Endometriosis impacts the physical and mental health of 10% of women and those assigned female at birth, from puberty to menopause - although the impact can be felt for life. Yet it’s a disease most people have never heard of, do not understand and that has no cure. It costs the UK economy around £8.2 billion every year in healthcare costs, loss of work and treatments and yet it isn’t recognised by most employers. As the UK’s leading charity for all those affected by endometriosis, we’re determined to change this and ensure that everyone gets prompt diagnosis and the best treatment and support.

We’ve big ambitions in our strategy, focused on better supporting those with endometriosis, driving down diagnosis times, campaigning for improved treatments and access to services, raising awareness, and leveraging more money into research. This will be a busy, varied and important role working closely with the Head of Campaigns and Communications to identify opportunities to influence external policy to better support and represent the needs of those with endometriosis. You will be working as part of a passionate team with a strong commitment to achieving change to help those with living with endometriosis. You’ll have a sound knowledge of the UK political landscape and how to influence it and will play an important role in developing our campaigns. 2. Proven experience in a generalist HR role, in particular recruitment and employee relations.

5. Knowledge of recruitment techniques and good practices.

This is a part time position working four days per week (30 hours), Monday to Friday.

Within this role, you can be based at home or in an Emmaus community. Wherever you are based, maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is vitally important.  The current patch for this role is Emmaus Brighton & Hove, Emmaus Greenwich and Emmaus Dover. Regular travel to these three communities will be required (usually one community visit per week). Travel to team meetings, usually held in Birmingham, and other locations will also be required on occasion.

Who are we looking for?

We require someone with a strong skillset and at least two years’ experience working in a busy communications, public relations or marketing role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.

Creativity and passion are a must. You will have a broad range of communications skills, love seeing your creative ideas come to life and keen to develop your skillset within a national homelessness charity.

About the Role:
As an experienced and innovative Marketing Manager, you will have the chance to challenge and develop key channels to drive continued success in attracting new supporters to WaterAid.

The role is to project lead the day-to-day development, management and delivery of a number of fundraising campaigns across channels such as DRTV, inserts and door drops. Overseeing the creative and delivery of campaigns from initial brief through to post campaign analysis, contributing to and ensuring the Supporter Activation team meets agreed objectives and income targets.

Key to this role will be to lead on the management and development of the DRTV programme (from creative to planning) which plays a significant part in the activation programme.

You'll also:

• Lead on the management, delivery and development of all aspects of the DRTV programme. Taking particular responsibility for creative development and innovation, media planning and campaign analysis.
• Support the Senior Marketing Manager (Supporter Activation) in the strategy and innovation of the DRTV programme to drive growth in this pivotal channel.
• Support the Senior Marketing Manager and working closely with the Marketing Officers to manage, deliver and develop the other channels in the extensive activation portfolio such as inserts, door drop and integrated media and creative campaigns, taking particular responsibility for media planning, buying and analysis.
• Support the Senior Marketing Manager in the management, delivery and development of campaigns within the Brand Consideration programme. Including collaboration with a wide number of internal teams and external colleagues to create integrated creative campaigns utilising multiple channels.
• Lead media and creative agency relationships at a strategic level; including taking a lead on pitching and appointing new agencies, including contract management. Act as first point of contact for external partners where required, taking responsibility for resolving queries, trafficking all stages of projects, escalation of potential problems and performance reviews.
• Lead on creative development; contribute to the overall strategy for the Individual Giving & Engagement Team, make decisions on creative strategy, approach, copy and design, working closely with Communications Team to accurately reflect the brand.
• Develop, plan and manage complex income and expenditure budgets for a portfolio of activities, some with six figure budgets and targets; including using complex reforecasting models to provide projections for income and expenditure.
• Ensure that all communications are carried out within FRSB, DPA and Charity Commission guidelines.

About You:

• Substantial proven experience of working in a similar fundraising and/or customer marketing role managing an expenditure budget to deliver campaigns using a wide range of media.
• Proven experience of managing DRTV campaigns, working closely with media, creative and production agencies.
• A track record of developing and implementing successful direct marketing strategies working in a complex direct marketing role / team. Including experience of strategic planning and executing multi-faceted activation campaigns for both below and above the line channels.
• Proven experience of managing large volume media campaigns including media planning, buying and analysis.
• Significant project management experience including identifying new fundraising opportunities and developing a framework for implementation.
• Experience of developing and managing complex budgets, using relevant monitoring and evaluating tools.
• Ability to develop, monitor and adapt DM strategies for the implementation of fundraising channels; including advising on the direction of the overarching direct marketing programme.
• Experience of successfully developing high level relationships with senior staff and stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Experience of leading a team and line management of one or more team members.
• Excellent written and numeracy skills with attention to detail and the ability to use spreadsheets to formulate and analyse complex budgets and make informed decisions.
• Excellent negotiation skills, and communication skills including experience of presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
• A good understanding of fundraising principles.

