JOB PURPOSE

To improve the provision of consistent high-quality debt advice, enhancing the experience of clients, by working collaboratively with delivery suppliers, to support them in implementing improvement activities, and in assessing and monitoring the quality of debt advice.

To support the implementation and ongoing facilitation of project quality assurance and improvement processes, working collaboratively with the EMMA management team to inform and support contract compliance and performance management activities.

To identify good practice and share learning with delivery suppliers, and across roles within MaPS and across all funded services to support improvement and development of advice services.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver individual strategic projects/business plan objectives for the team

Work with debt advice providers on an individual basis to improve the provision of consistent and high-quality debt advice, by supporting suppliers to implement improvement activities, and to assess and monitor the performance of their advisers and debt advice service overall to ensure that the quality of debt advice is improved where required, maintained and provided in accordance with regulation, project requirements, best practice, and agreed standards.  This includes:

• Working in collaboration with suppliers to make tailored recommendations and providing feedback to improve the quality of debt advice and client experience in a delivery supplier as appropriate, and identify good practice, where applicable

• Measuring and analysing information gathered against risk ratings, quality frameworks and standards and liaising with delivery suppliers to agree improvement action plans using the results of assessments and analysis

• Liaising with delivery suppliers about the practical arrangements required to carry out the monitoring of their work and improvement plans and ensure understanding of the service improvement process

• Supporting, where appropriate, the implementation of any follow on/corrective action following the assessment and /or support visits/file reviews.

Support participants internal and external quality assurance, quality related grant requirements and quality improvement schemes by:

• Ensuring delivery partners and advisers understand the objectives of the service and quality requirements.

• Facilitating the smooth application of the quality improvement process as required by LCALC and/ or the funder including writing guidance documents, regular liaison with the delivery suppliers and answering ad hoc queries.

Project compliance and quality requirements are achieved by:

• Ensuring delivery suppliers have a good awareness and understanding of the quality and service delivery requirements through communications and active involvement in the delivery of EMMA events related to quality improvement.

• Providing support and advice to delivery suppliers and other internal colleagues on the quality requirements and service delivery standards.

• Escalating risks promptly and appropriately.

• Providing support with delivery and quality compliance and performance management activities, including active involvement in performance enhancement plans as appropriate.

• Contributing to the design of monitoring and reporting processes.

• Respond to requests from delivery suppliers for support with quality matters and proactively encourage delivery suppliers to engage with quality improvement activities.

• Ensure that work undertaken reflects and supports equality and diversity.

Support the implementation of best practice systems and processes

Implement best practice systems and processes to ensure the development and improvement of delivery and advice services, including:

• Providing reports and/or data on trends, compliance, and quality.

• Liaising with colleagues to identify key learning points and delivery issues, to inform the development of EMMA.

• Identifying training and development needs within delivery suppliers, and work with colleagues and MaPS to improve the quality of advice services.

• Facilitate the sharing of learning and good practice identified through quality assurance and service improvement across EMMA delivery partners.

• Support delivery partners to maintain systems and processes for service delivery, management and improvement to ensure effective and consistent delivery of the quality of debt advice work.

• Support the development and/or updating of content for information systems.

Maintain expertise and insight

• Manage your own day to day activities to deliver tasks on time and to the required standard while gaining experience of the work of the Quality Team and maintaining expertise in debt advice.

• Be proactive in identifying external and internal contacts to inform activity to improve service delivery.

• Advise managers on recent developments in field of work.

• Undertake research and analysis in field of work.

Contribute to team

• Be an active member of the Quality Team, identifying opportunities for your own development.

With a focus on Northern Ireland, you'll lead regional initiatives, tailoring them to local needs and supporting teachers through workshops and online sessions. Responsibilities:
 
Regional engagement and delivery: Lead the project management and delivery of education initiatives tailored to the needs of the local education community, aligned with our strategy. Partnership and stakeholder engagement:

What we are looking for:

• A degree in science, preferably in the chemical sciences, or an equivalent qualification, together with evidence of working with schools, ideally with a teaching qualification.
• An understanding of school level, further and higher education and a breadth of knowledge of the education systems in the UK and Ireland together with a deep knowledge of the local curricula.
• Experience of stakeholder relationship management and an understanding of customer requirements, including those of: school teachers; FE teachers, HE academics and support staff; careers advisors; employers; governments and its agencies, and non-government bodies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a proven ability to write effectively for different audiences and deliver clear and engaging presentations both online and in-person.
• Good project management and team working skills and experience, with the ability to work independently.

Purpose of the post

The Engagement and Involvement Lead will engage with young people, families, schools and other interest-holders in the process of designing, delivering and ensuring the best outputs from the Adolescent Health Study, and is critical for the success of the project.  We are at the early stages of laying the foundations for this and in this new role we are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to co-ordinate and lead AHS’s cross-UK participant and public involvement and engagement activities.

