We are seeking a part-time Money Skills Coordinator to help us deliver our ambitious plans to equip more individuals with money skills. The primary purpose of this role is to manage Crosslight’s money skills courses that are attended by the local community as well as our debt advice clients. These are delivered online or in-person in a range of different locations across our network.

The role holder will take ownership of the planning and running of our money skills workshops, including setting them up on our systems. They will also act as a ‘champion’ for the courses, promoting them internally and externally, including through community engagement and outreach in different locations. And they will have the opportunity to deliver some of our workshops, as well as supporting and equipping our volunteers to do so to a high standard. 

For the right candidate, this role is an exciting opportunity to play a part in supporting a wide range of people, through excellent organisational, interpersonal, technical and presentation skills.

• The role is based in our Kensington head office and across a range of locations in South & West London and West Kent, delivering in-person support to our branches running our Money Skills workshops.  The role will also entail some evening working e.g. workshops, forums or team training (TOIL will be available). There may be some opportunities for remote working.

The role

Key responsibilities

Customer support

• The first point of contact for incoming phone calls and the customer service email address
• Answering queries and directing these on to the relevant team members as required; ensuring queries that are passed on are responded to in a timely fashion

Email bulletins

• Compile, proofread and publish key bulletins
• Support the maintenance of accurate contact details in all key contact lists

Website

Ensure website content is accurate and up to date:

• Undertake routine audits of website content with relevant colleagues to ensure it is up to date
• Make updates to website content as required
• Liaise with web design agency if more extensive website changes are required

Meetings, training and events

• Ensure that our online booking system for training courses is accurate and up to date
• Liaise with course leads to confirm training details
• Respond to and resolve queries from attendees and courses leaders
• Book venues for in person training courses, and set up online sessions in Zoom
• Distribute feedback from training courses to course leaders
• Support the organisation and smooth running of conferences, meetings and events. To include front of house duties such as greeting attendees, organising refreshments as required.

Communications

• Support the implementation of our social media strategy including gathering posts from relevant colleagues, proofreading, adding images and hashtags, and overall management of our LinkedIn page and presence.
• Support colleagues with the design, publication and dissemination of Camden Learning communications.

Other

• Liaise with schools, Camden council and other partners to ensure the smooth running of Camden Learning’s services and operations
• Other tasks as required in keeping with the level of the role

Role - Zero Hours Children's Resource Worker

Hours - Variable and inconsistent including evenings and weekends

TACT West Midlands are looking for a children's resource worker to collaborate with them to support foster children and carers within Walsall, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Dudley, Shropshire, Cannock, Coventry. The ideal Children's Resource Worker will already have some experience in engagement and participation with vulnerable children, young people, care experienced children or have similar experience in child-facing settings.  Activities would include completing one-one work with children and young people, taking to activities, completing emotional literacy work. About the Service

The Bexley SASS team provides advocacy and support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse living in Bexley. An exciting opportunity has arisen in this busy team for a Family IDVA. This includes a package of support covering crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning. A key aspect of the role will be to advocate on behalf of service users pursuing remedies through the criminal and civil justice systems.

About the Role

Independent Domestic Abuse Advocates provide a proactive service to survivors of domestic abuse identified as being at high risk of imminent harm.

As a Family IDVA your focus will be supporting survivors with two or more children. You will carry out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and support planning with survivors and advocate on their behalf with external agencies. You look at the children’s needs and signpost them to appropriate services. 

You will support the family (where safe) to remain in their own home with the support of Solace’s Sanctuary Scheme to ensure the risk is reduced and/or negated or you will advocate on their behalf for appropriate safe accommodation.

You will hold a caseload for up to three months and will provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning; engaging them in other services for additional support.

About You

You will need a thorough understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on women and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support and strong casework management skills.

You will have the skills to provide effective crisis intervention, carry out risk assessments, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning. You should have demonstrable experience of working in an IDVA or similar position with this or a similar client group.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and it’s harming too many lives. At Prostate Cancer UK, one of our top priorities is funding research that leads to real change. It’s vital we do our best to make sure this research makes a meaningful difference to men’s lives, and that’s where you come in.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Senior Research Officer to help us deliver our funding schemes and patient and public involvement work.  This role sits in the Research Funding Team and will provide us with additional support during an exciting time while we implement a new grants management system. You’ll work across all our grant funding schemes, ensuring we are following best practise in research funding.

You’ll take responsibility for a small portfolio of active research grants, providing support and guidance to the researchers leading them. You’ll be a main point of contact for grant applicants, supporting them as they apply to us and will be responsible for running peer review. Using your understanding of research funding and administration, you’ll help make sure our funding schemes run smoothly and to time. You’ll work with colleagues to support patient and public involvement in research both in our review process and through our Patient Representative Network who help researchers make sure their work is focussed on the needs of men with prostate cancer.

This role is a fixed term to cover an internal secondment for 12 months.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a Senior Research Officer who is passionate about research and has a desire to develop knowledge of prostate cancer. You’ll hold a biomedical degree (or a degree in a related subject), or with equivalent experience gained in research funding, administration or the wider research sector.

