What the job involves

As our Senior People Services Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day heartbeat of People Services and make sure every colleague has a smooth, supportive and high-quality experience throughout their time with us.

You’ll be the person who keeps things running brilliantly: setting the pace for operational delivery, supporting managers with confidence, and making sure our processes are simple, clear and compliant – ensuring delivery through an experienced and high-performing People Services Team. You’ll work closely with People & Culture, Finance, IT and leaders across the charity to drive a consistent, joined up service that helps people do their best work.

This is a hands-on leadership role partnering with People & Culture leadership and peers to drive the People Strategy and foster a high-performance, inclusive culture. You’ll shape how we deliver People Services, spotting ways to improve, simplify and modernise what we do. You’ll lead a team covering critical activity relating to all stages of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding, contracts, HR systems and data, payroll oversight, policies and employee relations, and you’ll be the operational authority and escalation point for complex or high-risk issues.

Some of the work you and your team will be getting involved in includes:

• Leading and developing the People Services & Payroll team so they have clarity, support and space to thrive.
• Making sure onboarding, contracts, and offboarding all run smoothly and consistently, with a great colleague experience.
• Overseeing HR systems and data to maintain accuracy, insight and compliance.
• Working with People Experience & Communications colleagues to refresh and embed people policies in a way that feels simple and supportive and encourages co-creation.
• Coaching managers on inclusive, confident people leadership and helping them handle tricky issues with care and clarity.
• Taking the lead on complex employee relations cases, change processes or emerging risks, and ensuring we handle things fairly and consistently.
• Driving continuous improvement - whether that’s simplifying a workflow, introducing a digital tool, or building capability across the organisation.
• Providing operational insight to support strategy, planning, resourcing and decision-making at leadership level.

This is an influential role with real scope to strengthen how our People Services function supports the organisation every day.

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone who brings a blend of operational confidence, sound judgement, people leadership and a passion for improving how things work and who is comfortable and able to thrive in a fast-paced and reactive enabling function.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Strong HR operations experience at a senior level, with CIPD Level 5 or equivalent knowledge.
• Expertise in employee relations, including handling complex or sensitive cases with fairness, clarity and confidence.
• Experience overseeing payroll operations and HR systems, with a practical understanding of data accuracy, GDPR and people metrics.
• A natural adaptability to changing priorities and an ability to build trust and influence across all levels - someone who can coach managers, support colleagues and work in partnership with senior leaders.
• A continuous improvement mindset: you enjoy simplifying processes, solving problems and creating clarity – and you naturally collaborate and take the team with you on journeys of change rather than imposing a singular view.
• Experience leading or developing a team, with a supportive, inclusive and empowering approach.
• Strong organisational skills - you can juggle priorities, manage workflow pressures and keep the team focused on what matters most.

How and where we work

Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.

Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.

About the Role

This business-critical Programme Coordinator role ensures the smooth, efficient and high-quality delivery of The Talent Foundry's workshops and programmes across the UK.

Key result areas:

Fundraising

· To set the strategic direction for income generation at Age UK Merton, developing and delivering a sustainable portfolio of future-focused fundraising that grows income and optimises the supporter journey over the long term.

· To lead the diversification of income, reducing reliance on any single partner or

activity and building a resilient, balanced fundraising portfolio that represent a high return on investment and grows our supporter base. Strategy and Partnerships

· To set, manage and monitor budgets, ensuring clear targets, KPIs and accountability across teams.

· To ensure robust management of restricted and contractual funding, setting financial controls, to comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

· To act as an ambassador and spokesperson for Age UK Merton, representing with

· To build and maintain strategic partnerships, networks and relationships to strengthen visibility, influence and community engagement.

Governance, Compliance & Risk

· Ensure compliance with the Charity Commission, Fundraising Regulator, the Gambling Commission, advertising standards and GDPR/data-protection legislation.

· To contribute to strong risk-management frameworks, ensuring early identification, mitigation, and appropriate investigation of risks.

· Oversee policy development as applicable for the department.

People

· To grow and develop a high-performing team, and to make the case for further resource investment where appropriate, in order to recruit and develop a multi-disciplinary team covering income generation, marketing, communications and engagement, with a view to develop a culture of creativity and professionalism across the entire team.

· To ensure effective performance management, with regular 1:1s, appraisal, individual and team development and succession planning.

· To embed, review and optimise new team structures and systems to maximise efficiency, impact and income.

· To ensure volunteers are effectively integrated, supported and aligned to organisational priorities.

General

· To establish good working relationships with all relevant stakeholders and liaise as required

Volunteering and Foster Caring Manager is a new role at Mayhew, reflective of the importance of volunteering and foster caring in our ability to deliver our onward strategy and direction. This is a highly visible and important role for Mayhew. The postholder will be working across all teams with staff and volunteers, supporters, partners and members of the public.

