The DRC Fieldwork Coordinator role sits within RFUK’s largest Programmes team: Land & Livelihoods. A central aspect of the L&L team’s work is supporting communities to establish and manage community forests as well as working at the national and policy levels to achieve wider impact. This role will be pivotal to a new phase of community forest expansion in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is being supported by the Rainforest Trust. In partnership with five local organisations, the role will contribute to the objective of expanding community forests in two highly biodiverse landscapes: the periphery of the Maïko National Park in North Kivu province and the area surrounding the Salonga National Park in Maï Ndombe province. 

The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years’ experience of project management support in a charity or international development context, as well as 3 years’ of experience in supporting community land use planning and livelihoods initiatives in rural contexts. We are seeking someone who has a firm grasp on forest governance and human rights, is familiar with the requirements of institutional donors, and is eager to play a key role in a new phase of community forest expansion.

About the role

As our Temporary Finance Manager, you will be managing a finance assistant and will be part of our organisation’s Senior Leadership Team, helping to collaboratively shape and steer the charity as we work towards our 2022-2027 strategy. The Finance Manager is at the heart of Woman’s Trust; you will play an essential role and have oversight of not just the finance team - you will have direct exposure to CEO/Board Members and decision-making for the future of the organisation. 

We are looking for a highly motived Temporary Finance Manager with demonstrable experience working in a similar senior level role. You’ll be a fully or part qualified accountant e.g. CIMA/ACA/ACCA/Cipfa, with a thorough understanding of charity accounting.

You will also begin to develop our major donor strategy, with support from senior leaders and existing networks. Due to funding for this post, you will split your time between raising funds for Pecan’s Southwark Foodbank, as well as Pecan’s other programmes and community services, and you will liaise closely with colleagues across both these areas.

Main Responsibilities:
Working with the CEO, trustees corporate partnerships and communications team, your main responsibilities will be:

• Individual Giving and Donors: develop, manage, monitor and improve the individual giving fundraising portfolio - with the initial aim of generating in excess of £250,000 per annum from individual giving. 
• Relationships with local churches and their congregations: work with the trustees and senior leadership team to deepen our relationships with out (cross denominational) member churches and to build links with additional churches in and near the area and local umbrella Christian organisations. 
• Relationships with local institutions: work with other local institutions such as schools and business to find individual donors who will financially support Pecan's work. .
• Fundraising Appeals: coordinate fundraising appeals including the Pecan and Foodbank Christmas fundraising campaign, Big Give Campaigns, and other appeals across all income and media streams.
• Fundraising Systems and Processes: Oversee our fundraising systems and processes using our new CRM (Beacon) to ensure data is accurate, GDPR compliant, segmented and usable for effective analysis, reporting and engagement. 

Key Requirements (specific skills, qualifications required):

• Proven experience in individual giving fundraising, including appeals and donor journeys.
• Experience managing and stewarding a portfolio of regular and one-off donors.
• Experience of using and maintaing a fundraising CRM (e.g. Beacon, Raiser's Edge, Donorfy, Salesforce), including data segmentation and analysis.
• Experience writing compelling donor communications (letters, emails, thankyous, updates). 

Desirable knowledge/expertise

• Exposure to, or experience with, major donor fundraising (e.g. researching prospects, supporting cultivation or stewardship).
• Understanding of Pecan's values and how they shape organisational culture.
• Knowledge of Peckham and the London Borough of Southwark.
• Member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising or similar professional body.

About the role

As the Data Protection and Compliance Officer, you will deliver the data protection and compliance agenda at Crisis, ensuring a risk-based approach in line with applicable laws including the Data Protection Act 2018, UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Privacy and E-Communications Regulation in respect of marketing compliance.

You’ll work right across the organisation, from supporting our client facing regional centres in effective information sharing to help end someone’s homelessness, to working with Crisis’ transformation programme to help improve the governance and safekeeping of corporate and personal records. It is a hugely varied and busy role where you can switch from interacting with members of the public, our clients on rights issues to advising on police disclosure requests.

This is an exciting time to join Crisis and to be part of the new Compliance, Risk and Governance Team, influencing the privacy and data protection agenda for 2025-26. You would be an integral part of this small, yet influential team supporting the organisation to meet its legal obligations, understand its regulation requirements, and foster best practice.

About the role

As a Project Officer, you will play a dynamic role in delivering a variety of walking, wheeling, and cycling projects that make a real difference to people's lives.

In this varied role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering practical activities for young people in schools, supporting the implementation of School Streets to create safer and healthier environments, and working closely with the National Cycle Network and Infrastructure teams on community engagement for related schemes.
