We are looking for someone to take a lead role in developing evidence-based policy positions to support CPAG’s influencing and campaigns work. You will have knowledge of political processes and how external organisations can effect change. You will have a track record of producing high quality research and analysis, including policy briefings, on social policy issues. You will have experience of managing a small team and working collaboratively to identify policy issues and develop solutions with colleagues across the organisation, as well as externally.

The postholder will be working in a fast moving, high profile and complex policy environment and will need to balance short term priorities with long term objectives. Current priorities include influencing the implementation of the forthcoming child poverty strategy, gathering and sharing analysis and expertise with the DWP as part of their review of universal credit, and monitoring the development of forthcoming changes to disability benefits.

Records Manager & Archivist

The duties within this unique role will be shared across the main London offices of the Methodist Church in Britain and United Reformed Church. The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified and experienced records and archives management professional, who is confident to work across our different sites and systems. You will be a knowledgeable manager of analogue and digital records and archives.  Some familiarity with Church structures and record keeping would be an advantage.

You will need to be able to advise the staff teams for both Churches on records management strategy and practice and support them in the implementation of electronic records management systems (ERMS). You will also be able to undertake collections management tasks such as appraisal, condition assessments, basic cleaning and re-packaging and cataloguing.

You will need to be able to liaise effectively with the archive services where our collections are deposited, and work with our voluntary heritage committees and archival advisers. You will be encouraged to appoint and manage volunteers to build capacity around this work.

The Methodist Church has records from the early 18th century onwards. Its governance records (estimated at c4m items) are deposited in the John Rylands Research Institute & Library, University of Manchester, and its missionary collections in the SOAS Library, University of London.  Records of the Church at a local level are deposited with local authority archive services.  There are also five ‘community archives’ managed by volunteer editors. 

The United Reformed Church was established in 1972, with its roots in the Presbyterian and Congregational Churches. The search for a new location for the centralised deposit and permanent preservation of URC records is a key objective for this post-holder, along with developing and supporting the management of current administrative records. 

Both organisations maintain offsite record storage and occasional travel to them will be a necessary part of this role.

About this key role

You will take the lead on applications and relationship management of Trusts and Foundations, working with the Trusts and Foundations Officer and Head of Voluntary Fundraising to raise £2m from Trusts and Foundations each year, plus manage campaigns and events to raise £200,000 across Appeals, Individual Giving, and Legacy per year.  You will be expected to manage a Fundraising Assistant to support them with administration tasks for the team, while also managing and refining processes for recordkeeping, a multitude of fundraising systems, through which we receive funds, and work closely with the Finance team to set and review annual budgets.

• Two years’ experience working in a charity fundraising environment
•  Proven track record of winning and/or managing five-figure grants

• A good understanding of fundraising best practice and regulations, including Fundraising Regulator guidelines, GDPR and data protection

ILPA is a charity and professional membership body working to improve immigration, asylum and nationality law. Our training programme is a core part of our work and one of our largest income streams. In 2024/25 we delivered 67 courses and conferences to more than 2,300 practitioners across the UK, supporting lawyers, caseworkers, advisers and organisations working with migrants.

We are recruiting a Training Manager to run this programme end to end. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organisation, confidence with digital platforms and the ability to work with experienced external tutors. Key Responsibilities

Programme planning and development

About the role

This role will provide leadership and management for CCLC particularly focused on the Legal Practice Unit’s legal aid billing operations. Through systematic and efficient management, the post-holder will play a pivotal role in CCLC’s financial and operational sustainability. The role will be accountable for maximising the unit’s legal aid billing in controlled work, certificated work and inter partes costs and will hold responsibility for the unit’s billing systems. It will also be responsible for private fees billing. The post-holder will oversee the smooth running of legal aid billing including through line management of the billing team. The post-holder will work very closely with legal, operations and administrative staff. The role will act as a key point of contact for a range of internal and external stakeholders including Coram’s central finance team who will support the role with grant fund management and overall accounting functions for CCLC. The post-holder will support the Managing Director of Legal Practice and Children’s Rights and department heads in the successful maintenance of our relationship with the Legal Aid Agency. Where appropriate they will be deputising for the Managing Director on legal aid and financial matters.

The role would suit a highly organised and efficient legal, or a finance or billing professional with solid experience of legal practice and a deep understanding of the challenges of legal aid. Whilst candidates with direct experience of legal billing (and more specifically civil legal aid billing) are welcomed, we recognise that this is a highly specialised and niche field. As such, this role could suit a highly experienced solicitor who appreciates the important role developing sustainable businesses plays in ensuring access to justice and who therefore wishes to move into practice and financial management. They will need an aptitude for processing large amounts of data, developing and managing spreadsheets and improving organisational systems. However, they will be well supported through training, an enthusiastic and competent junior billing team, the central finance team and an outsourced legal cashiering company, as well as a friendly and collaborative management team including the Managing Director and the Heads of Education Law, Community Care Law and Immigration and Asylum Law.

