Summary of the role:

As the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)  Officer focuses on strengthening and supporting the various projects, including the collection of programme wide statistics to detail the reach and results of Muslim Aid UK  (MAUK) programmes. The MEAL Officer will provide guidance, coordination, and technical support to Country Offices and Partner’s MEAL systems through MAUK Programmes, ensuring that the programme has the flexibility to respond appropriately to the context while ensuring quality, effectiveness and responsiveness in line with humanitarian standards, as well as compliance with the Institutional donors.

The position supports a robust monitoring system that facilitates both accountability and learning and includes data collection, analysis, learning reflection and timely action-taking in support of quality service delivery.

You will play a critical role in this unit with an exciting mandate to support and improve the dynamic programmatic portfolio Muslim Aid Implements Globally. You will work closely with partners and country offices and contribute to improving systems within IPD.

About the Role:

1. Collaborate with the MEAL Manager, country offices and partners staff to craft MEAL systems that align with the project, and MAUK Global objectives, are relevant to the context, responsive to assessed needs, are measurable and are in compliance with grant requirements.
2. Ensure that all relevant collaborators have timely access to appropriate information and evidence.
3. Support in the review and prepare timely and accurate MEAL reports, including progress reports and impact assessments.
4. Provide assistance in monitoring programme progress including the design of appropriate MEAL Plans, indicators, targets, baseline data, timelines, data collection tools that can track progress of projects’ progress.
5. Support the preparation of terms of reference of external and internal evaluations, case and impact studies in coordination with the focal points.
6. Support the MEAL Manager on building capacity among staff and partners in MEAL concepts and practices.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate degree in international development, sustainable livelihoods, humanitarianism, or programme management preferred.
2. Understanding of development programmes design, implementation and evaluation.
3. Experience and understanding of monitoring and evaluation of programmes; using of quantitative and qualitative research data collected in support of programme development.
4. Experience developing logical/results frameworks, indicators, and MEAL plans.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective in diverse and challenging environments.
6. Strong measurement, analytical, systematic thinking, planning and organisational skills.

Job purpose:

To secure, manage and grow income from corporate partners, supporting The Sussex Beacon’s mission to provide specialist care and support for people living with HIV and its new LGBTQ+ Hospice provision. Team Beacon

Team Beacon is the charity’s event fundraising brand, bringing together supporters through challenge events, campaigns, and volunteering. The Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser will work closely with other members of the Fundraising team to support our corporate challenge events, encourage staff engagement, and develop sponsorship packages for major events such as The Brighton Half Marathon, which we own, and community challenges. This collaborative approach enhances visibility and fosters a sense of shared purpose among partners and supporters alike.

 Business Networking Events

 The postholder will represent The Sussex Beacon at a variety of business networking events, including LGBTQ+ network events, across Sussex and beyond. These events offer valuable opportunities to connect with potential partners, showcase the charity’s impact, and build strategic relationships. The Fundraiser will be proactive in identifying and attending relevant events, from Chamber of Commerce meetings to local business expos, ensuring The Sussex Beacon maintains a visible and professional presence in the corporate community.

· Maintain accurate records of partner interactions and income through the charity’s CRM system.

· Prepare regular reports and updates for the Head of Income and senior leadership.

· Work with the communications team to highlight successful partnerships and case studies.

· Support the wider fundraising team during peak periods or major campaigns.

· Stay up to date with trends and developments in corporate fundraising and CSR.

· Responsibility alongside fundraising for corporate events such as The Sussex Beacon relay and 5k inflatable course.

This role requires full professional fluency in both written and spoken Mexican Spanish. You’ll be supporting young people in Mexico and must be confident providing direct support in the local language and context.

