Just over a year ago, Children Not Numbers was founded in response to the unprecedented crisis facing Palestinian children in Gaza.

Our UK-based medico-legal NGO was established to be a voice for the most vulnerable and innocent victims: children. We chose the name Children Not Numbers to acknowledge that the dead and wounded are not simply statistics.

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Fundraising Assistant to support our growing and ambitious fundraising team. This diverse role is key to helping us raise vital funds through individual giving, community fundraising initiatives, and challenge events. You’ll support the smooth running of our regular giving programme, handle general fundraising administration and ensure excellent supporter care and team efficiency. 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you:

• Have 1+ years' employment within a charity or NGO, ideally within a fundraising team or an international development organisation.
• Reside in the UK  and hold right to work status
• Are already set up, or are able to set up, in order to fulfil a contractor role (this is not a PAYE employee position)

The Role
Lead on employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, sickness absence, and conflict resolution, ensuring consistent and fair outcomes.
Provide timely and accurate ER advice to managers and staff, ensuring alignment with employment law, internal policies, and organisational culture.
Maintain accurate case records and documentation for all ER matters to support legal
Coach and support line managers in handling complex people management issues with confidence and consistency.
Build trusted relationships with staff and managers to identify and resolve potential employee concerns early.
Liaise with legal advisors when needed, ensuring cases are handled within legal frameworks and risks are minimised.
Lead or assist in the regular review and updating of HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to reflect legislative changes and organisational needs.
Support managers in the consistent application of HR policies, identifying areas for improvement or clarification.

The Candidate
CIPD Level 7 qualified (or working towards) or compensating work experience.
Extensive experience managing employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, and performance matters.
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Line Management experience.
Experience advising managers on complex ER matters and managing sensitive conversations.
Knowledge of policies and procedures relevant to ER, including sickness absence management.
Understanding of the GDPR, DBS and NMC compliance requirements.
Competence with payroll systems, and Microsoft Dffice tools.

The post holder will be based from home, with a requirement to travel to schools and partner sites within Oxfordshire and Wiltshire (predominantly between Brize Norton and Salisbury). Fuel expenses are paid, and travel time is included as part of your working hours. Core delivery time is usually within the school working day and during school term time only. All other working hours can be managed with flexibility by the post holder to ensure that meetings with partners and colleagues, plus administrative tasks, are completed as required. You will be expected to work at least four days a week.

You have a  passion for nature conservation and want to see more scaled up and urgent global action for plants and fungi. About the role

Plantlife pioneered the development of the Important Plant Area (IPA) criteria to identify the best sites of international significance for wild plant diversity – there are now 3,000 globally. These sites have rare and threatened plant species, exceptional botanical richness and threatened habitats. Once identified, IPAs help to target conservation actions and sustainable management of plants.
Plantlife has continued to be a proud advocate of the IPA programme and expanding the network of IPAs and increasing the delivery of management and actions at these sites are now key priorities of the Global Programme’s five-year plan. This has created an exciting opportunity to join the Global team in a new role – Global Important Plant Area Manager – to shape and oversee the strategic development of the IPA programme.
Working with the Head of Global, the postholder will be responsible for strengthening and expanding the IPA programme, building capacity (e.g., through training) and working with partners (e.g., Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew) to increase the number of IPAs identified. As Director of Finance you will lead on all financial aspects of the transtion as the Movement for Reform Judaism and Liberal Judaism merge to form a single unified organsation, Progressive Judaism.  This post will provide crucuial oversight during this period of change, laying foundations for strong financial governance and operational excellence in the new entity.

Role Description

The Programmes Executive plays a key role supporting our community of schools during their time on the programme across the school year. They will support the design and delivery of Bite Back in Schools to ensure the best possible user experience for young people, their teachers and their schools, and to ensure the programme makes the greatest possible impact within the project timeline. 

The Programmes Executive will report to the Programmes Manager, and will work closely with colleagues across Bite Back, in particular with our comms, digital, youth and policy teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship management 

• Provide ongoing support to schools throughout their time on the programme, building strong working relationships with participating schools. 

• Support communication with all schools, providing a point of contact for the coordinator and lead teacher in each school. 

• Support monitoring and evaluation through creation of surveys, ensuring completion of baseline and end of year surveys, and analysis of data submitted (working with our Evaluation Manager).

• Lead the planning, creation, and distribution of our termly newsletter, highlighting school achievements, amplifying youth voices, and inspiring action across our network.

