Job description
What we are looking for from you

As a Carer Services Advisor at Caring Together Charity, you will play a crucial role in providing support to unpaid carers across Norfolk.
Your primary focus will be on offering information, advice, and guidance to carers through various channels, including our dedicated carer advice line, email, live chat, and online platforms. You will serve as the initial point of contact for carers seeking assistance, responding to their enquiries promptly and efficiently to facilitate a smooth transition to appropriate support services.
In addition to providing general support, you will conduct triage-based Carer Assessments and reviews, working closely with carers to identify their specific needs and develop tailored action plans to address them. This may involve exploring options for respite care, accessing funding opportunities, or connecting carers with relevant community resources and services.
You will also collaborate closely with our customer service team, assisting in the management of inbound calls and ensuring accurate documentation of information to prevent delays in service delivery. Your role will require a high level of adaptability and responsiveness to effectively support carers through the various communication channels, ensuring that they receive the assistance they need in a timely manner.

What we can offer you

- A supportive working environment on a hybrid basis, between home and the St Ives office, 1 or 2 days a week (more time in the office will be required during the induction and training period).
- The opportunity to make a positive impact to the lives of unpaid carers across Norfolk.
- Ongoing learning and development
- 25 days annual leave plus eight bank holidays
- The option to buy or sell up to five days annual leave (subject to certain criteria being met).
- Access to a 24/7 GP, EAP service and confidential counselling service
- The opportunity to make a positive impact to the lives of unpaid carers across Norfolk.
- Death in service benefit of three times your annual salary
