a designated Occupational Therapist working along side supporting staff. Customers also attend Hope College which is facilitated via Slough Mental Health Team as part of their recovery process needed in preparation into independent living.
This is a great opportunity for any support worker to gain exceptional experience within the mental health field, based on the solid working relationship with (SCMHT) We have since implemented training directly from SCMHT to support staff with understanding Mental Health diagnosis and Managing Crisis with our customers in-house.

What you'll do:

- Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/ Manager
- Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions
- Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available
- Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
- Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community
- Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
- Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards
- Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team
- Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible
- Adhere to Look Ahead's Policies and Procedures
- Engage in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills
- Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned
