As our Participation and Social Action Lead you will lead on the participation and social action element of the project, supporting a team of young people to better understand and find solutions to experiences of violence in children’s services via social action projects based on learning from peer research with children and young people with lived experience of children’s services. You will lead on the development of a small team of young people in paid peer research and social action roles, providing line management, training, mentoring and guidance to develop young people's skills, confidence and cultivate a supportive group dynamic.
 
You will lead on identifying additional children and young people as research and social action participants and support the peer research/social action team to develop and undertake activities prioritising safety, trust and wellbeing – taking a lead role on safeguarding. We are looking to recruit HOPELINE247 Advisers to provide individually tailored suicide prevention advice and guidance to young people and those who are concerned for them via our national multi-channel helpline HOPELINE247 and deliver suicide prevention training online and in community settings across the UK.

What you will do:

· Work as part of a team providing suicide prevention support to a range of clients via multichannel communication platforms.

· Work on a 7-day shift system including evening and weekends

The CSA Centre aims to reduce the impact of child sexual abuse through improved prevention and better response, and effective internal and external communication is absolutely central to that mission.

Leading our Communications Team, you will play a key role in developing and delivering the CSA Centre's communication plans over the immediate and longer term, helping us to ensure that our evidence, learning and resources have the widest possible reach into policy and practice at both local and national level.

As a member of the CSA Centre's Senior Management Team, you will work closely with the CSA Centre's multi-agency, multi-disciplinary team, enabling you to draw on expertise from a wide range of different professional backgrounds. As Assistant Director, Communications, you will play a role tackling child sexual abuse alongside the work of our colleagues across practice, research, policy and training. This is important work - the CSA Centre conservatively estimates that one in ten children will experience some form of child sexual abuse before age of 16, and our ambitious programme seeks to improve the knowledge, skills and confidence of professionals (social workers, teachers, social workers, nurses etc.) in identifying and responding to child sexual abuse. We have already made great progress, but there is much more to be done – and we need your leadership to help us do it!

CSA Centre roles are currently funded until 31 March 2026, in line with our current grant funding arrangements. This will be reviewed in late 2025, as future funding for the CSA Centre from 2026/27 onwards is confirmed.

This role is a key member of a small team of the Girlguiding North West England Region Office. Under the leadership of the Executive Manager. This role will contribute to the provision of a range of services to support membership growth. Overall purpose

Reporting to the Director of People, the HR Manager will take responsibility for the operational delivery of Breaking Barriers’ key People and HR activities and initiatives. You will have a strong knowledge of all aspects HR and provide proactive, practical support on day-to-day operations as well as leading strategic HR projects. A keen understanding of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in the workplace and employee wellbeing is an advantage.

This role is essential to ensure we continue to be an effective, inclusive and people-led organisation. Your role will be vital in making sure Breaking Barriers is and continues to be a great place to work for its staff.

You will deliver day to day HR support to team members and managers, work across the organisation to advise on HR policies and good practice, deliver recruitment processes, and deliver and track Learning & Development. You will support on wider strategic initiatives, working with the Director of People to embed new strategies and projects informed by employee feedback.

Our purpose is to create space where mental health comes first. We do this through working in partnership with other agencies and providing services in a trauma-informed way. This role will work collaboratively within Manchester City Council’s multi-disciplinary Thriving Families Team alongside domestic abuse, substance misuse and family help workers to support families where children are open to Child Protection or Child In Need Plans. The aim is to ensure that children, young people and their families are better able to access appropriate support services leading to improved understanding and management of their mental health.

The Mental Health Practitioner will build collaborative and kind relationships where people feel heard and understood, enabling people to access services and navigate routes to support. The role is based within the Council’s Thriving Families team and referrals are received directly from the Thriving Families Team Manager. The Mental Health Practitioner will offer a range of support to families including delivering 1:1 psycho-social support interventions, community advocacy, making onward referrals, communicating with community, primary and secondary health care and assisting people in addressing practical needs.

Overview of the Regional Coordinator role and the team

The Regional Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing the mission of Barnabas Aid by

building and nurturing relationships with churches, Christian organisations, and

individuals. The role aims to raise awareness, prayer, and financial support for the

persecuted church, fostering a network of engaged supporters and expanding the

organisation’s outreach.

Main duties and responsibilities

Strategy Implementation and Reporting:o Develop and execute regional outreach strategies aligned with organisational

goals.

o Monitor and evaluate engagement initiatives, providing regular updates and

reports.

o Maintain accurate records of engagements and donor activities using internal

systems.

Prayer Mobilisation:

o Host regular prayer meetings (virtual or in-person) for the region.

o Disseminate prayer resources and stay updated on current prayer requests.

o Attend daily organisational devotions in-person or online, unless this is not possible

due to an event or meeting.

Awareness Raising:

o Speak at churches, schools, conferences, and community events to share

Barnabas Aid’s mission.

o Collaborate with churches and Christian networks to organise awareness events

and campaigns.

o Distribute resources and materials to inform communities about the persecuted

church and suffering Christians.

o Network widely and to explore potential partnerships.

Income Generation and Donations:
