About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to support our team with a range of administrative and project-based tasks. The Membership and Learning team is dedicated to developing, co-creating, and delivering engaging, inclusive learning experiences that foster creativity, curiosity and critical thinking in philanthropy and grant making. In this dynamic role, you'll be involved in organising conferences and meetings, hosting webinars, managing key projects, and building strong relationships across the network. Your work will be a blend of project coordination, event management, and administration, ensuring our learning initiatives run smoothly and effectively.
Our members vary from very small teams with two or three staff to well established very well- resourced foundations. The Membership and Learning team are the contact point for all community foundations. You will be supporting the team to: answer members’ enquiries, champion best practice and raise standards.
Working closely with other teams including Communications, Business Development and Programmes, the Membership and Learning team has an oversight of all UKCF activity relating to our members.
The ability to listen, problem solve and engage others is critical. You'll bring strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage a diverse and dynamic workload, supporting a range of projects across both the membership network and the UKCF team.

You will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in donor retention, direct marketing, or individual giving within the charity sector, with a strong understanding of audience segmentation and donor journeys.
- Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to tailor compelling and persuasive fundraising appeals for a range of audiences.
- Experience of setting, working to, and meeting, fundraising targets, with an innovative approach to developing new fundraising products.
- Excellent organisational skills including experience of planning and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

You will be a collaborative, team player with the ability to work under pressure and deliver outcomes to tight deadlines with exceptional project management skills. Experience of working with telemarketing or similar agencies to drive revenue is desirable, but not essential, as is experience with legacy marketing and gaming products and a familiarity with digital marketing / fundraising, and email automation tools. Knowledge of care sector fundraising, local authority funding and HMRC Gift aid processes would also be an advantage.

About us
The Asylum Reform Initiative (ARI) is an alliance of nine leading national organisations collaborating to secure deep change towards a fair, compassionate and well-managed UK approach to refugees. Central to its strategy has been incubating, launching and backing the broader, public-facing Together With Refugees campaign coalition, now with over 600 national and local member groups from across the refugee sector and beyond. The ARI team provides a dynamic hub that supports Together With Refugees, coordinating the development and delivery of the coalition’s campaign strategy.
About the role
This is a new role. Working closely with the rest of the ARI team, One Strong Voice, and the newly formed Together With Refugees Steering Group, it will play a key part in shaping and delivering the ambitious next phase of the Together With Refugees strategy. The Deputy Director will lead on movement building, strengthening the coalition, and developing the reach, activation levels and effectiveness of the coalition’s grassroots campaign organising to secure changes in policy and practice. At the heart of this is the engagement and leadership of activists with lived experience as refugees, and of member groups that are led by and for refugees – so advancing the goal of a transition to leadership by people with lived experience across the coalition. Key to this work will be building the capacity, effectiveness and impact of the One Strong Voice network to support lived experience campaigners, organisations and leaders at all levels. The Deputy Director will also contribute to wider leadership of the team’s work including fundraising, support for – and accountability to – coalition leadership structures, and effective delivery of the team’s work programme.

The Advice Services Manager will take the lead on BIAS’s day-to-day advice services, managing a small team of welfare and housing advice specialists to ensure that we provide the highest-quality service to our clients. You will need to have experience of delivering front-line benefits and/or housing advice, strong people skills and the ability to build good working relationships with staff and clients, along with excellent organisational abilities to ensure that casework and projects are delivered on time.
In 2025, BIAS is expanding its successful Brent-based welfare and housing advice service into Haringey borough. The Advice Services Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager to build and develop the new advice service in Haringey, ensuring that we replicate our excellent quality of service, strong record of positive outcomes and loyal client base.
This role will also involve working with the leadership team to help identify areas for future development and support grant applications and reporting, which will give you the opportunity to have a direct impact on shaping the organisation’s future strategy and direction.

