Westway Trust is seeking a highly motivated Caretaker who will be passionate about developing and maintaining high standards of security and presentation of buildings across the 23 acres of estate, to ensure continuity of the use of the buildings and grounds for tenants and community use. This role will be critical to ensuring management of a vibrant, diverse and thriving estate.
You will be an enthusiastic individual with a good level of customer service who will have the ability to deal confidently with tenants and the general public.
Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:
- Responsible for light maintenance and housekeeping duties across the Trust’s buildings and estate.
- Perform simple repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
- Conduct security checks of the Trust’s properties across the estate, involving opening buildings and locking all doors and windows when not in operation.
- Inspecting buildings, including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order.
- For the general upkeep of buildings, sourcing, booking and supervising contractors for minor repairs working with the Facilities Team.
- Work with the Grounds & Gardens team to ensure Westway Trust’s land remains clean and tidy at all times (fly-tipping/bins/parking).
- Liaising with colleagues to assist in the unit base parking operations.
- Monitoring of bin collections and cleaning and re-arranging as required.
- Preparing rooms for meetings and events, including the moving of equipment such as tables and chairs.
- Liaising with Events Team to deliver support to events.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
- Three years of working with a property team or as a caretaker or in a similar role.
- Electrical and plumbing experience and / or qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Painting/decorating experience is desirable but not essential
- Good understanding of technical information, building construction and design.
- Practical ability to use and maintain tools.
- Experience of working in public open spaces.
- Good people management relationships.
- Have good time management, organisational, communication and administrative skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient at managing databases and programmes.
- Experience of handling anti-social behavior matters.

Key objectives and responsibilities
- Be primarily responsible for researching and writing, prioritising, developing and submitting compelling proposals, updates and reports to trust donors.
- Maximise income by building and maintaining relationships with existing portfolio of trust donors through excellent relationship management.
- Use the database (Access Charity CRM) to maintain accurate and detailed records, manage relationships, and coordinate actions and deadlines.
- Research and identify new opportunities, and write and submit high quality, targeted proposals to secure support from new and lapsed funders.
- Prepare written reports on activities, progress and income against objectives.
- Ensure the impact of our work is clear, visible and effectively communicated in our social media, on our website and in our Impact Report.
- Liaise with internal staff to compile project information for funding applications, and build positive, professional relationships internally and externally.
- Gather case studies for use in fundraising communications, applications and reports.
- Undertake administrative duties such as thanking donors and other routine office procedures as required.
- Carry out other tasks as required by the Fundraising Manager and Fundraising Team.

We are recruiting a Peer Involvement Worker to join the Involvement Team and become part of a vibrant and ambitious Lived Experience Workforce. 2. Main duties of the role:
You will use your lived experience, peer support values and principles to support people with lived experience of Trust services to join the Lived Experience Network. You will use this knowledge to support members to become involved in activities that align with their lived experience, and to assist the Involvement Administrative Coordinator in reviewing expressions of interests and selecting members for opportunities.
The Peer Involvement Worker role involves supporting members in their involvement through 1 to 1 check-ins, training, group sessions, and by offering support before, during and after involvement activities. You will play a role in supporting the development and delivery of the Lived Experience Member Training & Support Framework.
The post holder will contact and visit teams and people in services to recruit new members and to develop staff awareness of involvement and coproduction. 1. To work alongside the Involvement Project Lead, the Involvement Administrative Coordinator, two Peer Involvement Coordinators, and the wider Involvement Team.
2. Use peer support values and principles within the context of supporting people to take part in involvement and coproduction activities.
3. Support people with lived experience of trust services through the registration process to enable them to join the Lived Experience Network.

Vocabulous is an innovative online resource to aid targeted and explicit vocabulary teaching in Key Stage 2 and 3 English lessons. We are a small, fast-growing education technology company looking for an innovative, organised and enthusiastic individual to join our team. Our Operations and Engagement Coordinator will be a key support role, responsible for keeping the business running smoothly day-to-day, while also engaging directly with our schools and teachers.
This varied role combines administration, customer communication, social media/marketing support, and basic system management (CRM). Our service, led by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with YMCA DownsLink, supports 2–25 year olds with mild-to-moderate mental health needs. Since 2020, we’ve provided community-based, evidence-based interventions including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), counselling, low-intensity interventions, group treatments, creative therapies, and social prescribing — all tailored to individual needs and age.
In this role, you will provide counselling that is adapted to ensure accessibility for autistic children and young people, as well as those with learning disabilities. This support will be offered to clients aged 4 to 25 who have a formal diagnosis.