• Provide direct, one-to-one support to young people via our online platforms - including our support community, email, and social media DMs.
• Offer thoughtful, judgment-free advice on topics like anxiety, low self-esteem, identity, relationships, and bullying.
• Spot safeguarding concerns and act swiftly using our established procedures.
• Engage with and moderate our digital support community.
• Collaborate with our wider team to shape content and campaigns that reflect youth voices.
• Represent Ditch the Label’s values with integrity, authenticity, and empathy.

What you’ll bring:

• Fluent written and spoken Mexican Spanish (essential)
• A relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g. Psychology, Psychotherapy or Counselling) or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience supporting young people aged 12–25
• Solid understanding of youth safeguarding practices
• Strong digital communication skills, including confident writing and fast, accurate typing
• A genuine passion for empowering young people

• Can write or review online support guides and resources
• Are confident gathering testimonials or impact data
• Speak other languages beyond English and Mexican Spanish

Join ClientEarth as our next Grants Manager and play a vital role in securing the resources that power our mission to protect people and planet. In this role you will lead on renewing and managing income from major trusts, foundations, and institutional funders, while building strong relationships with some of our largest and most strategic partners. The role also offers the chance to help shape and deliver our fundraising strategy across Europe, the US, and Asia.

Meet your Manager

You will be managed by Jamil De Dominicis. Jamil joined ClientEarth in 2019 and is based in London. As Global Head of Grants, he leads the Grants Management team and oversees ClientEarth’s grants income from trusts, foundations and other statutory and institutional funders. Prior to joining ClientEarth, Jamil worked in various policy, research and grant management roles at the international affairs think tank Chatham House and the National Foundation for Youth Music.

Main Duties

• Manage a portfolio of grants from key Trusts, Foundations and statutory funders. Ensure that funders are aware of project performance, and that ClientEarth’s implementation is always in compliance with grant agreements. 
• Develop and produce well researched and comprehensive proposals and reports to existing donors that meet funding priorities and requirements, within the submission deadline and oversee the coordination of Programme, Development and Finance teams as required for effective grant management. 
• Work closely with the Global Head of Grants, Grants Management Lead and wider Development Leadership on budget forecasts and donor pipeline to ensure effective, joined-up cultivation of prospects and income generation. 
• Oversee, review and, as appropriate, sign–off on the work of line managed staff (including reports, proposal, and other written material for internal and external purposes). 
• Support the Global Head of Grants to develop and implement the team’s annual planning and wider fundraising strategy.

Role requirements

• Significant and demonstrable experience of working in a fundraising, grant management or a project management role for a charity, NGO, private or public entity (essential)
• Significant experience of drafting complex proposals for trusts, foundations and statutory institutions and securing multi-year, six and seven-figure grants (essential)
• Experience of successfully managing donor relationships, from cultivation to stewardship encompassing both personal engagement with funders and/or coordinating the input of colleagues from across the organisation (essential)
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with ability to foster positive working relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including and especially with funders (essential)

We are looking for someone who:

· Will be committed to the vision of TEN to work alongside Christians to see lives transformed in the Balkans and Eastern Europe.

• Can lead and develop the financial, operations and data work at TEN.
• Has financial and accounting experience.
• Has a strong understanding of financial planning and principles.
• Has experience of producing financial reports for small organisations.
• Has experience with CRM systems.
• Has experience of managing people.
• Has strong IT skills including proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is able to work to deadlines.

Key tasks will include:

• Financial management of Transform Europe Network.
• Oversight of TEN’s data and CRM systems.
• Management of the Finance Administrator and Communications Officer.
• Oversight of the TEN office and office support services.
• Working with the CEO to help the strategic development of the organisation.
• Deputising for the CEO when required.

In order to perform this role, it is essential that the post holder is in full sympathy with the aims and goals of TEN. To that end he/she must be a committed Christian (able to agree with the organisation’s statement of faith) and able to fully participate in spiritual activities whilst carrying out the responsibilities of Senior Finance and Operations Manager.

The role is hybrid with the expectation that the successful candidate will be able to work in the office three days per week.
