As a Floating Support Worker in our Young Persons Service in Greenwich, you’ll empower young people take charge of their lives and create lasting change. Beyond the Streets is a UK charity with over 20 years’ experience of partnering with women in the sex industry, to see them safe from coercion, violence and abuse. We deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support, provide training, and create resources and reports informed by research, lived experience, and practitioner experience.
Our ‘Direct Work’ is central to the organisation, and we are looking to recruit a new Women’s Support Worker. Taking a woman-centred approach, your role is to provide phone-based holistic support for women with complex needs who want support or to exit the sex industry. We are looking for someone with energy, motivation and experience of working with vulnerable adults; someone who a highly developed sense of self-awareness who can work in a gender and trauma informed way.
This role will be part of a small team of support workers, and a service manager, who deliver a call and email-based case work system. You will have frontline experience of working with individuals who experience multiple disadvantage. This might be in the VAWG sector, domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health or counselling or direct experience of women in the sex industry. You will have a good understanding of working with vulnerable people and be aware of the need and processes around Safeguarding adults and children.

The Heaney Hub Cluster is an intensive supported housing scheme for the most challenging customers in the Kensington & Chelsea. The majority of the customers come with a history of entrenched rough sleeping; often coupled with enduring mental health difficulties. The aim is to offer a home to those who would have difficulty finding accommodation because of their lifestyle choices involving extreme drug and alcohol misuse. The high-support hostel caters for eleven service users with complex needs and is staffed 24-hours a day with the minimum of three staff on duty. The medium support services are staffed from 9am to 9pm where the customers present with varying degrees of mental health issues. The Assessment Centre is staffed 24/7.
The hostels are in close proximity to each other, and staff will be expected to work across the units. Three of the hostels supports both male and female customers and one is males only.
Heaney Hub implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach to supporting people out of homelessness, particularly those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. It also considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.
Support Workers will devise person centred support plans with customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet their needs and goals. This will include sign-posting them to the local drug and alcohol services to address substance misuse issues. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.
The team comprises of Therapist, Move on coordinator, Housing Officer, 16 support workers, 2 Team Leaders, One Project Manager.
The role requires one to work on a shift pattern:7.45am to 3.45pm and 2.00pm to 10pm.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Crawley Foyer team. Main areas of responsibilities are:
Housing:
- Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living
- Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law
- Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team
Coaching and Engagement:
- Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives
- Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community
- Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries
- Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance)
General:
- Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
- Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations
- Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice

About the role
We have received a Homewards Fund grant to provide a Housing Rights Worker to deliver community outreach work targeting families and young people in Bournemouth. We will be working in partnership with The Bourne Academy, a secondary school and sixth form, to engage families who might not otherwise get the help they need, targeting support before crisis point to help prevent homelessness. Where families are already homeless, processes will be in place to reduce the impact on pupils’ learning.
Your role will be to deliver casework support, advice drop-ins and awareness raising sessions for parents, housing rights awareness workshops for Academy staff and tenancy rights and responsibilities advice for sixth form students to equip them to manage their own accommodation once living independently. You will provide practical assistance, advice and advocacy and links with other Shelter services, such as our Legal team and DIY Skills Adviser, to enable households to resettle, prevent homelessness and improve their circumstances. You will also work alongside colleagues at the University of Bournemouth to evaluate the project’s impact.
Our grant from Homewards will allow us to test a new model of working, in partnership with The Bourne Academy. We are grateful for Homewards support and aim for it to make a long term difference to families and young people in West and East Howe.
About you
You will have the ability to engage and work collaboratively with individuals, communities and with all stakeholders, including running group workshops and presentations. You have experience, knowledge of and/or proven ability in housing and homelessness advice and advocacy, with the ability to progress to specialist level knowledge. Essential to the role will be good time management, carrying out casework related interviews, maintaining detailed case records and offering advice and support to clients to inform their decisions. You will be prepared to think creatively about solutions to multi-agency working and be able to take a test and learn approach.

