The shift pattern for this role consist of: early shift 9am to 5pm and late shift 12pm to 8pm. Weekends and bank holidays 9am to 5pm

As the Prospect Research and Communications Manager, you will take a leading role in identifying five, six, and seven-figure prospects for the Relationship Fundraising team. With a focus on building a healthy pipeline of high value donors from trusts and foundations, through to major donors, this role will work collaboratively with the team to identify new funding opportunities. This role will also populate pipelines for specific fundraising activity including Appeals and Special Events. Ensuring potential donors are engaged with the team's work, it will also work on delivering the Philanthropy communication programme.

The successful candidate will have proven experience within the charity sector and will have examples of successful prospect research for a fundraising team. This person will need to have high levels of attention to detail and be comfortable in creating compelling cases for support. Joining a collaborative team, but as the sole prospect researcher, this person will need to work with others as a team but also autonomously.

SOS Rape Crisis (SOSRC) is an independent specialist sexual violence charity providing support for adults (regardless of gender), young people and children who have experienced sexual violence and/or child sexual abuse, in Southend, Castle Point and Rochford.

We are part of Synergy Essex, a partnership of three Rape Crisis Centres (SOSRC, SERICC and CARA), funded by the Office for the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex to provide a countywide ISVA service.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a dedicated team providing vital support to survivors of sexual violence and abuse. As a Navigator Project Worker, you will be the first point of contact for individuals accessing Southend-on-Sea Rape Crisis services. You will offer compassionate, trauma-informed, and needs led support, helping survivors feel heard and understood from the outset. Through careful assessment and informed referrals, you’ll play a key role in connecting survivors with the most appropriate services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a professional and empathic first point of contact for survivors of sexual violence and/or abuse.

• Offer one-off emotional and practical support, and provide information, signposting and onward referrals.

• Complete initial assessments to identify their needs and most appropriate next steps.

• Keep accurate, timely and confidential records on the case management system.

• Work in partnership with SOSRC colleagues including the Counselling and ISVA Teams.

• Attend team meetings, one-to-ones, clinical supervision, line management and other meetings as required.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection legislation and guidelines.

• Contribute to monitoring and evaluation and meet administrative requirements.

• Work in accordance with all SOSRC policies and procedures.

The Role

Working across West Yorkshire in members' homes and community, you will build trusted relationships with children and young people who are victim/survivors of domestic abuse alongside their parent / care giver. You will work closely with the Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to holistically support the family.

You will gain understanding of people’s strengths, interests and hobbies, whilst also building up knowledge of the needs of support, barriers and issues faced by Gypsies and Travellers.

You will also work to increase the availability of protective factors and support networks through encouraging and supporting participation in education and activities.  This will include working with existing youth provision to develop and deliver session plan around healthy relationships, honour-based violence and safety planning to embed knowledge and skills within our young people.

You will have experience of:

• Management systems, web-based communications and writing simple report
• Working with children and/or young people who are/have experienced trauma.
• Writing reports for example for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
• Recording information in a fact based and timely manner

As a key member of the programmes team, the post holder will be responsible for planning and implementing a portfolio of impactful programmes across Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe using sport as a development tool for social change.

They will be responsible for managing a diverse sport for development portfolio, providing high level programme support, financial oversight, monitoring and evaluation technical expertise and capacity building support to our global implementing partners. This role will involve working closely with the Senior Programmes and Grants Managers, aiming always to ensure Sport for Good makes progress towards its Vision. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To develop and manage a caseload of grants, including institutional and internal grants. This includes assessing competencies of organisations and developing organisational plans with grantees
• To support the ongoing development of grantees through capacity building, and providing networking opportunities
• To support the Sport for Good Development Team in their applications to institutional funders, trusts and foundations, providing input and advice as requested
• To ensure grant-management requirements for Sport for Good and external funding are met successfully
• To work closely with grantees responsibly to source narratives of individual and community transformation to support development of donor relationships and communication 
• To provide good customer care to grantees, maintaining regular but appropriate contact and safeguarding their interests
• To undertake monitoring trips, conducting site assessments to international and UK based projects
• To source new, innovative projects in line with Sport for Good’s funding criteria
• To assist in raising the standards of child protection within Sport for Good’s portfolio
• To update the database and to analyse data from reports and write up recommendations for senior management and/or board consideration

