Location: Hybrid. The post holder will be contractually based at Hospice House,Kings cross London. This role is eligible for the Hospice UK Hybrid Working Arrangement from the start of employment.
Our office is a short walk from King’s Cross station in London. For this role, we need someone to come into the office at least one day a week, on a Tuesday. A day where all of Income Generation come into the office. You can work remotely for the rest of the time. Equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time. We encourage all colleagues to visit member hospices to help inform our work and you may be able to work from there.

The Team:
We are a team of three that sit within the wider Income Generation and Grants directorate. The Compassionate Employers team includes the Compassionate Employers Programme Lead, Corporate Development Manager and the Compassionate Employers Executive.
Working together, we aim to support employers who need our workplace services, ultimately raising funds for hospices throughout the UK.
The Compassionate Employers programme and this role sit within our Corporate Development Team, within Income Generation and Grants. Compassionate Employers is a key part of Hospice UK’s Income Generation strategy.
Our Corporate Development Team works closely within and across the department. The focus in the team is on building partnerships with businesses, through commercial activity, fundraising or strategic support. Current corporate partnerships include several ‘charity of the year’ relationships, conferences and events, sponsorship, cause-related marketing partnerships, a supplier directory and a jobs board. As well as driving positive change for people affected by terminal illness and bereavement in the workplace, Compassionate Employers is an important income generation stream and ‘door-opener’ for Hospice UK.

About the role
The main purpose of the role is to coordinate the Methodist Church’s response to the arrival of Hong Kong nationals in Great Britain.
This will involve liaising with the Methodist Church in Hong Kong and with circuits and local churches in Britain to ensure pastoral support for Hong Kong Methodists as they make the transition to this country. The calling of the Methodist Church is to respond to the gospel of God's love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission.
The purpose of the role is to drive and deliver our ambitious fundraising strategy in order to support the work of Life. The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for shaping and delivering the end-to-end experience of existing supporters as well as attaining new supporters.
Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and leading the Individual Giving Team, the post holder will work closely with colleagues across the fundraising and marketing teams to; create, test, monitor and evaluate appeals and campaigns, lead on Legacy (and in-memoriam giving) lottery and raffle and other income streams associated with individual giving. The post holder will be working to and reporting on ambitious income and expenditure targets and ensuring that supporters have a positive experience of the charity.
The postholder will lead a Donor Administration Manager to deliver on a positive donor/supporter experience with the aim of retention of current supporters for the long term as well as acquisition of new donors, maximising the potential of all of our supporters. It forms a central part of the overall fundraising strategy, with the ultimate aim of growing our individual giving income to increase the impact of the charity and benefit those needing support in pregnancy, pregnancy loss or in the early years of a baby.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, develop and implement a cohesive supporter journey strategy focussed on supporter needs and continuous re-engagement
· Champion best practice and stewardship with individual supporters
· Grow one-off donations and regular gifts and maximise the acquisition of new supporters through direct mail and digital marketing
· Co-ordinate all communications and messaging targeted at existing supporters
· Measure performance against campaigns and appeals
· Lead on marketing and communications around Legacy giving and the Legacy and In-Memoriam supporters journey
· Lead on other forms of individual giving income streams such as the lottery or raffles, horizon scanning for new opportunities

Information Management

We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for building a fairer legal system through impactful events, engaging member outreach, and powerful communications. Working alongside the Director of Development and the Head of Communications, this role will work across teams to maintain and strengthen engagement through events, communications and corporate outreach. About the opportunity
Corporate partnerships are critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future. The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year) of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations. We’re looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead on our corporate partnership activities and initiatives, including growing income from corporate partners as well as increasing the number of corporate volunteer tutor applications we receive from them. JOB DESCRIPTION
Strategy and Operations
1. Develop, implement, and lead execution of the charity's annual operational plan and 3-year strategic plan.
2. Identify appropriate level of staffing, volunteering, ensuring that all staff and volunteers are appropriately interviewed, vetted, inducted, trained, developed, and supported to deliver against their objectives.

Identifying and securing new employer partnerships:
- Lead on identifying different opportunities to generate income growth for our charity, including ‘charity of the year’ partnerships and developing and promoting a range of attractive strategic opportunities for corporates/ employers looking to sponsor and fund our charity;
- Researching and developing a prospect pipeline, including spending time generating new leads and meeting clients, to support the development of new corporate partners and ensure that CRM information is continuously updated;

Establishing, negotiating, and managing new partnerships and further developing existing employer partnerships:
- Negotiating new funding partnerships with clients that are deliverable, cost-effective, and generate money in addition to the cost of managing the partnerships;
- Persistently and professionally following up with clients at different stages of interest, in order to move forward and hopefully convert these partnership discussions into signed contracts/ commitments – i.e. moving discussions along to ‘close the deal’;
- Building strong relationships through a stewardship programme to engage with partners in a variety of ways on a regular basis, in particular with existing partners that are not currently funding partners to transition them to a funded model;

Key duties
- Staff and volunteer management
- Line manage staff by providing support and supervision as needed, conducting regular performance reviews, and identifying staff training needs
- Oversee recruitment, training, and management of volunteers to ensure they are properly supported and equipped to help meet CAW’s service goals
Service delivery
- Ensure high quality and timely service delivery in line with the Service Level Agreements with our various service partners
- Identify any issues with service delivery and help develop cost-effective solutions to them as appropriate
- Compile and maintain accurate statistics on service performance to share with funders and CAW trustees
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with our key service partners through regular engagement, including attendance at regular service partnership meetings
- Engage regularly with our funders and other key stakeholders to build and maintain positive working relationships, and provide them with timely reporting on our service performance as needed
- Update service level agreements with existing funders, and draft new agreements as needed
- Interact with clients as needed in a friendly and professional manner
Administration and Finance
- Ensure day-to-day administrative processes are functioning smoothly, and that necessary policies and procedures are up to date
- Line manage work of receptionist/administrative support worker
Fundraising and Marketing
- Help identify new funding and other revenue-raising opportunities
- Support the work of the fundraising sub-committee in preparing funding applications
- Work with trustees and external vendors to ensure CAW website is kept up-to-date
- Work with trustees and external vendors (as appropriate) to develop a social media presence for CAW
- Identifying and supporting efforts to increase CAW’s profile in the local community and to build relationships with key local stakeholders as appropriate Governance
- Prepare monthly reports for the trustees on service performance
- Maintain good lines of communication with trustees on all operational matters
- Attend trustee board meetings as needed
Person specification
Essential criteria
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a managerial role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, including ability to manage a diverse range of working relationships in an effective, empathetic but professional manner
- Experience of working in a busy environment, managing competing work pressures and prioritising tasks appropriately to ensure key deadlines are met
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience preparing reports and compiling service statistics
- Ability to think strategically, to identify problems and devise effective solutions
- Ability to work on own initiative, within established practices and procedures
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge and experience of advice work
- Experience with fundraising
- Experience with financial management in the charitable sector

We are looking for someone that can pick up on office admin, meet and greet for visiting alumni that would like a tour of campus, database support, support for the events we have coming up over the summer (admin support for RSVPS, event logistics and attendance in person):
