The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Gaining a driving licence greatly enhances their future employability prospects and helps break the cycle of re-offending. Additionally, our UR4Jobs project focusses on both client wellbeing and breaking down the many barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged people every day.

The role

Is an exciting new edition to the TUR team, created to capitalise on the fact that the number of businesses in our catchment area is 45000+, but we’re not trying to talk to all of them, just target a few – ideally by gaining referrals and recommendations. So the job is to proactively find those local businesses happy to talk to us, understand what they might be looking for by partnering with a charity, share our brilliant story along with the business case (which is strong) for them to get involved with us in some way. We have made an excellent start, we already have a small number of great corporate partners, and this job is about taking it all on to the next level. As you would expect the role is about creating contacts, networking, maximising the face-to-face time with prospective partners and where possible gaining referrals. And, ultimately this is all because, the bigger our portfolio of corporate partners all feeling great about their involvement with us, the more able we are to raise the funds we need to keep up with an ever-increasing demand for our services.

About You

You live within - or know well, West/Central London, you probably need a job with some working flexibility and want to have genuine belief in the product or service you’re talking about. You have a CV that demonstrates solid experience in a comparable role in a ‘business-to-business’ environment, a role - the success of which, is dependent on the levels of energy and proactivity you provide. This could be in another charity, CIC or other Non-Profit organisation. However, if you have a solid B2B background and want to explore a change of direction you are also very welcome to apply. You are comfortable and confident with working autonomously, you can articulate and ‘bring to life’ your story through your presentation skills. You also need great listening skills so you can build a picture of what each new corporate partner is looking to achieve by signing up to our cause. You have used Microsoft suite products before – including PowerPoint. A driving licence and use of a car is desirable as the role requires regular client visits, some of whom may not be accessible by public transport.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Officer will craft exciting, engaging digital and social media content that deliver results for a range of audiences. The postholder will create and edit web pages using WordPress and deliver targeted paid-for advertising campaigns in Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads. The new Marketing Officer will act as marketing lead for Hand in Hand’s corporate partners, including social content, drafting blogs, and editing pitches, working closely with the fundraising team.

To be successful, you will have marketing experience either in an in-house, or agency role, with excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills. You will be a competent digital marketer, with experience using digital marketing tools, and design software. Senior Legacy and In Memory Fundraising Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the development, delivery and implementation of the Legacy Strategy to deliver sustainable long-term growth

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit adoption agencies across the UK who specialise in finding homes for children in care. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. The full programme is listed on the CVAA UK website and inlcudes topics such as LGBTQ+ parenting; therapy for children; identity formation; racism and anti-racism; parenting courses; theraplay and many more.

Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the administration and delivery of the programme. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent. We are keen to have someone joiun us as soon as possible.

The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development to ensure that the courses are full, supported, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.

The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. Your role will be to further develop and deliver a range of events and initiatives that the Harlequins Foundation offers to its supporters to help us to raise the funds we need to deliver our programmes. As the charitable arm of the Club, we deliver a variety of programmes aimed at achieving improved outcomes for education and employability, wellbeing and inclusion. The role will play a key part in delivering high-profile fundraising events while building the Foundation’s engagement with different communities and supporter types, being instrumental in delivering campaigns and events to engage new audiences with the Foundation’s purpose.

As a proactive and enthusiastic person, you'll need to be adept at managing multiple projects and events concurrently. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Engagement and within a small Fundraising team, the successful applicant will be responsible for delivering events from Harlequins matchday activations to Foundation fundraising events.

You will develop key relationships within the Foundation and Club’s network of supporters, suppliers and delivery partners and manage a portfolio of events and activities for a range of supporter groups.

The successful candidate will be experienced in planning and delivering a variety of events, ideally within the charity sector with a focus on fundraising. An ability to provide exceptional experiences, catering to different audiences including both sports fans and high-net worth individuals as appropriate. Some weekend and evening working will be required as part of the role.

Key Responsibilites

• Support the development and delivery of a varied portfolio of events and fundraising activities to meet agreed objectives, all of which reflect the spirit of the Harlequins Foundation

• Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience

Role Summary    

This exciting role will enable Alcohol Change UK to reach millions of people across the UK with key messages about alcohol and alcohol harm, delivered through print, online, and broadcast media engagement tactics. With a high level of existing press interest in our work and campaigns (including our flagship Dry January® campaign), this is an exciting moment as we look to develop our proactive media engagement and share reframed stories about alcohol which resonate with a huge audience. Your work will drive significant awareness of our organisation, and ultimately enable millions of people to transform their relationship with alcohol.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities    

Media engagement  

• Manage the organisation’s media inbox and phone line, handling enquiries from journalists and providing responses in a timely manner

