Would you like to help send donated medicines around the world to those who do not have access to live-saving medicines? IHP is recruiting a Logistics Officer to become part of our growing logistics team who coordinate the safe and responsible donation of medical products to where the needs are greatest, so that people don’t suffer needlessly from treatable illnesses.

As a Logistics Officer you will play an integral role in IHP’s work arranging the shipping of donated medicines and medical supplies, for example our essential health packs and antibiotics, ensuring their secure transportation to diaster hit and vulnerable communities such as Sudan and Gaza.

Your responsibilites will include:

• ​Securing cost effective shipping quotes from some of the largest freightforwarders in the UK
• Preparing shipping documentation
• Ensuring shipping files are accurate and kept up to date
• Communicating regularly with our donor companies and receiving NGO partners
• Updating offers on our management system

Who you are:

- You'll have administrative/record keeping experience or demonstable transferable skills
- A dedicated team player who enjoys working well in a small team as well as autonomously
- Adaptable and can meet competing priorities, deadlines and tagets
- Possess strong attention to detail and accuracy and be numerically minded (Intermediate Excel skills desirable)
- IT literate in MS Office applications with experience of working with data and systems
- A natural problem solver, you'll have a good initative and be solutions focused
- Proficient communication skills, verbally and written with an ability to build strong working relationships
- Highly organised multi-tasker, with a personality that works calmly under pressure

Role Objective

To raise awareness and promote Kooth to children and young people (and/or Qwell to adults) by engaging with trusted referrers including schools, colleges, GPs, A&E, pharmacies, community groups, sports clubs and charities. This role involves weekly travel.

Main responsibilities: 

Promote Kooth to young people in schools and colleges

• Maintain an up to date, comprehensive database of all secondary schools and FE/ Sixth Form colleges in contract area(s)
• Maintain an up to date, comprehensive database of all GP surgeries and medical centres in contract area(s)
• All new contacts including local service providers and voluntary organisations to be uploaded into Salesforce
• Prioritise engagement of at least the top 25% of all secondary schools and colleges that are the largest (no. of students) in contract areas
• Prioritise engagement of at least the top 25% of all secondary schools and colleges that are the most deprived (pupil premium)
• Take a strategic approach to diary management and planning outreach to maximise reach and engagement across whole contract area(s)
• Use monthly data to assess and evolve your approach to maximise effectiveness of your local engagement - for all age groups, localities and demographics

Inform and promote Kooth (and Qwell where applicable) to referrers

• Engage education, healthcare & local community professionals to encourage them to refer young people to Kooth (and for Qwell to use for themselves or refer adults) 
• Embed Kooth across contract geographical area and demonstrate engagement with a breadth of different referrers
• Encourage parents/carers to tell their child about Kooth (and that Qwell is available for them where applicable)
• Demonstrate knowledge in the specific reasons why Kooth compliments referrer needs (our key ‘selling’ points) e.g.
  • for education professionals: out of school mental health support, aligns with Ofsted assessment criteria, positive mental well being improves education outcomes, specific support for students around exams
  • for healthcare professionals: reducing the 8am rush at GPs, taking the pressure off other care pathways and mental health waiting lists, NHS cost savings, supporting crisis step down, reduce A&E presentations, providing equity of access with our whole population service 
• Build confidence and skills in presenting to and engaging a professional audience of broad disciplinary backgrounds
• Regular recording (weekly) of all new contacts and activity/ engagement of CYP and professionals on Salesforce
• Host stalls at high footfall public events, including Freshers Fairs, and attend key regional network and partnership meetings to support and promote Kooth (and Qwell where appropriate)
• Organise, present or support national & regional KoothTalks Training webinars to professionals and national webinars to CYP when requested
• Follow up all requests from local referrers who attended a national webinar in a timely manner

Manage the distribution of promotional materials

• Send monthly newsletters, printed promotional materials and/or digital resource packs to all referrer contacts
• Email the correct tailored newsletter to referrer contacts in a timely manner every month
• Manage the ordering and distribution of printed promotional materials within the monthly credits allocate
• Ensure the appropriate digital assets and links to referrer information hubs are included in all external referrer communications

Raise awareness via social media 

• Promote Kooth (and Qwell where applicable) via local social media networks to teachers, parents, healthcare professionals and local organisations
• Regularly post information about Kooth to local networks on LinkedIn, Meta and Twitter
• Quarterly - aim to post a video or story about Kooth on Instagram or TikTok

Summary of Role

This is an exciting new role in our Talking Therapies team providing vital support to people in Manchester with common mental health problems. Working alongside counsellors, you will provide wrap-around social and practical support to adults on our waiting list for or who are engaging in Talking Therapy to enable them to address and overcome barriers impacting on their health and wellbeing. You will provide advice, information and guidance on these issues, make onward referrals to specialist advice organisations where necessary and support engagement with these services. 