Dorset Hub has been providing housing advice and support services within Dorset since 2000. We have bases in Poole and Weymouth and contracts to deliver Housing First support across the Dorset Council area, along with Legal Aid Advice, including a court desk service at Bournemouth and Weymouth County Courts.
Active in our communities, our Housing Rights Workers will deliver advice sessions within local organisations and offer advocacy to individuals and groups to empower them to resolve their situation. Richmond Carers Centre has the mission to help unpaid adult carers to live a full, active and meaningful life by providing them with advice, information, activities, breaks and emotional support either face to face, by phone or by email to enable them to live well.
As a Support Worker, you will be part of a small, dedicated team and take a lead on providing emotional support to adult carers and a commitment to enhancing their health and wellbeing. Much of your work will involve actively listening to carers, often via the phone support line, providing information, advice and support.
As part of the Adult Carers Support Team, you will also be involved in organising breaks for carers, outreach activities and leisure events, as well as group work to help enhance carers’ health and wellbeing. Main Duties include:

- To encourage and assist carers and those they care for to access Care Needs Assessments and Carers Assessments and to take up services that will enhance their lives
- To complete individual grant applications with carers for respite or if they are experiencing financial hardship due to the cost-of-living crisis
- To work where appropriate with other service providers/agencies to promote the carer agenda or jointly deliver carer support issues
- To be proactive in the registration of carers living or caring for someone within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames
- To keep accurate records of group and individual carer engagement for monitoring and evaluation purposes
- To participate in key events organised by Richmond Carers Centre and other relevant partners to promote services to a wider public

We are searching for a Peer Support Worker to join our mental health services. The role is a peer support worker, who use own lived experience of mental health difficulties to support others on their recovery journey through the facilitation of group based, peer support.
Our peer support and recovery services are a key element of the services we offer, and we are looking for someone who can use their own lived experiences to provide support to help individuals achieve their goals.
Service Delivery
- Facilitate Peer Support groups and ensure outcomes which support individuals
- with mental health and wellbeing needs across Luton in line with Mind BLMK’s agreed peer support model and service’s KPIs and contract requirements.
- To support the Service Manager, when required, by assessing individual’s suitability for attending the peer support service in the line with the organisations Access to Services process.

Do you have experience in working with vulnerable people with complex needs in a Housing, Hostel or Supported Accommodation environment?
We have a new Housing job opportunity where you will be working with a team of Housing professionals with the aim of supporting some of the districts’ most vulnerable adults to move on from temporary accommodation.
You will be managing all temporary and emergency accommodation placements on behalf of Cotswold District Council. The role involves working closely with homeless clients in various emergency accommodation arrangements. The aim is to assist these individuals in accessing affordable housing options and ultimately reducing the time they spend in short-term accommodation.
• You will be based primarily within one of our Hostels working intensively with homeless clients to enable them to access the full range of affordable housing options with the aim of reducing time spent in short term accommodation.
• The role involves travel across our district to visit homelessness households in their temporary accommodation (including Hostels and various B&B’s) with the aim of assisting them with maximising all of the housing options available to them to ensure that they are able to move on from temporary accommodation as soon as possible.
• Create bespoke ‘Tenancy Ready’ plans for each client and ensure that they have access to the appropriate support and resources to achieve this.
• You will also take part in assisting the Temporary Accommodation Supervisor in ensuring that full risk assessments are carried out on each client before being offered a placement in Council managed accommodation.
• Assist with the daily running of the homeless hostel’s, ensure repairs are promptly reported to the Property Service Team and assist with ensuring H&S risk assessments are up to date and adhered to.

You will need to have knowledge of Housing and related legislation, including the Housing Acts, case law, the Homelessness Reduction code of guidance and good practice.
This role requires a strong understanding of professional boundaries and the ability to maintain them — even in emotionally complex situations. This is a rewarding but demanding role — ideal for someone who thrives on helping others in crisis, but who understands the importance of clear boundaries, resilience, and confidentiality.
You will need resilience and adaptability as you will often work with people experiencing stress, crisis, or confrontation, so it is essential you can manage these situations calmly and confidently. Being emotionally resilient and understand how to support others without becoming personally involved or emotionally entangled.
Teamwork is essential for this role to work effectively with colleagues and external agencies.
