About the role

The Member Subscriptions Officer manages the administration and finance of NCVO’s membership subscriptions. Key duties include running monthly renewals, issuing invoices, managing payments and reducing aged debt. The role involves regular use of NCVO’s CRM system to ensure accurate records and efficient processes.

The post holder will handle member enquiries, support new applications and maintain strong relationships with members. Working closely with NCVO’s Finance team, they will ensure timely direct debit collections and contribute to income tracking and forecasting.

This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, numerate, and confident using databases, with experience in financial administration and customer service.

The project aims to target predominantly black and minority ethnic people who are in debt through developing partnerships with local groups and community organisations who serve these communities in Southwark.

• Recent and ongoing paid or voluntary experience of managing your own caseload of money advice and income maximisation cases.

The Role

We are looking for a Grants and Major Gifts Executive to develop and manage a portfolio of grant-making trusts, foundations, and major donors. Reporting directly to our CEO, you will play a crucial role in helping us to grow our income and support more people.

We are a small, dynamic team, so there is also plenty of scope to get involved with other things and gain an insight into all areas of the charity, with opportunities for growth and development. 

We have really ambitious plans for 2025 and beyond so we’re looking for an individual who has a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude!

About the role

As Grants and Major Gifts Executive you will:

• Develop and implement strategies to secure funding from trusts, foundations, and major donors.

• Identify and research potential funding opportunities aligned with organisational priorities.

• Work closely with the Leadership Team to align funding needs with donor interests or relevant trusts and foundations. 

• Prepare and submit high-quality grant applications and tailored grant applications to prospective funders. 

• Develop and implement a communications strategy for active grant funders, keeping them informed, engaged, and connected to the impact of their support.

• Oversee the reporting requirements of all active grant funders, ensuring timely submission of high-quality reports that demonstrate accountability and impact.

• Collaborate with the internal service team to gather impact data and stories for donor communications and grant applications. 

• Manage relationships with donors of auction and raffle prizes for major fundraising events, ensuring thoughtful stewardship, timely recognition, and securing ongoing support for future campaigns. 

• Track and report on fundraising performance.

• Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and funding outcomes on our CRM.

About you

Based within easy commuting distance of our office in Westminster, our ideal candidate would have a proven track record of securing funding from trusts, foundations, and major donors.

We are looking for a Specialist Housing IDVA

Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 depending on experience

Location: Hammersmith Head Office

Hours: 35 hours per week

Thursdays early shift (8am) and evening between 6-9pm on rota basis (approximately every 4-5 weeks)

Contract: Fixed Term Until March 31st 2026

About the role:

The Specialist Housing Advocate will work within a dynamic, fast paced team to provide intervention, advocacy and support that empowers women and ensures that the voice of survivors informs every stage of their journey towards improved safety. This is a new and exciting service, and we are looking for someone passionate about ensuring that all survivors of domestic abuse are able to access safe and appropriate accommodation which meets their needs.

To be successful as Specialist Housing Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:

You will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on survivors and their children, and of best practice within the domestic abuse and housing sectors. You will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. The post holder will hold a caseload of survivors and will also be required to support Advance’s duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.

Job Purpose:

This role will assist the finance team with finance-related queries and the processing of all financial transactions. This includes accurate bookkeeping of income and expenses, ensuring all purchase orders and invoices are authorised and correctly coded, and that payments are set up properly to be made in accordance with agreed terms.

About the Role:

The role operates at an officer level within the context of a volunteer led, global charitable organisation, supporting the Finance Managers to provide financial and accounting expertise to the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing of all financial transactions ensuring purchase orders and invoices are authorised and coded correctly into the system and payments are set up correctly to be paid in accordance with agreed terms – for World Bureau and AISBL.
• Setting up the suppliers on the finance system.
• Control of the purchase ledger.
• Executing timely and accurate payment runs.
• Raising the EVC invoices and managing receipts.
• Operation and control of the sales ledger, ensuring that invoices are produced and raised in accordance with contract terms; checking that those payments are received in accordance with agreed terms; and taking appropriate action including liaising with the relevant team where amounts are not received.
•  Accurate and appropriate income recording and liaising with the Fundraising team regarding donations received.
• Processing and recording of petty cash payments in accordance with the WAGGGS petty cash policy.
• Processing and payments of staff and volunteer expenses in accordance with the WAGGGS expenses policy

You should have:

• Experience of contributing to complex programme decision-making, basing practical recommendations on sound analysis of risk and opportunity 
• Experience and knowledge of international humanitarian policy and practice issues and the humanitarian architecture sufficient to command the respect of others in the sector
• Experience in using best practices and humanitarian standards in designing programmes.
• Commitment to and experience of supporting locally led humanitarian action.
• Experience of developing and distance-managing partnerships with international or local agencies. 
• Proven experience of managing all elements of the project cycle. 
• An understanding of logical frameworks, monitoring and evaluation methodologies and the measurement of project impact. 
• Willingness to undertake significant international travel (approx. 4-6 trips per year).
