Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.
Location: Based in London office, E1, with the team meeting in person to collaborate once per week. There is also the expectation of travel as required (usually 2-4 times per month) across London (and potentially) the UK to meet with donors. Homeworking options in line with our Crisis Hybrid Working Policy.

About the role
Crisis is in the first year of our new strategy, and philanthropy is critical to achieving our organisational goals — especially the £20m Housing Supply campaign, an ambitious initiative at the heart of our strategy to deliver genuinely affordable homes and end homelessness for good
You would use your proven ability to build strong relationships and secure four- to five-figure gifts to manage a dynamic portfolio of major donors and prospects, applying your understanding of moves management and the major donor solicitation cycle to engage, inspire, and retain support. Confident in working with high-profile individuals, you would use your excellent communication and influencing skills to deliver compelling cases for support, represent Crisis with professionalism, and create meaningful donor experiences.
Proactive and creative in your approach, you would work collaboratively across teams, integrate digital techniques to enhance engagement, and measure success against KPIs and targets. Above all, your work would be driven by a deep commitment to Crisis’ purpose and values—equity, inclusion, and the belief that together we can end homelessness for good.
About you
We are looking for an ambitious and relationship-led fundraiser who is passionate about making a tangible difference and inspired by Crisis’ mission to end homelessness. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of moves management and the major donor solicitation cycle, using these principles to strategically cultivate, solicit, and steward high-value supporters. With a proven track record of securing four- and five-figure gifts, you will be confident in engaging and influencing high-value and high-profile individuals, understanding their motivations and inspiring their confidence in Crisis’ work. You will combine excellent communication and influencing skills with creativity and independence, managing a dynamic portfolio of donors while working collaboratively across teams to deliver outstanding supporter experiences. Highly organised, results-driven, and innovative in your approach, you will be motivated by achieving targets and growing income. We are looking for someone with impressive programme management and change management experience, who can lead through others. Someone who is both attentive to detail, and an expert communicator.
You will lead a team of four experts in project and event management, who support clinicians and specialist advisors to deliver truly impactful programmes, projects and networks, with and for the hospice sector.
You’ll shape our approach to programme management across the team, developing and embedding ways of working that give our work consistency, quality and meaningful results.
You will also spearhead the delivery of two new, vital programmes of work - supporting the wellbeing and professional development of the hospice workforce, and improving access to quality hospice care for people experiencing socio-economic disadvantage.
Perhaps you’re working in the charity and/or healthcare sector already, or you might bring senior programme management experience from other fields.
Either way, you’ll become part of a close, 17-strong Programmes Team at Hospice UK. We work together and alongside external experts, to design and deliver evidence-based programmes, projects and events, which help hospices provide the very best care in their communities.

About the role
The Communications Officer will play a key role in sharing the stories and impact of Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, helping to raise awareness of our work supporting seriously ill children and their families across the UK. Working closely with the PR Associate and Brand & Marketing Manager, this role will deliver creative, high-quality communications across media, digital, and print channels. Lead on the coordination of charity vehicles maintenance and insurance,

Review, Develop and Produce operational policies and procedures to

Act as a Charity Data Protection Officer (DPO) and lead on data collection
and storage in line with current GDPR and Data Protection Regulations.
Lead with producing monthly and quarterly Operations Reports, and
producing any further reports requires for assurance purposes for the
Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees.
Health & Safety
Lead on Health & Safety and risk management, and the annual H&S audit
with the support of our external advisor, ensuring risk assessments are
undertaken and the charity fulfils its legal duties in relation to our
buildings, services, fundraising activity and home-based working.
Ensure all staff and volunteers are trained on H&S and there is
appropriate coverage of Fire Marshalls, First Aiders, MHFA etc. on site, in
outreach services and for our charity events, as appropriate.
Lead on our contingency planning and maintaining our business
continuity plan.
Tech Support
Lead on cyber security training and improvements.
Lead on IT equipment and access for staff, including the onboarding and
off boarding process and management of access to shared folders and
platforms.
Workwear and equipment
Manage stock control and ordering of office and facilities supplies.
Support & Development
Manage the Operations Assistant and support their development.
Lead the Operational Working Group to ensure operational matters are
progressed in a timely and efficient manager, reporting progress to the
Leadership Team.
Lead with the co-ordination of the annual renewals training for H&S, Fire
Marshalls and MHFA, support HR with the induction training of new staff.
Undertake operational improvement projects as directed by the Head of

We are seeking a highly motivated Corporate Engagement Manager to implement and develop our programme on the Corporate Protein Transition in the UK (70%), as well as to support this work internationally (30%). This critical role will focus on accelerating the protein transition by advocating for more ambitious action from supermarkets, foodservice and government.
You will be responsible for cultivating relationships with civil society partners, food companies and policymakers, positioning ProVeg as a leading organisation and trusted partner on healthy, sustainable diets. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the UK’s corporate and civil society landscape around sustainable food systems, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of influencing decision-makers.
Responsibilities
UK (70%)
- In collaboration with ProVeg UK leadership, lead the implementation of the Corporate Protein Transition Programme in the UK, to increase retailer and foodservice companies’ ambitions regarding the protein transition.
- Encourage companies to adopt protein split target-setting and promote best practices for increasing the share of plant-based sales.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with NGOs, major food retailers, foodservice companies, government institutions, and policymakers.
- Monitor and analyse public opinion, consumer trends, and scientific developments related to plant-based diets to inform team strategies.
- Support the monitoring of national legislative developments related to sustainability and food systems; draft policy briefs and advocacy materials to influence decisions on the protein transition.
- Work closely with the UK Communications Manager to develop impactful strategic communication plans to drive public and stakeholder engagement.
- Support with representation of ProVeg at national B2B conferences, food systems roundtables, and other strategic events.
- Organise and facilitate stakeholder engagement initiatives, including roundtables and webinars.
- Identify relevant UK funding opportunities and support the development of funding proposals led by ProVeg International.
International (30%)
- Support the international team in rolling out foodservice strategy as part of the Corporate Protein Transition programme, in collaboration with country leads.
- Support the alignment of a European civil society coalition around a single shared protein diversification ask of major food companies.
- Support the design, procurement, delivery and dissemination of influential research and reports that will support corporate protein diversification at European level.
- Work closely with the International Senior Corporate Engagement Manager to support the implementation of the Corporate Protein Transition programme across ProVeg countries.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in corporate affairs, policy, or advocacy, ideally in the fields of food systems, public health, or sustainability.