KEY WORK AREAS AND MAIN DUTIES
Staff management
- Managing a small advice team, ensuring the quality of the advice provided.
- Providing support, supervision and training to staff on the delivery of advice services, ensuring that appropriate advice is provided and casework deadlines are met.
- Ensuring good teamwork and lines of communication between staff and partner organisations.
- Creating a positive working environment in which equity and diversity are promoted and staff can do their best.
Quality and service delivery
- Leading the welfare advice services in both Brent and Haringey boroughs, and contributing to further expansion.
- Maintaining a small personal caseload (approximately one to two days’ work per week).
- Working with the Operations Manager to ensure that BIAS complies with Advice Quality Standard (AQS) requirements.
- Leading on monitoring service delivery, recording outcomes and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Managing all aspects of risk relating to advice delivery, complaints handling, safeguarding and GDPR.
Operational support
- Working with the leadership team as required on operational matters, including planning, strategy for future development and grant applications and reporting.
These are the basic duties required of the Advice Services Manager. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and you may be required from time to time to perform other reasonable duties which are required for the efficient running of the organisation. We will also offer training opportunities to support your career development.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. This role will be based in our advice offices in Willesden and Haringey[1] but there may be some options for flexible working (i.e. one or two days per week).
ABOUT BIAS
BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for over forty-five years. We deliver our support through our welfare advice drop-in service, our active ageing clubs and our Be-a-Friend volunteer scheme. BIAS has exciting plans for further expansion in 2025 and has a range of medium- to long-term grant funding, including from Ireland’s Emigrant Support Programme.

Maggie’s is on an exciting journey, as we continue our mission to grow income, awareness, and impact through our corporate partnerships. Over the last 5 years we’ve doubled our income from national corporate partnerships, but we know there is so much more we can do. That’s why we’re looking for an experienced Corporate Partnerships Manager, with exceptional communication skills to join our ambitious and friendly team.
It’s an exciting time to be joining Maggie’s, as we continue to open new centres across the UK. Over the last year we’ve brought on new partnerships with leading companies, such as Howden and Scotmid.
The Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser is a key role in our fundraising team and has two key aims:
- Driving significant income growth from corporate partnerships, by taking Maggie’s national partnership proposition to businesses to meet ambitious but achievable targets.
- Delivering and growing key partnerships with support from the other members of the Corporate Partnerships and Centre Fundraising Teams.
In order to achieve these aims, two other key elements of the job will be:
- Supporting with the development and delivery of corporate collateral and engagement tools to steward existing partners and attract new ones – such as webinars and networking events.
- Supporting Centre Fundraisers to grow partnership income from companies of all sizes and will assist in the development of engagement initiatives to cultivate new and existing supporters – for example by leading on our Christmas Corporate Appeal.
Although this is an office based role, a typical week will involve travel to corporate offices and other Maggie's locations. There will be a requirement to work occasional irregular hours.
Maggie's provide free cancer support and information in our centres alongside NHS hospitals and online.

At Toc H Newport, we offer co-produced activities, outreach services and practical support to some of the most disadvantaged individuals and families in the area, reaching over 600 individuals in 2024.Our vision is of a neighbourhood where everyone has the strong community life, emotional wellbeing and socioeconomic opportunities needed to flourish.
Our centre for service delivery is the Toc H Community Centre in Eveswell, Newport, where our offer includes our popular Stay and Play sessions for low-income families, and children’s after-school club Active Juniors. Our activities and services are incredibly popular, and we hold longstanding partnerships with local agencies and stakeholders.
It is an exciting period of growth for Toc H Newport, with a number of new funding streams making it possible for us to reach many more families in need across Newport in 2025 and beyond. This includes a £300,000 grant from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government’s Community Ownership Fund, allowing us to soon complete a full structural and interior renovation of our facilities. Following a Community Asset Transfer, our space will soon triple in size, meaning we can offer more activities and services to more local people. It’s a great time to join us and become part of a dynamic, collaborative team, committed to driving positive change at a local level.
