The Network Development Manager (Clubs & Compliance) shall lead on the support and management of this dynamic and evolving membership base through the enhancement of the Special Olympics GB delivery model to achieve our purpose of unlocking more opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities. This person will report directly to the Head of Network and work closely alongside other members of the team and key stakeholders, with a specific focus on our Accredited Club and Programme compliance and development and overarching responsibility of maintaining our membership delivery model mechanics and key processes. About the Role

Through our range of programmes, we work to inspire and empower young people, whatever their background to succeed in work and life. A unique opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to manage the delivery of our EDI programmes and have a real impact on the participation of underrepresented groups in our programmes, as well as building on our established position within the skills sector.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing, managing and evaluating senior stakeholder relationships with external networks. With a proven track record of consistently delivering projects and programmes with high-quality results, the successful candidate will have up to date ED&I knowledge and demonstrable experience of raising the profile of an organisation within this setting.  The candidate will be experienced in development of programmes and partnerships to suit delivery of strategic objectives, and be able to project manage internal colleagues to deliver against set KPIs.

The successful candidate will have a passion for working within a charity that focuses on developing young people from all backgrounds, and will have the experience, knowledge and understanding to drive forward EDI in external facing programmes.

Role purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead, develop and deliver WorldSkills UK’s external Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) programmes supported by stakeholder engagement strategies across our network of industry, education and government. The role will ensure that we engage external stakeholders to help deliver our ambition to be a leader, partner and ally in creating positive change for ED&I in the skills sector.

Key tasks and responsibilities

1. Deliver positive action activity for change:

• Support the development and delivery of WorldSkills UK’s external ED&I strategy. Ensure it is fit for purpose, has recognised long term goals and will deliver measurable change, reflecting organisational priorities around increased engagement with ethnic minority groups and females. Provide an overarching framework and help further develop strategic KPIs for our ED&I work, ensuring effective use of data, monitoring progress and performance.
• Work with the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager to develop action plans that will drive our continuous improvement:
  • Support our skills competition development programmes to increase the diversity of young people engaged
  • Support the development of role models to showcase the impact of our work and encourage diversity in key areas of industry, including future priority skill areas
  • Support the development of learning resources that aid engagement with underrepresented groups
  • Support teams to ensure ED&I matters are considered and addressed as key components of all strategies, plans and programmes.

2. Manage the ED&I Advisory Group:

• This is a unique opportunity to work with experienced and prominent senior individuals from across education and industry who are invested in driving the agenda for ED&I.
• Lead the administration and ongoing development of our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Advisory Group.
• Engage the Group to help support, advise and challenge WorldSkills UK on its actions to remove obstacles and barriers faced by young people from under-represented backgrounds in our programmes.
• Report regularly to the Group on progress against KPI’s and facilitate reports for the WorldSkills UK Board.

3. Project Manage the ED&I Heroes Awards

• The Awards is an established flagship event which provides a platform for WorldSkills UK to celebrate success with its partners, amplify best practice and inspire others to drive change across the skills systems in education and business.
• Project manage delivery of the annual Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Heroes Awards, supported by relevant internal teams
  • Establish the nominations process
  • Co-ordinate the judging panel
  • Organise the awards ceremony
  • Manage the support of the awards partners.

4. Manage strategic relationships

• Manage a portfolio of ED&I focused Strategic Partnerships with organisations from across the skills sector, facilitating their support and engagement with our EDI programmes.
• Grow our network of partners to widen our reach, help further drive work in this area and collectively impact on the sector.
• Advise and support the development of the CEO’s international activities on ED&I with WorldSkills International (WSI).

5. Raise the profile of WorldSkills UK’s ED&I work:

• Work with teams across the organisation to support our Mission to ignite a national and global movement to help more young people, regardless of their background, get the best possible start in work and life.
• Support the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager and Marketing and Communications Team to showcase the impact of our programmes:
  • Help to externally profile and articulate the value and impact of our activities using the channels and tools available
  • Seek opportunities to advocate for our work through stakeholder engagement and networking
  • Support the Corporate Partnerships team to identify and secure commercial income related to our ED&I initiatives.
  • Work across the organisation to build on existing external relationships and develop new strategic partnerships that reinforce our position as a skills sector leader.

6. Internal ED&I Liaison:

• Whilst not responsible for WorldSkills UK’s internal ED&I activities and agenda it is anticipated that the post holder will spend up to 10% of their time supporting and working with the Corporate Affairs team on internal ED&I matters, with the remaining 90% spent on external work.
• It is not essential that the postholder has extensive experience in this area.

7. General

• Produce requirement specifications in line with WorldSkills UK’s procurement strategies for all outsourced activity.

This role is office based (as above) but with flexible hybrid working. It is expected the postholder will attend the office at least once or twice a week.

Full time working hours are a minimum of 35 hours per week, normal working hours are 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday although we pride ourselves on having a flexible approach to our working practices and service delivery and are happy to discuss flexible working options, including part time, with suitable candidates.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

In the past five years of running our Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program, we have found that the best predictor of which incubated charities will end up causing the highest impact is the quality of the co-founding team. As we scale up, one of our biggest bottlenecks is identifying highly talented, value-aligned people out of the thousands of candidates from all over the world who apply to our programs. The difference in outcomes between a bad and a good hire can be huge, but this variation is even more extreme when it comes to co-founders. The initial staff of an organization set the pace, tone, and culture for the long-term. We estimate the impact of each average alumna/alumnus of our Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program to be equivalent to donating $200,000-350,000 USD / year to effective charities. Finding 20-30 of these gems each year is difficult but is incredibly impactful. As such, the Recruitment Manager is one of the most important roles we are hiring for. 