• Provide regular out of hours media cover on a rota basis (scaling depending on busier campaign periods, shared fairly with others and TOIL provided for hours worked)

• Develop public media statements and quotes across the whole spectrum of Alcohol Change UK’s work, issuing to press both reactively and proactively

• Provide ongoing development of our key lines library, regularly reviewing responses we have on file for a range of topics 

• Support Alcohol Change UK spokespeople (Chief Executive, Directors and others) prepare for interviews: developing tailored briefings ahead of opportunities, providing a sounding board to rehearse key lines when required and giving feedback on appearances to support ongoing development

• Manage our media database and reporting tools, providing regular condensed reports for the Director of Communications and Marketing/CEO/Board and develop insights-gathering to better inform our media engagement strategy

• With the Director of Communications and Marketing, play a key role in media crisis management, escalating issues as appropriate, suggesting solutions and developing organisational responses to sensitive situations

• Support the deployment of Alcohol Change UK voices, working closely with the Engagement Team to identify Community Champions, Ambassadors and others who are happy to be supported to share their experiences of alcohol and alcohol harm with the media

Developing a new proactive media strategy  

• Plan and deliver a new strategy for generating proactive media coverage, where Alcohol Change UK’s research, campaigns, parliamentary and wider activity connect with larger audiences in a strategic way

• Working closely with teams across the organisation, craft compelling media plans and press releases to generate coverage of our work

• Bring fresh energy to opportunity spotting, securing opinion pieces, expert comment, letters to editors and other ‘newsjacking’ content – particularly on ‘culture change’ topics such as sober shaming and stigma 

• Manage relationships with key journalists in our sector, exploring opportunities for partnerships and exclusives

Campaign media activity  

• Particularly for our flagship Dry January® campaign, and with the support of the Director of Communications and Marketing, develop media support briefs for external media agencies, when required 

• Develop fresh strategies and media angles for annual campaigns (Dry January®, Sober Spring, Alcohol Awareness Week) to keep activity engaging for public and returning audiences

• Think creatively to craft media strategies which are tailored to reach segmented audience groups, aligning with targets for individual campaigns to reach under-served communities 

• Provide detailed campaign media evaluations, insights and learning reports

Key Roles and Duties

In this exciting role you will be responsible for raising unrestricted income from individuals by planning and executing the day-to-day campaigns to recruit, engage and retain supporters through a range of channels.

Strategic Planning and Implementation

Plan, lead, implement, and evaluate strategies to:

Donor Data Analysis and Segmentation

Stewardship and Donor Engagement

Manage donor stewardship to provide personalised and engaging communications, including:

• Producing supporter materials.
• Building a thanking programme that offers a personal and engaging donor experience.
• Collaborating with colleagues to identify individual stories for impactful campaign content.
• Ensure all activities and contacts are managed through the charity’s CRM system.
• Maximise gift aid opportunities.

Campaign and Material Management

Work closely with the Communications Manager to:

• Create campaigns.
• Generate publicity opportunities e.g. radio, newspaper, online etc.
• Engage ambassadors and campaign specific ambassadors.
• Collect and draft beautiful stories, testimonies and case studies that engage supporters.
• Manage the production of supporter materials.
• Assist in developing Mailchimp email marketing and analyse and evaluate user journeys to maximise impact.

 Innovation and Market Trends

Lead the charge in:

• Coming up with new ideas and initiatives to bolster individual giving.
• Managing a continuous cycle of testing for new channels and techniques for acquisition and retention, based on audience insight and sector trends.

 General:

• Collaborate and communicate well with team members and particularly line manager.

Role Requirements

We are looking for the right person to join the team – this could be someone with experience or someone who is willing to learn and has a strong transferrable skill set.

You will have:

• Effective campaign copy writing and ability to translate ideas into design briefs.
•  A minimum level of skill in graphic design (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Canva). 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with diverse audiences in friendly and welcoming way in keeping with WONDER’s approach to empowerment.

Desirable skills and experience:

•  Experience of income generation from direct marketing campaigns (acquisition and/or retention) across a variety of digital channels for acquisition and retention. 
• Experience of project management to deliver acquisition or retention campaigns within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Experience of using databases for targeting, segmentation, testing and response analysis and how to apply these learnings to future campaigns.

The post-holder will oversee income generation from grant-making organisations and ensure timely reporting to funders.

• Drive growth of Trusts and Foundations income especially at the five- and six-figure level, with a particular view to supporting unrestricted income and major projects in the organisation’s pipeline.
• Proactively manage a personal portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, regularly meeting and engaging with prospective funders to pitch proposals and check-in around expectations. 
• Liaise with key internal stakeholders to develop accurate, compelling funding applications in line with deadlines set by funders. 
• Build lasting relationships with funders in order to establish opportunities for multi-year income generation.
• Drive the Trusts and Foundations prospecting process and increase the range of prospects approached for support, utilising prospect research tools and securing introductions from our network.