This is a largely office-based role in order to fully provide support to the billing team. However, some remote / hybrid working may be possible depending the experience of the candidate after the initial settling in period and there will be flexibility over how the three days will be spread across the week (within working hours). The team are mostly based in the London office and with one billing team member in Colchester so the post holder may require some occasional travel.

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.

Training the Asssistant Coach [10%]

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.

We support at-risk young people who are care experienced, have mental health challenges, or are at risk of exploitation or offending.

Caudwell Youth shapes young people’s futures by providing person-centred support to at risk 11 to 24-year-olds through volunteer-led mentoring for up to 18-months, alongside a targeted intervention programme.

Our mentoring service is designed to ensure every young person feels safe, heard and supported. Each young person gains a trusted adult (a trained volunteer) who meets with them once a week to support them as they take steps towards a more positive future.

ABOUT THE ROLE

To support the Deputy CEO in ensuring the effective delivery and growth of Caudwell Youth’s services.

Democracy Classroom is a non-partisan, UK-wide initiative and a leading voice for the sector, reaching teachers and youth practitioners in 95% of the UK’s parliamentary constituencies. It coordinates the collective voice of organisations committed to democratic education, including through its joint submission to the Department for Education’s Curriculum and Assessment Review and the publication of The Roadmap to Votes at 16, a collaborative vision for the implementation of Votes at 16.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Programme Coordinator, you’ll support the work of our Communications and Networks Team while helping keep our office and digital platforms running seamlessly. 

You will:

Website and digital

• Maintain and update the Democracy Classroom website with resources and programme content.

• Work with colleagues to upload reports, blogs and event details.

Operations

• Oversee day-to-day office administration, including supplies, IT support liaison and record-keeping.

• Support finance processes, including invoices, expenses and financial tracking.

• Maintain key operational systems such as our CRM, database and filing systems.

Events and programmes

• Coordinate logistics for meetings and events (online and in-person), including venues, catering and participant communications.

• Support programme delivery by liaising with facilitators, partners and participants.

Team support

• Provide diary management and scheduling support for senior staff where needed.

• Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes and track actions.

• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and HR processes.

You’ll also have opportunities to contribute to wider organisational projects and learn new skills as our work evolves.

The job is based on a 14 month fixed term contract (including a 6-month probation period), with opportunities for extension. 

The Politics Project is based in central London, with a mixture of in person and remote working. The hours of work are 37.5 hrs per week. Occasional travel to elsewhere in the UK and working unsocial hours in evenings and at weekends may be required.

About the role

As the Professional Standards Manager, you will play a central role in the effective operation of the Complaints and Conduct Process (CCP). You will oversee the day-to-day management of investigations, assessments and adjudications of concerns raised about our registered therapists, ensuring all cases are handled with integrity, fairness and procedural accuracy.

You will ensure service standards are met, maintain robust case management records, and support colleagues through legal complexities, subject access requests and regulatory reporting.

Working closely with the Professional Conduct Committee (PCC), you will provide case updates, contribute to root-cause analysis, support the development of the annual report and attend PCC meetings as an active participant. You will also support adjudication hearings, including acting as presenting officer for interim suspension hearings, and ensure outcomes are communicated clearly to all relevant parties.

This role offers both operational responsibility and strategic impact. You will contribute to regulatory development, policy work, and reaccreditation with the Professional Standards Authority, helping to uphold professional standards and safeguard the public.

You will bring experience of managing complex complaints in a professional body, regulated organisation or similar environment. Skilled at quickly interpreting detailed information, you are able to make sound, evidence-informed decisions while managing multiple priorities with care and structure.

You will be confident communicating with a wide range of people including complainants, registrants, legal professionals, panel members and internal colleagues always demonstrating clarity, empathy and professionalism.

We support survivors of sexual violence across twelve South London boroughs through counselling, advocacy, group work, education, and professional training.

About the Role

You will lead and manage our CYP counselling, play therapy, and trauma-informed services, ensuring high-quality clinical delivery and strategic development. This role includes strategic development of CYP, clinical leadership of all delivery, supervision oversight, safeguarding responsibility, service improvement, and management of CYP budgets and reporting.
 

About You

You will bring:

• A counselling/psychotherapy qualification (accredited or equivalent experience).
• Significant post-qualification experience, including 600+ supervised hours.
• At least 3 years’ clinical work with children and young people affected by sexual violence.
• Strong experience in clinical leadership and team development.
• In-depth safeguarding knowledge and experience working within the violence against women and girls sector.
• Understanding of trauma-informed practice and a commitment to feminist principles.

The Trustee Board provides governance and strategic leadership for the charity. The Pavilion Manager will oversee the day-to-day running of the building and plan and deliver an engaging programme of community events and activities, as well as seeking to develop new activities. The role includes operational management, future planning and ensuring a sustainable income and membership base.
