Willowbrook Farm Charity is looking for a dedicated and skilled Volunteer Bid Writer to support our Operational Director in identifying and applying for grant funding. This is a unique opportunity to use your writing and research skills to directly contribute to building inclusive, nature-based educational opportunities for communities across the UK.

You will work closely with the Operational Director to help:

• Draft and edit funding applications
• Interpret and respond to funder criteria
• Summarise key information within character or word limits
• Help shape compelling, values-driven narratives for our projects
• Join short weekly remote check-ins 

What are we looking for?

• 3+ years of experience with writing, copywriting, research or similar qualification.
• Excellent written English (grammar, clarity, tone)

• Experience in bid writing, copywriting, research, or professional writing (or willing to learn how to use your professional writing skills in this area)

Founded in 2013, Release Counselling and Therapy for Women is a charity that has supported the mental health of thousands of women across Sussex.

Over the last decade, we have developed a skilled and experienced therapy team, who offer a range of services to help women address the issues life throws at them.

Our support is unique as everything we do is created and led by qualified counsellors, and we have become best known for our Therapeutic Groups and Wellbeing Days for mums.  We also run a 1:1 counselling service for women, supporting them through those other challenges in life.

We are looking for qualified female counsellors to provide 1-1 counselling online for women to deliver weekly sessions for up to 18 weeks for 50 minutes.

For counsellors offering over 3 client sessions per week, we can arrange a free monthly peer supervision group.

What are we looking for?

Deliver counselling sessions via our online system Cliniko.
Write factual client notes that are stored within Cliniko.
Raise any safeguarding issues with the Clinical Lead.
Skills

Qualified counsellor at a minimum of level 4 from one of the below-accredited organisations

Current DBS check or willing to have one carried out

Fundraisers wanted to support East London Waterworks Park in developing and implementing our fundraising strategy.

East London Waterworks Park is a volunteer-led charity that has won a 2024 New London Architecture award and raised £2m towards buying land from the Department for Education to transform the 14-acre Thames Water Depot on Lea Bridge Road on the border of Waltham Forest and Hackney, into a new biodiverse park with natural swimming ponds, forest schools and community spaces. 

We are looking for fundraisers to contribute to our community-led fundraising strategy, to develop relationships with funders and to write funding applications. 

You would join our fundraising circle, which coordinates our fundraising efforts. It is currently exploring grant opportunities and developing relationships with businesses and other funders. We meet online on Google Meet and volunteers complete agreed tasks remotely.

Willowbrook Farm Charity is looking for a dedicated Volunteer Funds & Partnerships Researcher to help us identify potential grant opportunities and partnerships that align with our mission:
Nurturing Sustainable and Equitable Communities through education, biodiversity, and sustainable farming.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conducting deep online research to identify grant providers, CSR programmes, and funding opportunities that align with our values

• Reading and analysing funder guidelines to assess eligibility, fit, and application requirements

• Creating clear summaries and recommendations based on your findings

• Identifying potential partnerships with organisations, trusts, or foundations that share our ethos

• Meeting with the Director once a week (remotely) to discuss research progress and priorities

About Willowbrook Farm Charity

Based in Oxfordshire, we provide hands-on environmental education, promote sustainable living, and support inclusive access to nature. We work with people from all walks of life—especially those facing barriers to green spaces—and believe in building a fairer, greener future through practical, grassroots action.

Location: Fully flexible / Remote – open to applicants anywhere in the UK

Time Commitment: Approx. 2–4 hours per month (may be more during start-up and registration phase)

About Us

Unseen Expeditions UK is a newly forming Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) supporting mission-led charities and expedition projects across the UK and internationally. Our flagship initiative, The Unseen Mile, is a 4.5-year journey covering 25,000 miles across 37 countries. Through this and future projects, we aim to inspire, raise awareness for important causes, and share unique storytelling and learning experiences from the field.

We are currently recruiting our initial trustee board to help launch and register the charity.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Communications Trustee to join our board and lead the charity’s communication strategy. This trustee will ensure the charity’s mission, projects, and stories are shared effectively with audiences, stakeholders, and partners.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and oversee the charity’s communications strategy

· Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms and materials

· Support engagement with media, partners, and the public

· Advise on digital and social media presence

· Assist with reporting and communication to stakeholders

· Contribute to trustee meetings and governance

· Delegate to volunteers within the Communications & Fundraising committee

· Help guide the charity through its registration and initial set-up

Person Specification & Requirements

· Experience or interest in communications, PR, marketing, or media

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Commitment to the mission and values of Unseen Expeditions and its partnered charities

· Ability to work collaboratively with a small, remote trustee team

· Comfortable working remotely and communicating online with a UK-wide board

· UK-based (required for legal trustee responsibilities)

· 2–4 hours per month commitment (more during start-up if possible)

· Basic tools for communication (email, phone, video calls)
