The South East London Suicide Bereavement Service is a collaboration between South East London Mind, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and Mind in Bexley. The service provides vital emotional and practical support to adults and young people who have lost a loved one to suicide. You will be joining a supportive team who share a passion for working with people during some of the most difficult experiences of their lives.
We are looking for a compassionate, reflective and resilient individual to fill the key role of Suicide Bereavement Support Worker. Your primary responsibilities will be to deliver one-to-one emotional and practical support and co-facilitate occasional bereavement support groups. This role involves building relationships with people from all walks of life and managing your own caseload. You will have ownership over your work, while being supported through regular supervision and reflective practice.
With experience providing emotional support, including to those who have experienced bereavement, you will be an excellent communicator with good assessment and support planning skills. You will also be highly organised and able to manage a busy and varied workload. The ability to adapt your approach to a wide variety of people, ensuring that support is inclusive and sensitive to service users’ cultural and religious backgrounds, is essential. This role involves meeting clients in the community, including carrying out home visits. Although it is possible to fulfil the travel requirements of the role by public transport, this would best suit someone with access to their own mode of transport, such as a car or bicycle.

We are recruiting for a Senior Youth (Support) Worker to join our small, friendly team. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment. They are now seeking two Support Workers, to join their Intensive Support Service (ISS).
As a Support Worker, you will work in the ISS, providing high-quality, person-centred support to residents with a background of rough sleeping and a range of medium to high needs. You will be the principal provider of support for these residents in the ISS and will also work alongside Assistant Support Workers. Do you have experience working with families and children aged 0-13, a good understanding of the needs of vulnerable families and a relevant vocational or academic qualification?
Welcare is recruiting an experienced Family Support Worker to deliver a broad-based preventative support service for families with children up to the age of 13 in partnership with schools, churches, the local authority and other agencies, in the London boroughs of Bromley and Greenwich.
You will be delivering practical and emotional support to enhance the life chances of children who have experienced domestic abuse and social isolation through one-to-one support and group work programmes. General Duties:
1. To promote the programmes of work and manage the external and internal referral process including the assessment of need, risk and safeguarding concerns.
2. Hold a caseload of 4 families delivering “whole family” or targeted interventions.
3. Lead and facilitate community group work programmes including 6 #CapeAbility in Schools programme which aims to build resilience and self-esteem for children in key stage 2.
4. Lead and facilitate groupwork programmes for parents such Strengthening Families Strengthening Communities and Child Overcoming Domestic Abuse.
5. Safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults you work with directly and take appropriate action if escalation is needed.
6. To provide practical and emotional support to families or advocacy and signposting to specialist and universal services where appropriate.
7. Ensuring that the voices and views of children and young people are sought, heard and represented appropriately.
8. Attend designated meetings with multi-agency professionals and act as lead professional where appropriate to support the Team Around the Child/Family or Early Help Assessment (EHA).

THE IMPACT YOU WILL HAVE
As the Peer Support Manager you will be responsible for managing the engagement and support of the community – family, friends, loved ones and colleagues – of people affected when someone goes missing. You will lead the co-produced activities, participation and peer support initiatives with people impacted by a disappearance. Our current offer includes three annual event days, the Missing People Choir and online community spaces.
You will play a key role in facilitating families to contribute and ‘be in the lead’ in influencing the charity’s work, and in representing the needs of families across the charity. You will create new engagement practices and growth in our co-design and co-delivery of community events to build strong, sustained peer connections and a menu of group engagement opportunities.
We know that families often want to support the charity through fundraising and donations, and you will connect families with the fundraising team to help them achieve this.
You will:
• Support existing service delivery through co-designing and co-delivering annual community events, as well as our online community spaces;
• Take a hands approach to events, providing on-the-day management and support;
• Manage trials of new groups, initiatives and consultation which are co-produced or initiated by our community to meet their needs;
• Develop and manage Peer Facilitators through training members of the community to lead and co-facilitate support sessions and events.
• Lead on setting up new services: recruiting and training staff, writing operating procedures and arranging data capture;
• Support the creation and schedule of in person and online regular events, working alongside the Family Support Team.
• Develop a menu of activities and process for new community-led initiatives;
• Manage the Choir Director and volunteers.
ABOUT YOU
You will need to have experience of:
• Facilitating service user voice, peer support, co-production and engagement;
• Line management or managing the activities of staff or volunteers;
• Planning and running events or groups for service users.
• Managing projects from planning to completion, including budget setting;
• Growing an engaged service user community;
• Moderating forums and hosting live online group sessions;
You must also have:
• Be comfortable and skilled at working with people experiencing trauma;
• Working knowledge of issues related to missing such as mental health, trauma, homelessness etc.
• Practical knowledge of and proven ability to reach vulnerable and underserved groups to develop services which meet their needs

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Lead Worker to join our client's floating support team, responsible for providing expert casework and resource provision for service users. This role involves supporting Assured RSI Tenants who may need assistance after graduating from support services, contributing to the implementation of team aims, and maintaining high standards in service delivery within a complex and changing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment & Intervention: Conduct initial assessments to determine clients' needs, providing brief interventions or referring them to TST Support Workers for long-term support.
- Collaboration & Communication: Regularly share information and communicate with TST Service Commissioners, Housing Providers, Adult Social Care teams, and other relevant services.
- Supervision: Oversee the casework of volunteers and new colleagues within the TST, ensuring effective coordination and maintaining company standards.
- Case Management: Carry a caseload of clients, providing ongoing support and direction. Key working clients directly or coordinating support while other team members interact with clients.
- Specialisation: Act as a resource in one or more areas such as mental health, substance misuse, offending, tenancy sustainment, outreach, hostels, resettlement, and learning and employment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Contribute to service effectiveness and deliver high-quality, outcome-focused services.
- Support the coordination of team activities and maintain standards in relation to service users and stakeholders.
- Provide accurate information, reports, and analysis to Lead Managers or Senior Practitioners.
- Regularly review the effectiveness of service delivery, involving service users and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the annual work plan.
- Promote best practices, including person-centred support planning and effective casework management.
- Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and represent the team at external meetings as required.

- Essential: Previous experience in homelessness support.

About this key role
Working as part of a multi-agency team, we will count on you to lead by example, be the day-to-day expert within the team, and be a positive role model to the team of caseworkers. You will ensure, on a day-to-day basis, that all monitoring information and evidence is being recorded and collated correctly, and that you promote inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process and include appropriate agencies in the delivery of the service.

The Senior Community Support Worker will also work flexibly across two other services based at Newbridge – an evening Youth Club and a Saturday Club for children with complex health needs.
