We are recruiting an energetic and enthusiastic officer to join our Activity Service to support the older people who attend our range of activities.

We are looking for a positive, dynamic individual; to join our busy and vibrant Activity Service, this is an exciting time to join the team as we develop and expand the service including the way we take bookings and deliver our activities. This role is based at pur office in Mitcham and is the first point contact for people who attend our centre in person or over the phone, so we are looking for someone with exceptional customer service skills and warm and welcoming with good listening skills.

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate who will enjoy working each day with young people and who will thrive in a frontline, community-based, fast-paced and rewarding role. You will be taking up a permanent role as Centre Leader at one of our IntoUniversity centres in London. You will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting  IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery.

A substantial element of this role is delivering our education programme to children and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people, including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support.

Centre Leaders are based at one of our IntoUniversity learning centres and work directly with young people, schools and families on a daily basis. It is therefore not a hybrid role and is based full-time in our centres

Location

We currently have positions at our Bow and East Ham centres.

The role requires intermittent travel in your region (usually within the day). Periodic travel out of the area is also required e.g. to London, this may include occasional overnight stays. 

Salary

£39,100 (inclusive of £2,700 London contribution)

Kempton Steam Museum, operated by Kempton Great Engines Trust, is home to the world’s largest operational triple-expansion steam engine, which supplied water to much of London until 1980. Our project, Kempton: Clean Water for Life – reaching a wider audience, is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we aim to transform Kempton Steam Museum’s engagement with visitors and the local community, while enhancing support for volunteers and care of collections.

The part-time Curatorial Officer will be responsible for the museum’s curatorial activities, with a specific focus on achieving the required collection management standards for Museum Accreditation with the Arts Council by August 2026. This will include developing curatorial policies following Spectrum guidelines. There will also be opportunities to develop interpretive materials to enhance visitor understanding and appreciation of the triple expansion engines and our collections, to foster relationships with local communities and to provide training and support to volunteers on collections management and interpretation. Are you interested in working with a reputed international sustainability organisation to influence policy developments on sustainability globally? ISEAL is hiring a Senior Policy Officer to join our team responsible for public engagement and policy influencing. This is the perfect role for someone who is keen to work in an increasingly dynamic regulatory and policy landscape to strengthen the role of voluntary sustainability tools alongside emerging mandatory measures. 

The core objective of the Policy and Engagement team is to support governments, civil society and other business influencers to understand, identify and use credible sustainability systems.  We do this through direct engagement with relevant government bodies in priority countries, engagement with individual businesses and business platforms and building member awareness and knowledge about relevant policy files and implications of new policies for their schemes and impact. The team focused on the UK, Switzerland, EU-wide policy and key EU members states, as well as on countries in the global south, including Colombia, Indonesia, India and Brazil.

The Senior Policy Officer will help drive engagement with policymakers in key countries in which ISEAL and its partners have a strategic policy interest, with a view to influencing the policy narrative on sustainability and specific policies. The role will identify policy engagement opportunities and provide insightful analysis of policy developments and trends.  In addition, the role will work closely with ISEAL members based in these regions to combine efforts and align on policy influencing.

The ideal candidate will have had exposure to working in an international policy context, either working as part of civic society with governments or as part of a government department. A strong grounding in sustainability issues and related key political and policy debates will be essential, along with some working knowledge of key policy trends in the human rights, climate and sustainability standards space. Prior experience in working in the EU, UK at policy and regulatory landscape or public affairs level will be an advantage. The Senior Officer reports to the Director, Policy and Engagement.

Policy and government engagement

• Support ISEAL´s strategic engagement with identified key policymaker targets and audiences from a policy influencing and role of voluntary tools perspective

We're seeking a Senior Partnerships Officer to help us expand our Coaching and Training offerings. In this dynamic role, you'll be the driving force behind forming new partnerships and strengthening existing networks. You’ll also manage exciting collaborations and think creatively about community sports development and its impact, helping shape opportunities that truly make a difference.

You will identify opportunities by generating leads, attending events, and engaging stakeholders to grow. You’ll have the chance to work across our project portfolio, delivering outcomes for our partners and funders, including Nike and London Sport.

Through line-managing our Workforce Development Officer, you will oversee the development of our talented and inspiring workforce, who are vital to our success.