• Provide timely responses to school queries, manage a shared inbox and alert the Programmes Manager of any potential risks.

• Proactively seek feedback from teachers and young people on our programmes 

• Ensure opportunities for schools to engage in at least two one-on-one meetings with our team during the school year.

Community management 

• Celebrate and share examples of best practice and impactful social action projects amongst our community of schools. 

• Deliver training and webinars for schools.

• Manage and grow engagement with school groups through our social media platforms, fostering a sense of community and promoting active participation.

• Grow our movement - supporting the recruitment of future cohorts by promoting the Bite Back in Schools programme, distributing recruitment comms, holding set up calls with interested schools, and guiding schools through the application and enrolment process, working closely with the Programmes Manager on the design of these processes.

Programme delivery 

• Schedule and organise visits to schools, agreeing agendas with the schools in advance to include elements including meeting pupils and teachers, leading feedback sessions and focus groups and supporting the development of their social action campaigns. 

• Schedule and deliver assemblies with schools partaking in the programme.

• Ensure schools submit invoices on time as part of their grant funding, providing support where needed and coordinating with the finance team to ensure prompt processing.

• Book and arrange assemblies, coordinating between schools and our Bite Back Ambassadors.

• Support the School Ambassadors with travel logistics as they deliver assemblies in schools across England and Scotland.

• Maintain and regularly update programme management software and associated data to ensure accurate and up to date information for all participating schools.

• Ensure successful end-to-end support for the 100+ schools participating in the programme throughout the next school year.

Project support 

• Provide support to Programme Manager in the delivery of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope.

• Assist in the delivery of the Local Authority programme, including traveling as needed to facilitate workshops and provide support to the team’s operational requirements.

• Provide support for the primary school pilot programme and contribute to the creation and development of engaging resources tailored for primary school use.

• Provide ad hoc input to evolving organisational requirements as directed by senior team members.

Skills and Experience

We’re looking for a People & Culture Administrator to join our small but dynamic central office team. You'll be the friendly first point of contact for HR queries, supporting everything from recruitment and onboarding to payroll prep and wellbeing initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Keeping employee records accurate and up to date (Planday & SharePoint)
• Supporting recruitment admin and coordinating onboarding and exits
• Helping managers across our sites with job adverts and employment letters
• Preparing and checking data for payroll accuracy
• Coordinating initiatives like Wellbeing Mentors
• Assisting with the administration of the organisation wide performance management processes (including appraisals and supervisions)
• Supporting internal communications, events, and policy rollouts

You’ll be working closely with our People & Culture Officer, Payroll Lead, and local community managers – a great role if you’re looking to gain broad HR exposure in a values-led organisation.

Essential

• Solid admin experience – ideally in HR, payroll, or finance
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident using Microsoft 365 (especially Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams)
• A positive, people-first approach – you're helpful, responsive, and discreet

Desirable

• Experience in a charity or care setting
• Knowledge of Planday or other HRIS systems

HR Project Administrator

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Project Administrator to support the smooth running of the charity’s flexible workforce model, ensuring efficient recruitment, onboarding, and staffing coordination across national services.

About the Role
As HR Project Admin (Flexible Workforce), you will play a key role in supporting the national flexible staffing model. You’ll be responsible for coordinating temporary worker recruitment, managing workforce records, and helping ensure compliance across all casual staffing processes. Working closely with hiring managers, external agencies and the HR and Finance teams, your work will help ensure effective and cost-conscious staffing across services.

This is an exciting opportunity to support a major operational transformation project, gain exposure to senior leaders, and develop valuable HR and project coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities

· Support recruitment and onboarding of bank and agency staff, including compliance and document checks

· Coordinate and monitor the use of the workforce system (CentralAxis), ensuring managers and workers are fully trained

· Maintain accurate and confidential workforce records in line with GDPR and data protection standards

· Support budget monitoring and reporting on staffing ratios, costs, and agency usage

· Help prepare reports, dashboards and presentations on flexible workforce activity

· Resolve staffing issues including absence, rota conflicts and performance concerns, escalating as needed

· Provide general admin support to the HR and project teams, including scheduling meetings, organising files, and minuting key sessions

We’re looking for someone who:

· Has experience supporting HR or recruitment processes

· Is confident using digital systems and managing accurate workforce data

· Has strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build good relationships across teams

· Is highly organised, detail-focused and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