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience from working in a charity or foundation with focus on international development
• Experience of submitting successful funding proposals to institutional donors and trusts and foundations
• Strong track record of successful management of all reporting requirements associated with grants received from third parties
• Good project management skills, with experience delivering or grant-managing projects internationally; able to work on multiple tasks and to prioritise these to meet deadlines
• Affinity to sport, understanding of sport as a power for development 
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on own initiative
• Basic budgeting and financial management experience, able to understand the link between finance and operations
• Ability to work cross-organisationally with multiple stakeholders in the realisation of shared goals
• Confident communicator and convenor, particularly in  written reports, external communications, presentations and with people whose first language is not English
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships to achieve objectives with international partners
• Written and oral fluency in English is required
• Fluency in a second language (in addition to English) is required, preferrably French

About the role:

This role is based in London with Hybrid working.

As a Senior IDVA you will be:

• The main purpose of the job is to effectively manage and develop a high quality, innovative and pro-active domestic abuse service for victims and their children, including those at highest risk. Also you will need to ensure that the service prioritises the safety, security and dignity of service users and their children.
• The job would also include you being lead in crisis situations and to provide advice and guidance on safeguarding issues and information sharing concern
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
• Develop your team and address their individual development/performance needs, set individual and team objectives and undertake annual appraisals.

You will need:

• To be successful in this role, you will need to have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse, including the impact on victims and their children, and the legal and practical remedies available to these clients.
• Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practice and legislation relating to equal opportunities and diversity, inclusivity, safeguarding and risk assessments.
• Experience managing the delivery of domestic abuse services and managerial experience will also be necessary as well as having a thorough understanding of IDVA work.
• A proven ability to confidently use various IT systems including Case Management, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Outlook and other online applications/platforms.
• You would also need to hold a SafeLives IDVA training certificate, a relevant degree, a vocational qualification or have equivalent experience.
• An enhanced criminal record check and police vetting is required for this role.

As Data Lead, you will facilitate the collection, management, integrity, security and reporting of our programme delivery, quality assurance and evaluation data, supporting the work of the Data and Insights Manager and Head of Impact and Quality. Main responsibilities

• Lead on data capture of key data points from partner schools, ensuring high quality throughout, efficient processes, and complete data. For example, collection of pupil data, SATs and GCSE results.
   
• Be responsible for promoting high standards of data integrity across the organisation. This includes supporting staff to develop in their use of data, undertaking regular data integrity activities, and developing solutions to improve data integrity issues at the source.
   
• Work with the Data and Insights Manager on the administration, maintenance and development of our Salesforce CRM system.
   
• Support the design, delivery and maintenance of a range of custom reports (in Salesforce or other software), to facilitate external stakeholder reporting and a range of internal project work across departments.
   
• With the Data and Insights Manager, act as expert in data governance and data protection processes at Action Tutoring, promoting data security and GDPR compliance across the organisation.
   
• Any other ad hoc responsibilities as deemed relevant by the CEO.
   

Person specification

We are looking for someone who has:
 

• Two or more years experience with Salesforce administration, including custom objects.
   
• Experience administering online data capture software (ideally FormAssembly), including managing integrations with Salesforce.
   
• Experience working with complex datasets in Excel, including data cleaning in preparation for import/export or analysis.
   
• Experience generating reports for a range of stakeholders.
   
• The ability to design data collection processes and system changes that are scalable, impactful, and promote high standards of data integrity.
   
• Project management experience, including creating project plans, gathering requirements, analysing risks, and managing stakeholders.
   
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; proactive in communicating updates and change to stakeholders at all levels.
   
• Confidence adapting communication style and approach to develop data skills in others, including those without a technical background.
   
• A creative and inquisitive attitude about how technology and automation can improve efficiencies across the organisation.
   
• A good understanding of GDPR compliance and processes.