You will play a key part in generating unrestricted funding to support our core operations and initiatives. Contributing to our “Enrich” strategic strand, a central focus will be fostering trust within the communities we serve, enriching the experiences of disabled people.

The role addresses gaps in delivery to meet the needs of underserved communities, supports the development of coaches by creating paid opportunities and mentorship for disabled coaches, and promotes awareness and attendance at our Community Clubs.

Working closely with the Head of Service Delivery, you’ll help shape the future by developing sustainable pipelines for growth, while playing your part in responding to enquiries as a valued member of our friendly team.

About the opportunity

The Training Officer will have a range of administrative responsibilities relating to Action Tutoring’s tutor training delivery and curriculum resources.

As Training Officer, you will support the Training Team by scheduling sessions in digital systems, organising and checking ID and DBS documents submitted by volunteer tutors, and responding to enquiries to support a smooth tutor journey. The role does not involve delivering training to volunteers

You will also support with managing the version history and corrections of our bespoke tutoring curriculum resources, helping keep our online library of materials accurate and up to date.

Contract and hours: Part-time 0.8FTE (30hours per week, ideally Monday to Thursday) fixed-term contract until 21st August 2026.

Duties and responsibilities

• Process DBS checks for volunteers (training provided). 
• Communicate with volunteers before and after training to guide them through the DBS process and resolve any issues.
• Schedule tutor training events in our CRM, Salesforce, and manage video conferencing set-up in Zoom.
• Support with maintaining and updating tutor training paths on our digital learning management system, 360Learning. 
• Manage the digital storage of our curriculum resources for staff and volunteers, maintaining accurate version control and assisting with corrections and updates.
• Any other ad hoc responsibilities as deemed relevant by the CEO.

Qualification criteria:

We are looking for some of the following attributes, though you might be more experienced in some areas than others:

• Strong organisational skills; experience managing complex digital administrative processes with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience in assisting customers or other stakeholders with queries.
• Previous professional experience handling sensitive personal information appropriately.
• Proficiency in using Google Workspace.
• Evidence of adapting quickly to new software, including using video-conferencing software to set up events.
• Evidence of adapting quickly to using a CRM system.

You will likely be more successful in this role if you have: 

• Experience managing DBS applications, including supporting applicants with inquiries.
• Experience using Salesforce CRM for administration.
• Experience using Zoom to schedule online events.

Church Engagement & Fundraising Advisor

Permanent, Full Time, Hybrid working (You will be required to attend the office for a minimum of 2 days per week with the option to work remotely for the remaining 3 days).

About the role

Reporting in to the Church & Supporter Engagement Lead, the Church Engagement & Fundraising Advisor will lead and inspire a team of Church Engagement & Fundraising Officers, ensuring exceptional stewardship and engagement with churches, Christian Aid groups,
and the wider public to support Christian Aid’s values and goals.

The post-holder will oversee the stewardship of existing churches, re-engage lapsed supporters, and acquire new ones while equipping and motivating supporters to give, act, and pray against global poverty and injustice.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Church Engagement & Fundraising Advisor will include:

• Management of a team of Church Engagement & Fundraising Officers, fostering a collaborative mindset and creating an environment that promotes the exchange of ideas and knowledge.
• Build trusted relationships with churches, groups, and individuals, ensuring strong connections between teams for effective stewardship and seamless information-sharing.
• Actively identify and engage the most supportive churches across England, inspiring them to give, act, and pray with Christian Aid through tailored programmes of activity.
• Development and delivery of impactful plans to engage our existing supporting churches in key appeals and campaigns.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous learning in relation to supporter care, including communications with supporters, with a focus on Christian Aid Week, Christmas, emergency appeals and priority campaigns.
• Recruit and empower volunteers to build capacity and deliver maximum impact, modelling accountability and striving for cost-effective solutions that streamline decision-making and foster consensus.
• Representation at Christian events, conferences and festivals, aimed at raising our profile with church audiences, maintaining support with our existing churches, and growing prospective churches to support Christian Aid and maximise our impact.

The Public Fundraising Administrative Assistant is key to the smooth running of the team. They’ll work closely with every person in the team to provide effective and efficient administrative support and ensure our supporters have an excellent experience of fundraising for us.

The right candidate will have excellent attention to detail and enjoy working through processes. You’ll be able to manage a busy workload which depends on meeting deadlines, and be a team player with excellent communication and people skills.