Hillside Clubhouse is recruiting for a mental health employment specialist to join our dynamic Camden team supporting people with mental health conditions to gain and retain employment.  The role is working within the nationally recognised IPS (Individual Placement and Support) model within an NHS secondary care mental health team based in the heart of Camden.

Who we are: 

Hillside Clubhouse is a co-produced mental health employment support charity working across Camden and Islington. We support people with mental health conditions into training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. People can access our services via our Clubhouse, where they can share their skills and expertise with others and support the running of the charity.  Alternatively, they can receive support out in the community from one of our employment specialists based within primary and secondary care.

The Role: 

The role is within our IPS Service and will be based within a Camden NHS secondary care team. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you’ll play an important role in supporting people with lived mental health experience on their recovery journey by supporting them back into paid employment. This is an opportunity to offer ongoing support, to motivate and provide people with hope, while developing the tools and skills required to recover, ultimately transforming their lives.

A variety of skills are needed in this post including but not limited to -  a strong ability to develop empathy and rapport with clients; a determined approach to seeking out job opportunities; a person centric-approach to working with people; strong communications skills to motivate clients; strong administrative capabilities and an attention to detail engage with prospective employers via business development and face-to-face meetings, and to be able to challenge some perceptions around mental health. 

The postholder will be directly employed by Hillside Clubhouse but work under an Honorary Contract from Camden and Islington Foundation Trust.  They will be managed directly by the IPS Operations Manager but work as team member within the clinical team. The role is dynamic and involves being integrated in a clinical team, working within the community, and we operate a flexible working policy where working from home is also permitted up to two days per week.

Overall aim: 

To enable people with mental health issues to gain and sustain competitive employment by working within the evidence based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.

Primary Duties: 

• Manage a caseload of up to twenty clients and work within and apply the 8 principles of IPS in all aspects of role. 
• To work with and enable clients to find work using a mix of conventional approaches and employer engagement. 
• To generate ongoing referrals from the clinical team and to manage those effectively. 
• To engage directly and collaboratively with the clinical team while maintaining the existing multi-disciplinary approach to assisting clients seeking work. 
• To report and meet regularly with clinical team service managers and the IPS Operations manager, and to participate in both casework and clinical supervision from IPS Operations and clinical team services managers. 
• To be an active member of both the clinical and Hillside teams 
• To be responsible for own management of administrative duties tied to both Hillside Clubhouse and clinical team and adhering to existing Hillside and NHS protocols. 
• Source job opportunities specific to client needs from a range of sources including those advertised via current and conventional means, as well as through contact with local and Pan London employers. 
• To build up a network of employers to secure available and future vacancies. 
• To maintain existing and seek out new relationships with a range of external agencies of use to the post. 
• To provide ongoing support to both client and employers (where appropriate) when starting work and until such time as the client makes the decision to end the support provided. 
• To work with clients to collaboratively manage job searching activities and engagement with the service. 
• To manage and meet all KPIs, statistics and documentation as required, including but not limited to: referrals, first meetings, job outcomes, job sustainments of 6, 13 and 26 weeks, and work retention. 
• To provide guidance on the impact and/or the potential change to benefits when clients start work. 
• To work and manage time effectively in both community/external settings, and at clinical team.

• Secondary Duties: 
• To work out of hours as and when required, working in line with Hillside Clubhouse risk management procedures. 
• Undertake training when required and participate in ongoing learning and development. 
• To maintain professional boundaries with all internal and external stake holders including clients, and staff members of both Hillside and the clinical team. 
• To engage and participate in external IPS support services, training, and events. 
• To undertake additional tasks and duties as and when required, and to work outside of normal office hours when necessary. 

Kingston Voluntary Action (KVA) is a long-established and well-respected infrastructure support organisation for the voluntary and community sector in Kingston. We have grown in the last few years in the number and variety of projects as well as the number of team members. KVA is in its second year of delivering the Infrastructure Support Contract awarded by the Royal Borough of Kingston.

Together with our VCSE Sector Development Manager, internal team and external partners, you will ensure that KVA offers an ambitious and innovative capacity building programme for Kingston community and voluntary sector organisations.

We are looking for an experienced capacity building officer with a wide skillset and a track record of achieving outcomes for local communities by undertaking hands-on work with VCSE organisations of all sizes and structures, including, but not limited to support with fundraising, ability to better demonstrate their impact, develop policies and procedures and set up and run a charity or community organisation.

You will have a problem-solving approach, with patience, good listening skills, but also ability to be a critical friend when needed.
