Rotherham and Barnsley Mind is an independent local provider of high-quality mental health services in Rotherham, Barnsley, and its surrounding areas.

To support our continued impact and growth, we are looking to appoint a Director of Services to work closely with the CEO, ensuring that we effectively deliver our vision, ambition, and strategic objectives.

The Role

The main responsibilities of the role include:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement operational plans aligned with the charity's vision, ambition, strategic objectives.
• Service Management: Oversee the delivery of mental health services, ensuring they meet quality standards and address the needs of beneficiaries.
• Team Coordination: Lead and support staff, including service leads, volunteers, and other team members, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and positive work environment.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong two-way operational relationships with commissioners, NHS professionals, and other key stakeholders and partners to enhance service delivery and growth.
• Budget and Resource Management: Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial sustainability and cost-efficiency. Work closely with the Business Development Officer.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to legal regulations, safeguarding policies, organisational standards, and compliance with all associated regulations.
• Project Oversight: Manage and oversee projects, including fundraising initiatives and community programs, to increase the charity's impact.
• Human Resources: Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and employee records, as well as managing holiday and sick leave.
• Health & Safety: Updating policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring a safe working environment.
• IT and Facilities Management: Managing IT systems, office premises, and supplies.

The Community Energy Adviser will deliver energy support sessions in local communities, empowering individuals and families through workshops and one-to-one support. The Role

In this role you will be:

• Planning and delivering engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees. 
• Providing one-to-one support to individuals requiring more in-depth assistance, including conducting home energy assessments and offering tailored advice. 
• Collaborating with local organisations and stakeholders to identify and reach out to communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support. 
• Developing and distributing educational materials on energy saving, bill management, and the benefits of renewable energy sources. 
• Tracking and evaluating the impact of community sessions and one-to-one interventions, adjusting strategies to improve outreach and support effectiveness. 
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of energy sector developments, including changes in legislation, available grants, and best practices in energy conservation.

JOB DESCRIPTION  Main responsibilities.

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all internal and external financial processing and reporting, ensuring full compliance with all laws and regulations, including the Charity Commission, HMRC and Companies House regulations.

1. Lead, motivate, develop and train the finance team, promoting an equal, diverse and inclusive team with a positive culture reflecting the values of Feed The Hungry. 

2. Ensure Feed The Hungry operates sound financial, risk management, internal control systems and maintains up-to-date Financial Regulations to safeguard stakeholders' interests and assets and to ensure the integrity of the organisation’s financial performance and statements. 

3. Provide effective day-to-day oversight of the organisation’s financial controls and financial performance, including keeping financial policies up to date and in line with our processes.

4. As Company Secretary, support governance activities, including administration for board meetings, trustee enquiries and administrative duties for the board. 

5. Be alert to all organisational activities that have a financial impact and speedily assess the impact of such activities. 

6. In partnership with the CEO and Directors, develop and support the delivery of the organisation's strategic plan and the related budgets and forecasts.

7. Ensure the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial data, including strategic plans, budgets, management accounts, live forecasts, and financial data and monitoring requested by funders.

8. Provide financial and management support to the CEO, Directors and trustees on the financial position and risks and opportunities of Feed the Hungry. 

9. Financial oversight of contract negotiations (utilities, insurance). 

10. Proactively develop strong working relationships with FTH managers, providing constructive challenge and commercial insight in support of the strategy. Be proactive in challenging the status quo and be prepared to bring new ideas that will enhance the organisation’s activities and returns. 

11. Regular monitoring and tracking of grants made to the organisation. Ensuring external reporting deadlines are met and internal updates on remaining spend is conveyed to project management grant holders. 

12. Administrative responsibility for oversight of the externally appointed auditors and the successful completion of annual audited financial statements and the annual report, and the timely submission to the Trustees.

13. Maintain an ongoing dialogue with the CEO and Directors, and the external auditors. Responsible for the Company's Finance, Tax, Pensions, Audit, and Payroll.

14. Fulfil the role and duties of Company Secretary and attend Trustee meetings with the CEO and Directors 

15. General Duties: 

    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and recommend changes as appropriate. 

    • Attend all mandatory training required to complete and maintain your role, ensuring you keep up to date with changes to specific laws and legislation that are relevant to your role

The Employment Adviser (EA) plays a key role in supporting refugees and people from refugee backgrounds to progress towards and secure sustainable employment. The EA provides tailored employment advice and guidance, helping clients build the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to navigate the UK job market. This role will work with clients at various stages of their employment journey, with a particular focus on those in the earlier stages of understanding career options, developing employability skills, and exploring education, training, and volunteering opportunities.

The EA will deliver one-to-one and group-based employability support, collaborate with employers and volunteers to source opportunities for clients, and maintain strong relationships with referral and support partners to ensure a holistic approach to employment support.

The Programme Manager role

Due to the continued expansion and sustainability of our programmes, we are seeking a new team member to support our next period of growth into the 2025-2026 academic year.

You will be a consumate account manager to support our skills and employability programmes designed in partnership with industry. You will work collaboratively with our corporate and industry partners to support teachers and students in schools and further education institutions access a range of TTF educational programmes.

• Management of multiple projects and events
• Team management to deliver programmes (proven experience of line managing direct reports)

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, successful and growing fundraising team, part of the wider High Value Partnerships team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the other members of the team to steward their donor relationships and bring in significant gifts to help fund the work of the RSPB.  The role primarily focusses on delivering administrative, financial and events processes and requires someone with excellent attention to detail and experience of Microsoft Office applications, a CRM system and financial management tools.

About the Role

The Philanthropy Team works with individuals who make significant gifts of money, land and shares to the RSPB and who need bespoke and one-to-one management.

The key responsibilities of this role are: -

• Donation and gift management - ensuring all gifts are processed and recorded so they can be acknowledged in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Financial coding and reporting - including coding and allocation of gifts, and monthly & annual reconciliation and income reporting.
• Event planning and logisitics - working closely with other team members to deliver high quality events and meetings for donors and prospects.
• CRM management and development - managing and updating the current CRM system (Salesforce) for the team (including training) and ensuring it is functioning as required by working closely with the CRM Manager.
• Donor stewardship support - maintaining contact information and databases in an accurate and GDPR compliant way and assisting with the team’s donor stewardship programme and funding appeals (spreadsheets, mailings etc).
• Internal liaison - fostering good relations and cooperation with High Value Partnerships colleagues and other teams.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Ability to demonstrate the competencies required to undertake the duties associated with this level of post having acquired the necessary knowledge and skills in a similar role.
• Good understanding of data protection and ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
• Detailed knowledge of and proficiency in the Microsoft suite and using a CRM system.
• Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing to ensure effective reporting and customer service.

This role will work with clients at various stages of their employment journey, with a particular focus on those in the earlier stages of understanding career options, developing employability skills, and exploring education, training, and volunteering opportunities.

The EA will deliver one-to-one and group-based employability support, collaborate with employers and volunteers to source opportunities for clients, and maintain strong relationships with referral and support partners to ensure a holistic approach to employment support.