This is a role that requires high levels of confidence, autonomy, enthusiasm and skill. The postholder will be responsible for delivering the project’s new Engagement and Involvement Strategy, including:  establishing and coordinating a Young Persons’ Advisory Group for AHS; developing and delivering AHS public engagement and involvement activities; outsourcing and supervising engagement and involvement activities that are better provided by external partners; scoping and advising on which routes for involvement and engagement activities are best suited to different tasks. 

Main responsibilities

 

Planning & strategy delivery

· Ensuring the study delivers the values and approaches set out in the AHS engagement and involvement strategy

· Planning, delivering and reporting on an ongoing, regular and important programme of engagement events and activities

· Reviewing/revising/adding to existing policies, processes and procedures to support effective working together with people and communities (such as reimbursement, compensation, making reasonable adjustments)

· Developing and implementing appropriate evaluation, monitoring and reporting of Community Engagement & Involvement

· Keeping up to date with good practice & sector advances and sharing these with the AHS team.

Practical engagement and involvement

· Developing methods to enhance engagement and involvement, and helping to build positive relationships with young people and stakeholder groups, including charities, third sector & advocacy groups

· Overseeing day-to-day planning & delivery of a high-quality engagement and involvement programme.  To include, for example:

o Managing and supporting Youth Advisors

o Recruiting and running a standing Young People’s Advisory Group (YPAG)

o Organising & delivering other ad hoc engagement activities as necessary

· Securing external partners where necessary, and managing contracts and delivery of their work across the UK

· Ensuring that any external parties (e.g. organisations, freelancers, consultants) supporting AHS’s involvement and engagement work have clear roles, responsibilities & goals

Knowledge, skills and experience

 

Essential criteria

· Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field

· Experience developing and delivering engagement and involvement activities with young people and other relevant interest-holders (such as parents, families, teachers and schools)

· A proven track record or professional background in working with young people – such as in youth work, counselling, mentoring, education, or a related setting

· Understanding and experience of good practice in youth engagement and involvement,  including the principles and implementation of safeguarding, data protection, and inclusive practice

· Awareness of culturally sensitive approaches and methods to be inclusive of all relevant perspectives, including  marginalised and vulnerable groups

· Experience of successful project management and ability to deliver, working independently.

· Ability to design and deliver workshops, focus groups or meetings that encourage open dialogue and collaboration

· Ability to manage a budget and report on financial activity accurately

· Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, with experience of working alongside and influencing senior level professionals

· Research literacy, with a clear understanding of large UK-wide research initiatives and the various competing demands and pressures the study will face

The Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Foundation is a drug and alcohol education charity that aims to support young people to make safe choices about drugs and alcohol and reduce harm. We do this through increasing understanding of the effects and risks, and helping to develop life skills and resilience. Research Officer

We’re looking for TWO motivated and detail-oriented Research Officers to support the Association’s research funding activities and award portfolio.

The Role

Working closely with a friendly and knowledgeable team, you’ll manage the logistics of research funding calls, support peer review and governance processes, and ensure accurate tracking of award progress and impact.

You’ll be the first point of contact for funded researchers and play a key role in making research accessible and visible to wider audiences.

The role includes opportunities to work with the Involvement Lead and Communications Lead, developing skills in research impact analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project management. You’ll also work closely with teams across the organisation to amplify the impact of stroke research in policy and practice.

About You

You will:

• Be educated to degree level in a science, health, social science or related discipline, or have equivalent research experience.
• Be confident handling research data, drafting accessible content, and working with a range of stakeholders including researchers, funders, and stroke survivors.
• Have excellent organisational, communication and analytical skills, with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.

About the Council

The role of Council is to lead on the GOC’s mission to protect the public by upholding high standards in eye care services.  The Council is composed of six lay members (including the Chair) and six registrant members (i.e. registered optometrists and dispensing opticians).  At least one member of the Council must work wholly or mainly in each of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.  One Council member acts as a Senior Council Member whose role is to carry out the Chair’s appraisal as well as provide a sounding board for the Chair and serve as an intermediary for Council members, Executive and stakeholders as necessary. 

The successful candidate will contribute to Council by exercising oversight, ensuring effective corporate governance, and making high-level policy decisions. They will be able to operate strategically and impartially; listen, communicate, and influence effectively; exercise judgment; and inspire confidence and support amongst our stakeholders. 

Remuneration and time commitment

Council members are remunerated in accordance with our member fees policy (£13,962 per annum plus reasonable travel and subsistence expenses).  The member fee includes time for reading and preparation.

The appointed member will be expected to commit approximately 2-3 days per month.  Meetings will usually take place via MS Teams but may on occasion be held at the GOC Offices at Level 29, One Canada Square, London, E14 5AA. There are occasional online catch-up meetings - these are currently scheduled on a Tuesday evening every 6-8 weeks, from 5.30pm – 6.30pm.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual to join us for as a seasonal worker at Shelter! This is a brand-new role as a Order Supervisor in our Sunderland Furniture shop. This is an exciting opportunity to join us at a key time of year helping to raise vital funds throughout our Autumn and Winter period for people who are homeless or badly housed.

About the role

You will be responsible for co-ordinating the day-to-day running of our seasonal fulfilment operation. It will involve working as a team with order pickers motivating them and ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately on time adhering to SLA’s and you will be the first point of contact for the order pickers and any operational issues.

