About the role
The Senior Adviser post is a new role to increase capacity within our small and friendly Advice and Information Team. The Senior Adviser will be responsible for delivering high quality, evidence-based, advice and information by email and phone to Coram BAAF members. Our enquirers are primarily social workers at all levels including senior managers, along with associated professionals in health, legal and other areas of children’s social care.
The role will also support our Outbound Permanence Service which provides specialist advice and resources for local authorities across the UK seeking to place a looked after child with relatives overseas, and also offers training and consultancy. The post holder will, once familiar, have the opportunity to participate in Outbound training delivery.
We envisage this as a 4 day per week role, but are open to considering additional flexibility within the constraints of our core service hours (see full job description).
This role may suit you if you have considerable experience in childcare social work, in one or more of adoption, kinship, or foster care, together with experience in advising fellow professionals. You will have a clear understanding of the key principles involved in providing accurate, evidence-based advice and information.
You may have experience of working for a similar national helpline or advice, though this is not essential. You should have good knowledge of relevant regulations, guidance, minimum standards, and published good practice, along with the ability to research and translate complex information into accurate, clear, evidence-based, and practical advice.
Although we have an extensive database and internal Consultants to draw upon, the ability to present this information as a concise, logical summary tailored to each individual query is essential.

Overall job purpose
The National Office Administrator will support the organisation from our National Office. They will provide key administrative support to central teams, including:

TLC: Talk, Listen, Change is a dynamic, leading relationships charity based in Greater Manchester and we are looking for a Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker (Thriving Families), to deliver tailored perpetrator interventions within a multi-disciplinary team.
The role
This role will work collaboratively within Manchester City Council’s multi-disciplinary Thriving Families Team, to support families where children are open to Child Protection or Child In Need Plans. The Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker will engage directly with adults responsible for causing harm, aiming to increase perpetrator accountability and encourage positive change. Through one-on-one tailored interventions, the goal is to reduce risk to both victims and children, while enhancing the perpetrator's willingness to alter harmful behaviours.  The Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker will work collaboratively with the Thriving Families Team and other agencies, ensuring a multi-agency, whole family approach. Additionally, the worker liaises with victim/survivor services to assess risks, formulate safety plans to secure better outcomes for those impacted by domestic abuse.
About you
You’ll be confident in delivering direct work with those who use harm. This will include completing comprehensive assessments of risk and need to deliver tailored interventions. You’ll have direct experience of working therapeutically with a client group and be confident in addressing challenging and harmful behaviour. You will have experience of safeguarding processes and multi-agency working.
Above all you will have the ability to build positive relationships with difficult to engage client groups, and you’ll bring a positive, solution focus attitude. We’d also love to hear from applicants who are fluent in speaking an additional language.

Main Purpose of Role:

To develop and deliver family support and play sessions to children, young people and their mothers in refuge and the community. To provide this service in Urdu where required so that the service is more accessible to them and we are better able to meet the needs of the family. Background
Action on Disability is the supported employment service partner on a number of supported internships for young people with learning disabilities around West and South London. They are looking to recruit a number of job coaches to support interns and graduates of these programs in their jobs.
The Post
The purpose of the job is to provide coaching, support and guidance to young people with learning disabilities (17+) within their workplaces. You will support interns/graduates to become independent in their roles and provide the necessary coaching, training and encouragement to enable them to succeed. You will work closely with the employer to ensure they are supported and can confidently manage and train their intern/employee once your support has been withdrawn.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To carry out a detailed job analysis of potential jobs / work placements
 - To carry out detailed job matching of service users and jobs
 - To comprehensively learn jobs across different sectors – not restricted to but potentially including – Catering, Customer Service, Administration, IT and Retail
 - To implement training/coaching plans which will enable the candidates to fulfil their roles to employer standards
 - To conduct regular reviews to ensure candidates are progressing within their roles and to identify and meet new support needs
 - To build up natural support within employers and taper off one 1:1 job coaching over time
 - To negotiate and implement disability-related reasonable adjustments on an individual basis

East London Apartments provides 24 hour accommodation based support for up to 31 individuals with complex histories, multiple traumas, complex personality disorder(s) and a varied, disrupted housing history with experience of homelessness as well as individuals who have been diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health conditions who are under the Care Programme Approach (CPA).
East London Apartments implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach which was developed to support people out of homelessness, in particular those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. However, its application is far broader than only homelessness. It considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.
When working with individuals with complex needs, who may display challenging, chaotic behaviours, regularly testing boundaries and have experienced multiple traumas as a result of abuse, neglect, years of street homelessness, or long stays in mental health hospitals, it is integral that the post holder is motivated to support individuals to progress. Ovacome Support Services Officer, reporting to the Programmes Manager.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about supporting those affected by ovarian cancer through a people-centred approach. You must be experienced in providing support services, well-organised and approachable. You will be an important member of our staff team.
Pay scale: £28,500 – £33,000 per year (full time), pro-rata if part time. All our salaries our benchmarked based on the requirements of the Role Description and comparable roles in the charity sector. Salaries are subject to an annual review; we also award an annual cost of living increase.
Hours: 21 hours (part time) to 35 hours (full time) per week, with flexibility around core operational hours. We offer flexible hours to accommodate caring responsibilities. Core hours of work are between 8.30am to 5.30pm. Wednesday is a core working day.
