About This Job

You will provide effective administrative support to the Office Manager and the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the two charities, the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT UK) and the Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA). You will support across a range of tasks including administration, office management, supporting on our insurance provision as well as meetings and event support.

A cheerful, can-do attitude is essential, as is the ability to work well with a diverse range of staff based in the head office and across the UK. You will be organised, have excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills. You will provide excellent customer service while addressing both internal and external enquiries. Full training will be given to the right candidate.

Our charity

ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Together we want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their cadet experience.

• Reconcile fortnightly travel invoices and monthly credit card statements obtaining approvals and uploading to the accounts system.

• Experience of using a finance system preferably Sage 200, payment system and Microsoft applications, including experience of working in nominal, sales and purchase ledgers and cashbook.

About the Early Years Assistant role 

We are seeking enthusiastic bank staff to provide flexible cover for staff absences at our vibrant 59-place nursery, located in the Coin Street neighbourhood centre on London’s South Bank, just minutes from Waterloo and Blackfriars stations. As part of a dedicated team of educators supported by two experienced senior teachers, you will help ensure the smooth running of the nursery by assisting with mealtimes, activities, general care, and safeguarding the welfare of children. Our nursery is part of a wider Family and Children’s Centre, which offers holiday play schemes, activity camps, and a creche facility to support parents in training and development. Using our unique surroundings for real-life learning, we put each child at the centre of their learning journey. Cover will be provided on an ad hoc basis within our shift rota (8am–6pm). 

This will be a zero-hours contract which means that there are no guaranteed hours per month - you may be requested to work on an ad hoc basis, and sometimes at short notice.

The Role

We’re looking for a proactive, practical and people-focused House Assistant to help keep Future Dreams House running smoothly day to day.

• Open and close the House and carry out daily checks for security, safety, and presentation.
• Keep all spaces – including communal areas, toilets, kitchens and therapy rooms – tidy, clean and well-stocked.
• Regular trips to the supermarket and post office.
• Run errands (e.g. flowers, supplies), manage waste and recycling, and support laundry of towels and linens.
• Set up rooms for workshops and events (furniture, AV equipment, yoga mats, refreshments).
• Support minor maintenance tasks and contractor visits as needed.

Front of House & Visitor Support

• Provide a warm welcome to everyone arriving at Future Dreams House.
• Help visitors sign in, complete forms and find where they need to go.
• Offer refreshments, give House tours and help maintain a calm, supportive environment.
• Answer phone and email enquiries with empathy and efficiency.
• Support with bookings and keep systems and calendars accurate.

Administration & Communications

• Manage the main info@ inbox, responding promptly and professionally.
• Keep room and workshop booking calendars up to date.
• Handle incoming and outgoing post, including packaging, labelling, post office runs and box recycling.
• Respond to information requests and send out materials such as leaflets and visitor information.

Volunteer Support

• Work alongside volunteers, guiding and supporting them through their tasks.
• Help coordinate volunteer activity, especially when the House Manager is away.
• Provide simple, on-the-job training around tasks such as front desk support, room set-up and kitchen duties.

Sustainability

• Act as the sustainability champion for Future Dreams House.

We are seeking someone with great administrative and people skills to join our friendly team (16 hours per week) to support our Administration and Supporter Relations functions while being the welcoming face of Yeldall Manor. As Administration Assistant, you will provide crucial administrative support for the Administration & Supporter Relations Manager and other staff with tasks such as processing and recording residents’ leave applications, preparing thank you letters, assisting in the preparation and despatch of the monthly prayer diary and supporting the wider staff team with other administrative tasks as applicable (copying, laminating, data entry, document creation and editing).

As Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, callers, and residents. You'll warmly welcome guests and help direct enquiries as needed, and handle reception duties with professionalism. This includes staffing the reception desk, accessing calendars, sending emails, and performing other basic administrative tasks to keep the front office running smoothly.

Yeldall Manor is a Christian organisation, and this role requires a committed Christian faith to meet the occupational requirements (in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010). We ask all staff to engage with and support our residents in their recovery journey, offering encouragement in both practical and spiritual matters.

This is a part-time, permanent position (16 hours per week). You will share Reception duties with the existing Administration Assistant/Receptionist, based in the ground floor Main Office of Yeldall Manor, located in a beautiful rural setting. Lunch is provided daily with staff and residents.

Robes is a small but mighty charity tackling homelessness across Southwark and Lambeth. Working with over 600 volunteers, churches and community partners, we deliver life-changing services to vulnerable people on the streets.

In winter, we run emergency night shelters. Year-round, our Wednesday Club offers hot meals, showers and support. We provide up to six months of floating support to help guests secure sustainable accommodation and find employment or training.

About You

• A proven success in corporate and charitable trust fundraising, with a strong understanding of funder and donor expectations and a track record of effectively meeting them.
• Experience managing fundraising pipelines and meeting income targets.
• Strong relationship-building and stewardship skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the confidence to engage and build relationships with stakeholders and partners at the highest level.

The Role

You'll lead fundraising strategy across multiple income streams, focusing on trusts, foundations, corporate partnerships and major donors. You'll manage the full fundraising cycle from research and relationship-building through stewardship.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you’ll execute our new fundraising strategy, support our growth plans, research funding opportunities, write strong grant applications, manage a pipeline of major donor prospects, plan our 20th anniversary campaign, and provide quarterly progress reports.

With three days a week focused on foundation and corporate partnerships work, a full-time role would typically include one day on legacy work and one day on community events.

You bring at least three years' fundraising experience, ideally in a charity setting. You're skilled at grant writing, relationship management and strategic planning. You have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. You're proactive, flexible and genuinely motivated by mission.