This is a hands-on role and will require strong leadership, attention to detail and keeping things running smoothly in a fast-paced environment, helping to generate vital income through our online shop and supporting our mission to end the housing emergency.

You will work closely with the Retail Product Manager to plan resources, enhance workflows and support overall with operational efficiency. Furthermore, communicating key updates, risks and achievements to the Retail Product Manager or Community Shop Manager as required.

About you

To be successful in the role, you will need to have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume operation. You will be an effective team-player with the ability to motivate and inspire others and resolve any day-to-day issues. Attention to detail is also key to pay attention to detail, quality and accuracy and you will need to be a clear and professional communicator being able to escalate issues appropriately.

Previous experience in an order picker/supervisor role would be desirable but isn’t essential to apply for this position.

We are currently delivering an ambitious five-year growth plan, which will ensure that we can reach as many young people as possible with our programme. As part of this growth we are now looking for a Technology and Insight Coordinator to join the team.

About the Role

The main responsibilities for this role are to maintain and improve Salesforce for the delivery and monitoring of activities, including delivery of the programme, volunteer recruitment, and partnerships management.

The system is optimised to serve the specific needs of the organisation and is intensively used by frontline staff and management on a daily basis. The organisation has an ongoing service agreement with ImpactBox, a Salesforce development company, for more significant development work. The platform is also integrated with Moodle, to allow management and monitoring of online learning for students.

You will have full oversight of the system and will support the team to make ongoing changes to functionality to achieve its goals. This would involve both independently updating the system (making reports, adding/changing fields, creating custom objects, creating and maintaining flows, user management etc.) and/or forwarding requirements to ImpactBox or your line manager if the development requirements are more significant. You will manage and assign user requests to the correct resource, being the first point of contact for all requests, and working cooperatively with staff members to ensure that needs are met.

About You

We are looking for someone with excellent project management skills and experience of:

· Analysing data in Excel and translating it into useful information for different audiences.

· Implementing, configuring, or administering solutions for Salesforce.

· Salesforce administration: Ability to manage and maintain user accounts, profiles, roles, and permissions.

· Reporting and dashboards: Knowledge of how to configure and maintain custom report types, reports, and dashboards

· Customisation and configuration: Ability to configure, build, and maintain custom Salesforce functionality including custom objects, fields, page layouts, process builders, flows, and workflows

· Data cleaning: Good knowledge of Excel to cleanse and analyse data (knowledge of Power Query)

· Integration: Knowledge of Salesforce integrations such as FormAssembly or Zapier (desirable), and how to import and export data into Salesforce using Dataloader, XL Connector, or equivalent

· Stakeholder and project management: Ability to manage projects involving both internal and external stakeholders, maintaining clear lines of communication

Senior Wellbeing Practitioners (SWP) are a new role developed by NHSE as part of CYP-IAPT workforce development, and a new addition to our Rise service.

We are seeking an EMHP-trained Senior Wellbeing Practitioner with:

-3+ years post-qualification experience as an Education Mental Health Practitioner.

-Experience in delivering clinical caseload and clinical skills supervision to low-intensity practitioners (trainee and qualified EMHP & CWP).

-Skills in managing various duties associated with the role, including line management responsibilities, delivering supervision, and holding a small caseload.

-Ability to support the management team and clinical lead with strategic service development.

The Clinical team at Diabetes UK gathers the diabetes management and prevention insights to help inform the organisation. As a valued member of the team, you will develop and share your knowledge and experience internally and externally to support Diabetes UK’s strategy. You will be an expert clinical resource for internal colleagues and external network, support the delivery of fresh, innovative, high-quality information and education resources for people with, and those at risk of, diabetes. You will effectively build and maintain excellent internal relationships with the Together Type 1 team and other teams across the charity to achieve the outputs in line with strategic goals and KPI requirements of the Steve Morgan Foundation (SMF) programme.

Role description:

You will lead a clinical area of diabetes, be an expert resource and maintain a good knowledge in all areas of diabetes care and prevention. You will gather new insights that help to inform Diabetes UK work, information and messaging while supporting other colleagues in developing diabetes knowledge. You will provide expertise within your clinical area on a range of matters including the development of products and resources, improving public understanding of diabetes through local and national media channels, reviewing evidence-based practice, and critically appraising to ensure clinical accuracy. Working with other colleagues, you will deliver wellbeing programmes to young people with type 1 diabetes. You may be required to provide clinical support and advice e.g. administer hypo treatment, advise on carb counting and support attendees who may have special needs.

The ideal candidate:

You will be a registered healthcare professional with clinical experience in diabetes preferably in paediatrics care within the NHS as a dietitian, nurse, or doctor. You will be passionate about using an evidence-based approach to creating resources for people with, and those at risk of, diabetes and healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will have experience of working across multiple teams, and be up to date with current developments, and trends, in diabetes care and prevention. You will be flexible in travelling around the country regularly to deliver wellbeing sessions including overnight stays, during some weekends and school holidays.