The Recruitment Manager will focus on:

• Vetting multi-stage application processes (application forms, test tasks, interviews and psychometrics)

• Improving and adjusting our processes (e.g. coming up with predictive interview questions for new job roles; improving existing questions and tasks on the basis of data collected)

• Developing and formalizing a deep understanding of what traits, motivations, and personality types will be successful in different kinds of career paths and roles

• (if interested and a strong fit) Working with our outreach team to develop and execute marketing strategies that speak to the right people, inform them about our supported career paths, and help them apply

• (if interested and a strong fit) Managing or co-managing the recruitment team

The kinds of tasks involved in this look something like this:

• Evaluating hundreds of application forms and test tasks to figure out which are the most promising, using a wide range of information, formal and informal clues, and heuristics

• Evaluating and conducting candidate interviews to help identify and select the most promising candidates to join our programs

• Formalizing informal hiring heuristics into rubrics and learning algorithms (no programming required)

• Project managing each application round to ensure each candidate gets useful, timely, and relevant test tasks and information on next steps

• Analyzing historical data to pull out findings for future rounds (here’s an older public example)

• Conducting interviews with successful applicants to create feedback loops for improving our processes

• Automating aspects of the process to increase scalability and reduce staff time

• Conducting interviews with experts in vetting and hiring to determine cross-applicable lessons that we can apply

• Building models and character profiles of ideal candidates and talking to alumni from our programs to refine and improve these

• Running analysis and back correlations on historically successful founders to identify traits that may define the most promising applicants

The Learning Specialist contributes to the development and delivery of training materials and resources within the organisation. JOB PURPOSE 

UK for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency's national charity partner, is looking for an ambitious and proactive Corporate Partnerships Manager to join the Private Partnerships & Philanthropy team. 

In this exciting role, you will lead on the management of a number of our existing and new relationships with companies to create and grow mutually beneficial, multi-year partnerships, playing a key part in the success of our annual fundraising programme. You will enjoy developing strong relationships and have excellent communication and problem- solving skills. You will be a confident communicator with a track record of meeting and exceeding financial targets. 

You will line manage the PPH Coordinator, with responsibility for managing performance and supporting their development.

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Marketing the Data & Systems Project Coordinator will be responsible for driving change, implementing new data processes and providing new insights at Enable.

Main Responsibilities

You will work with colleagues at all levels to champion the use of learning gathered on impact across the charity and to enable the wide sharing of this learning.
As a Programme Manager (Impact Measurement) you will be able to work strategically and operationally to embed and introduce tools and methods for collecting, managing, analysing and reporting impact data.

You will also confidently be able to create written and verbal impact-focused reports demonstrating the impact of our strategic delivery both for senior leaders and for colleagues.

Ideal Candidate

As Programme Manager (Impact Measurement) you will manage a key organisational change programme to embed our impact measurement framework to supports the delivery of our strategy. You will develop an in-depth knowledge of our charity's strategic ambition and the opportunities to measure and evaluate the delivery of our work so that we continue to learn and improve as a charity, using this information to demonstrate our impact internally and externally, showing the difference our work is making to the lives of people with or at risk of diabetes You are highly IT literate and experienced at using reporting and evaluation tools and frameworks.

Based in the Business Development Directorate, this role will enable Start Network to collaborate with Hub representatives to set up successful resource mobilisation functions in each Hub country and mobilise new funds directly for them. This is a critical role for our strategy and will require someone with experience in setting up ‘income streams’ from scratch (including setting resource mobilisation strategies and fund-raising protocols). This role requires someone with ample experience in coordinating teams across countries and securing new income from donors. Most Hubs are new entities (small humanitarian networks), therefore the support required will also include capacity-building, donor-mapping, direct engagement on behalf of the Hubs with the donors, and other activities, as defined and directed by the Director. Provision of support to the Hubs will largely be done through remote coordination, facilitation, and engagement. The business
development directorate is mainly based in London but there will be flexibility with regards to where this role sits. This is a new role and will require adaptability, a positive attitude, and a proactive character. It is also important to note that this role might be travelling 6 weeks per year (10 days at a time) to various hub countries.

The Programme Manager role will report to the Senior Programme Manager and sit within the Programmes Team.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for project managing a number of our services. You will have a clear focus of delivering high quality programmes that are run smoothly, efficiently, within budget, and achieve the desired outcomes and objectives for both the partners and the young people.

The Network Systems Manager maintains an overview of all DCS (Data Collection System) related activity and is responsible for ensuring that the development, maintenance and technical changes are conducted succinctly and delivered successfully in line with strategic goals across the entire organisation. 

Role responsibilities 

• To design and deliver a roadmap for the development of the Data Collection System, in line with the Trussell Trust’s strategic goals, and in collaboration with key stakeholders. 

• To manage the acquisition of DCS projects/changes, assessing value to different user groups using qualitative and quantitative analytical data to plan future support and development requirements of the system 

• Project management of large scale changes to the DCS and related systems, including the creation of project documentation, providing a consistent and accessible monitoring process for internal stakeholders. 

• To maintain and provide expert knowledge of the DCS across the organisation monitoring and reporting on key changes and development, user performance, stakeholder feedback and data requests.

• To work closely with the Network Services Manager in; providing a point of escalation for user and team technical support; offering support to project leads in the communicating of changes, development, testing and implementation of DCS-related activity. 

• Manage the day to day relationship with the system developers (Bit Zesty) to ensure support hours are appropriately used to maintain, update and fix bugs, and that all work (including projects) is delivered within budget and in a timely manner.