About the Role

You will lead 2 Business Development Managers directly to deliver a 6-figure team new business target across the country. You will also support the upskilling and support of our Area Fundraising Managers in their local new business endeavours. You will ensure a solid strategy, creative prospecting plan and pipeline management to achieve our agreed targets as well as have your own personal pipeline. You will also support the team in liaising with our national Corporate Partnership team, Marketing teams and more to ensure the team have everything they need to identify, prospect, win and report on new business.

Tearfund is looking for a Senior Legacy Marketing Officer to increase awareness of the opportunity to leave a gift and inspire supporters to take up this opportunity. This role also has responsibility for developing Tearfund's In Memory Giving offer and growing the number and value of these donations.

We are looking for a candidate who:

• has strong knowledge of fundraising or marketing principles and can apply these to Tearfund's legacy programme
• has a clear interest and passion for legacy fundraising, committed to seeing this area of fundraising grow and develop as an engagement opportunity and income stream  
• is able to create and implement a marketing plan that uses resources effectively to achieve agreed legacy fundraising outcomes (e.g. increased reach, awareness, enquiries and pledgers)
• Can lead and motivate other marketing professionals assigned on an agile basis to work on legacy and in memory projects

Role Objective

To work with the Commercial Marketing Manager to drive commercial interest in Kooth Digital Health’s services in the UK healthcare setting by supporting the delivery of multi-channel campaigns, online and in-person events and customer database management.

Responsibilities

Digital Campaign Delivery:

• Working closely with the Commercial Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and logistics of various commercially focused campaigns ensuring deadlines are met and key milestones and metrics are achieved.
• Assist in planning digital marketing campaigns, providing support in defining objectives, identifying target audiences, and coordinating campaign logistics.
• Aid in the management of content on our digital platforms, such as email, social media, and online advertising, by helping with scheduling, monitoring engagement and responding to inquiries.
• Provide assistance in the implementation and management of email campaigns, ensuring proper organisation of workflows and automated drip campaigns, and helping with metric tracking to inform continuous improvement and conversion rate optimisation efforts.
• Support the creation of digital content by collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure materials align with campaign goals and adhere to brand guidelines and tone of voice.

Event Management:

• Assist in planning and coordinating in-person and online events, including conferences, roundtables, seminars and webinars. Travelling domestically and overnight stays will be required on occasion.
• Support logistical aspects of events, such as venue selection, travel arrangement, and coordinating with vendors and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Oversee the creation and preparation of event materials as required for in-person events, and manage the use of tech solutions ensuring seamless technology-driven experiences for our online events.
• Provide on-site support during events, overseeing set-up, managing schedules, and troubleshooting issues to ensure a positive experience for all stakeholders.

Marketing Operations:

• Manage marketing automation platform to streamline and optimise lead nurturing, scoring and campaign execution.
• Integrate and maintain various marketing technologies, ensuring seamless communication and data flow between different systems within the marketing technology stack.
• Develop and implement attribution models to track and analyse the contribution of various marketing channels to lead generation and conversion.
• Marketing Dashboards: Create and maintain marketing dashboards that provide real-time visibility into KPIs and support data driven decision making.

CRM and Database Management:

• Oversee the quality and integrity of marketing data, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information in our CRM system (Hubspot).
• Work with APIs to integrate the CRM with other software solutions (Hubspot, Monday, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and more) enhancing functionality and supporting cross-platform data exchange to map the entire customer journey.
• Integrate the CRM with email marketing to enable personalised and automated email nurture campaigns, ensuring accurate audience segmentation and recipient targeting.

Requirements

Essential:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, communications or equivalent work experience (Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience)
• Demonstrable experience in event management as well as evidence of collaborating with a range of internal and external senior stakeholders to deliver high quality, unique in-person experiences
• Proven track record in a previous digital marketing function with evidence of campaigns/collateral/content that you have created or contributed to and insight into their performance
• Proven track record in developing and executing successful email marketing campaigns.
• Proficient in managing customer relationship and content management systems, preferably HubSpot and WordPress
• Demonstrated experience in utilizing data analytics tools for digital marketing insights.
• Successful execution of multichannel marketing campaigns.
• Experience in implementing CRO strategies to improve campaign performance.
• Proven ability to efficiently manage end-to-end projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing relationships with key stakeholders.

Desired:

• Experience in crafting SEO-optimized content to enhance online visibility.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and its applications in marketing.
• Strong writing skills with a focus on creating compelling and engaging content.
• Experience in planning and executing digital marketing strategies for events.
• Experience in a similar role within health, social care or healthtech is preferred but not essential.
• A good understanding of NHS landscape and mental health service provision in the UK