You’ll already have a good grasp of how grant funding works and, ideally, some experience of research administration and peer review. Confidence in interpreting complex scientific information is important, as you’ll be using this knowledge to find the right people to peer review the grant applications that are submitted to our schemes.

You're also an accurate record keeper with a keen eye for detail and excellent time management skills. You're assured and clear in your communication, both written and verbal, and you're able to respond to a wide range of inquiries from researchers while always adhering to data protection and confidentiality best practices.  Experience of using Symplectic’s Grant Tracker would be an advantage but is not essential.

This is a new role within the Programmes Directorate to support the expansion of the Trust’s in-house impact evaluation. The Sutton Trust has an excellent reputation in this field with well-developed theories of change, robust evaluation framework and extensive data and feedback from programme participants. This role will be vital for delivering internal evaluation projects of Sutton Trust programmes, supporting with data collection and management across multiple platforms, contributing to and implementing our impact strategy and developing expertise in data analysis, project management, and data management.

The role will report to the Senior Impact and Evaluation Manager, alongside working with the Systems and Evaluation Manager, and others across the Programmes team.

Main duties

• Working with the team to deliver the Trust’s impact strategy. This includes analysing both qualitative and quantitative data on the Trust’s programmes, creating reports to communicate findings, supporting with the collection and management of impact and engagement data, and supporting on external evaluation projects.

• Working with colleagues across the Programmes and Development teams to support with reporting programme numbers and data requests to funders and other key stakeholders.

• Support the Systems and Evaluation Manager with the innovation and development of our Salesforce CRM platform and other data-gathering platforms to ensure the ongoing collection and maintenance of high-quality data.

• Work across multiple data collection platforms that gather personal data on applicants to programmes and post-programme feedback data, to ensure processes are effective, efficient, and GDPR-compliant.

• Develop expertise in Salesforce, data analysis, and evaluation methodology via project work, proactively seeking development opportunities, by keeping up to date with developments in the sector, and attending external conferences.

• Working with external stakeholders and delivery partners to deliver training and communication about the charity’s impact and data systems.

• Supporting the creation and development of Theories of Change for the Programmes team.

• Other duties as necessary from time to time.

Person Specification

We welcome applications from individuals who have experience in:

• Experience handling and analysing large and complex datasets in Excel or a similar application
• Strong project management skills
• Demonstrates a willingness to learn
• Organised, independent and able to work to deadlines

• High numerical literacy
• High degree of initiative and the ability to take responsibility for projects
• Personable and flexible; able to fit into a small team

Experience in/knowledge of the following areas will help you to stand out, but is not required, and training will be provided for the right candidate:

• Knowledge and experience of the higher education, education, and/or non-profit sectors
• Knowledge and experience of working with Salesforce
• Experience in impact evaluation or reporting within a non-profit or educational context

Terms of Appointment

Acting as a subject matter expert overseeing and readying the successful preparation of dogs, on and offsite, for new homes, our Intake and Rehoming Specialist, Dogs will provide skilled guidance, mentor staff and will contribute to decisions regarding animal welfare and rehoming outcomes.

They will deliver high standards of care, welfare and behaviour support and will develop and implement rehoming strategies for each dog, considering their individual needs and characteristics to swiftly prepare them for appropriate homes.  They will;

• Oversee a designated caseload of dogs both on and offsite, ensuring they receive appropriate care and support from those involved in providing their day-to-day care.
• Provide skilled health and behaviour support to address any challenges and enhance adoptability.
• Conduct thorough welfare assessments to determine suitability for rehoming and identify any necessary interventions.
• Provide regular support and communication to those looking after pets offsite, ensuring they have what they need for optimal health and behaviour outcomes.

This role requires an individual to be approachable and have the desire and ability to motivate, inspire and develop others, showing strong communication skills with a positive outlook. They will also act as a role model, imparting the values and ethos of the charity and will assist in developing staff skills and knowledge to improve their effectiveness in their roles.

Our successful applicant will have significant experience of working in a dog care and welfare environment, ideally in a rehoming centre context.  As our Intake and Rehoming Specialist, you will be required to maintain accurate records and data and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards an understanding of Microsoft Office is required.

This is a full time 6 month fixed term opportunity working 37.5 hours per week to include 1 in 3 weekends.  The starting salary for this position is £26,841 pro rata per annum, depending on experience.  This is complemented by;

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role is a Project Manager at a start-up non-profit looking to create a global movement to support senior professionals in powerful industries to - collectively and anonymously - help drive positive change in their industries.

Your job will be to help recruit, facilitate and mobilise corporate ‘Insiders’ to help them transform their industries to support a more just and regenerative world.

We are looking for someone with skills in relationship building, facilitation, research and project management. We are particularly interested in candidates who have expertise working in public health and health inequalities, or who have a background in diversity, equity and inclusion in a corporate setting.