This role requires an effective leader and manager, with practical subject matter expertise in volunteering good practice, strong organisational skills, and a drive, rooted in passion for both animal welfare and volunteering, to enable Mayhew to reach many more dogs and cats and pet owners who need us by cultivating a thriving, engaged and diverse volunteer base.

Staff and volunteers at Mayhew, particularly in animal facing and public facing roles have duties that can be physically and emotionally demanding, sometimes interfacing with dogs and cats and pet owners who are in distress and facing heart-breaking situations. As Community Connector you will play a vital role in fostering meaningful relationships between Raw Material and its diverse local communities, and stakeholders across the education, arts, youth work, community, and social and healthcare sectors.

We’re looking for a Community Coordinator to take ownership of a group of WeSwim clubs, playing a central role in building and supporting a thriving, connected community around them. 

This is a role for someone who is excellent at relationship building and enjoys being at the heart of things. You’ll work closely with disabled swimmers, volunteers and our pool partners to create a welcoming, inclusive and seamless experience from first contact through to regular participation. 

You’ll coordinate sessions, support swimmers into the water, build strong local relationships, and help clubs grow through outreach and community engagement. 

Alongside keeping things running smoothly, you’ll be out in the community, getting to know people, spotting opportunities, and supporting volunteers and swimmers to take part in ways that feel meaningful to them. 

You’ll enjoy juggling multiple priorities, achieving targets, and supporting the growth of a  small, mission-driven organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Club operations & coordination: Coordinate weekly swim sessions across your allocated clubs, making sure sessions run smoothly. Act as the main point of contact for swimmers, volunteers, committees and pool partners, building strong relationships and resolving day-to-day issues. Regularly visit clubs to get to know volunteers and swimmers, understand how sessions are running, and identify any issues or opportunities.

• Swimmer journey & membership: Manage the swimmer journey from application through to first session and ongoing participation. Monitor attendance and engagement and meet recruitment and attendance targets ensuring a balanced flow of swimmers.

• Swimmer recruitment & outreach: Build relationships with local organisations to raise awareness of WeSwim and support referrals. Deliver outreach activity to maintain a steady flow of new swimmers into clubs and waiting lists. Support the setup and launch of new WeSwim clubs by building local awareness and supporting swimmer recruitment, working closely with the wider team.

• Volunteer engagement & club presence: Build strong relationships with volunteers, ensuring they feel welcomed, valued and supported. Support volunteer with regular communications and work closely with the wider team to improve volunteer experience.

• Systems & administration: Maintain accurate club records including membership data and attendance logs. Monitor attendance and impact data to support reporting. Use and improve systems and processes to support efficient coordination and growth.

• Community participation & engagement: Support volunteers, swimmers and supporters to organise and lead their own activities and initiatives (e.g. events, challenges, social activities). Create simple accessible resources that support people to take part and contribute. Be the main point of contact for people who want to get more involved in WeSwim.

Skills & Experience:

Essential

• Confidence using digital tools such as Google Workspace and messaging platforms.

The Social Media and Digital Content Manager is central to shaping and delivering the Young Vic's social media and digital content strategies. This role will take ownership of the Young Vic’s social media channels, promoting the full scope of programming and projects and bringing the Young Vic’s brand and tone of voice to life for our online audiences. What the job involves

As part of our Customer Engagement and Experience team, you’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional supporter experience, from ordering shop items and receiving fulfilment materials to ensuring Gift Aid contributions are processed accurately and securely.

This job share role combines operational ownership, relationship management and compliance oversight. You’ll be trusted to run essential day-to-day activity and improve the systems that sit behind them.

You’ll build and manage strong relationships with fulfilment suppliers, holding them accountable to KPIs and ensuring materials are delivered accurately and on time. You’ll also manage the day-to-day running of our online shop, including product development, stock forecasting, supplier coordination and performance monitoring.

You’ll keep fulfilment operations running efficiently by identifying improvements, resolving bottlenecks and making sure teams across the charity have what they need. Alongside this, you’ll take ownership of Gift Aid administration, ensuring claims are accurate, compliant with HMRC requirements and supported by clear audit trails.

By monitoring Gift Aid performance, you’ll analyse trends and recommend improvements, keeping internal teams informed and skilled in best practice. You’ll also support Fundraising teams with compliance checks, offering guidance and helping to resolve any issues quickly and effectively.

In addition, you’ll oversee monthly stock reconciliations and financial reporting for shop activity, ensuring accuracy and supporting informed decision-making. You’ll work closely with colleagues across digital, operations, marketing and customer experience to deliver a seamless, joined-up supporter journey.

This is a varied and meaningful role where your work directly improves how supporters experience Prostate Cancer UK.

Please note, internally this role is known as Gift Aid, Compliance and Fulfilment Manager.

What we want from you

You’ll need excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with your job share partner, keeping each other aligned on tasks, responsibilities and priorities, and ensuring a seamless handover when needed.