You will build and maintain relationships with key referrers, such as GP surgeries, to promote the service and facilitate appropriate referrals.

Once trained, you have the exciting task of leading and facilitating a new course within the service: Living Life to the Full™, a CBT-informed group programme designed to support people to improve low mood, overcome stress, sleep better and build confidence.

We are looking to recruit two additional project officers mainly to help deliver our Live Love Later Life and Healthsmart services whilst providing organisational and administrative support to help these run smoothly.

An exercise qualification and experience of delivering health checks are highly desirable. However, if you do not hold these qualifications you will need to undergo a chair-based exercise qualification and blood pressure training. Applicants need to be willing to undergo this training. They also need to have the confidence and enthusiasm to deliver exercise to groups of older people whilst motivating participants that may have a variety of physical and cognitive challenges. These attributes will be assessed through a task during the interview process.

The primary purpose of this role is to help children and young people take practical steps to become more digitally resilient and be safer online. Our freelance School Engagement Officers introduce the highly impactful Breck’s story into schools and other youth and community spaces across the country and deliver inspiring, educational talks to students, parents and guardians, teachers, and other groups in a ‘whole community’ approach.

Breck Foundation is at the forefront of efforts to safeguard children and young people online. Our organisation was founded in 2014 in response to the tragic loss of Breck Bednar, a 14-year-old boy who was groomed and murdered by someone he met online. Our work aims to prevent this from ever happening again. Our work saves lives. We reach thousands of children and young people in schools and other community settings with Breck's story every year. Our talks and educational materials fill a gap in the current UK curriculum that otherwise leaves children vulnerable to online grooming and exploitation. With 98% of young people now active internet users, current and future generations grow up having to navigate new and evolving digital dangers. We are committed to making the internet a place where children can live, play, and thrive in safety. We are helping young people reclaim the internet. 

Training: All necessary training will be provided, and time spent in training will be compensated.

More specifically, the post holders will:

• Research speaking opportunities and engage/build sustainable relationships with schools and other youth spaces with the aim of securing speaking engagements (known as bookings).

• Work with the Breck Foundation team to set up all new speaking engagements and ensure set communication processes are met and all calendar entries completed.

• Maintain relationships with named contacts within schools and other youth spaces with a view to achieving repeat bookings.

• Where practical, to attend and deliver bookings at different locations using the Foundation’s standardised PowerPoint presentations, with a commitment to educate/raise awareness among young people, staff, parents & carers about the dangers young people face from online grooming through gaming and social media and other online harms. School Engagement Officer (Freelance) Role Description

• Where impractical to deliver bookings secured, to work with the Foundation team to ensure that the booking is assigned appropriately and delivered to a high standard.

• Represent the Foundation in a professional manner and to protect and advance the Foundation’s profile in all engagements, including to work collaboratively with other colleagues to identify new ways to raise awareness of the foundation’s mission and to help expand their scope, reach and geographical coverage and income generation capabilities.

• If delivering bookings, carryout pre- and post-delivery engagements, including sharing pre and post presentation packs with schools and actively seeking feedback, testimonials and even Vox Pops where possible; and to log these on Salesforce.

• Reporting of data to contribute to organisational impact, including using surveys to document statistics for each engagement, for example number of pupils reached by age group.

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of the role is to provide administrative expertise for the Helpline and Board Operations across a wide range of functions to support day-to-day service delivery, including:

• Facilitate elements of HR, Finance, IT, facilities management, and event management.
• Provide administration support for the Board of Trustees and Trustee sub-committees for their quarterly meetings.
• Ensure accurate records of Board meetings are maintained for the organisation.
• Manage communications between board members, executives, and external stakeholders.
• Act as the point of contact for the Charity Commission.
• Spearhead development project and initiatives for the Helpline and Board of Trustees.

Our Business Development department is integral to the success of our organisation and we are looking for an experienced, organised and driven individual to fulfil the role of Head of Business Development. 

We are looking for someone who is comfortable in leading and co-ordinating a team. You will lead and operationally manage the department in our external business development engagement activities as well as our internal, cross-departmental collaboration working towards our ‘Evolve Strategy’.

You will have a clear and demonstrable understanding of configuring, organising and developing business development strategies and an understanding of how an awarding body operates particularly within the education landscape. 

A proactive communication style, strong organisation and interpersonal skills and a decisive nature are key qualities required in this role. You will operate in a flexible and predominantly remote working environment; therefore a demonstrable experience of working using your own initiative alongside a desire to innovate and test new ways of working are essential. 

Your team will be supported by a Business Development Co-ordinator and two Business Development Managers, each focused on retention of business and new business (New Business Development Manager to be recruited). Additionally, a team of Business Development Officers and Centre Engagement Executives also support the team.

Role purpose:

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
