As Educational Partnerships Manager, you’ll work across Dorset and the South Coast of Hampshire, building partnerships with schools, colleges, youth organisations and community groups-particularly in areas where opportunities are hardest to come by.

Key Responsibilities

A few practical things

MEMBERSHIP AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

ABOUT THE BIA

We have 600+ members at the BIA from a broad spectrum of biotech and life science companies including university spinouts, start-ups to scaling biotech to big pharma, including those that support the sector such as service providers, consultancies, law firms and universities.

We are looking for an experienced BD Manager to join the existing team here at BIA. The primary task is to help build relationships, retain current members, and secure new ones to meet or exceed quarterly and yearly targets.

MAIN PURPOSES OF THIS ROLE:

• To support the Associate Director for Membership and Business Development in building relationships, retaining current members and securing new ones to meet or exceed quarterly and yearly new membership targets
• To coordinate lead development and manage leads process through the entire sales cycle
• To plan and execute targeted business development campaigns working alongside the marketing team to ensure wider promotion
• Lead identification/qualification of potential new members
• To form effective connections with key personnel at member organisations, developing member engagement, event attendance and participation in BIA communities
• To support the development of the BIA business solutions saving programme – both in terms of increasing participation of new and existing members and increasing the range of savings schemes in line with member requirements
• At times, to help manage and organise external event activity including logistics and company engagement in relation to UK and overseas delegations
• To provide administrative support to BD and Membership function
• To work closely with the wider BIA team to deliver the overall membership strategy

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with Associate Director for Membership and Business Development to design campaigns
• Work with wider team to ensure that lead capture through all channels (website, online communications, printed collateral, events, networking etc.) is comprehensive and provides the information necessary for effective follow up
• Work with Associate Director for Membership and Business Development to develop schedules for following up on new member leads and tracking success rates
• Work with contacts at our business solutions partner programmes to develop these schemes further – maximising membership benefit and income for BIA
• Work with Membership team to ensure any issues with renewing members are addressed promptly and to a satisfactory conclusion
• Work with the Sponsorship Manager to pass on leads and to help embed relevant administration
• Gain a strong understanding of all BIA activities/initiatives in order to present the benefits and opportunities of BIA membership to potential and existing members in a professional manner 
• Attend relevant industry and BIA events (UK & overseas) to network and to promote the benefits of BIA membership and build a professional network of contacts. This will include occasional evening and weekend work.
• Regular visits to BIA members offices and external events throughout the UK where appropriate
• Get to know the membership base, and communicate effectively and professionally with member contacts
• Effectively monitor revenue targets (and related budgets) and produce relevant status reports through Dynamics
• Work with Membership team to monitor and keep membership data up to date at all times
• Provide support where needed across the wider team
• Attend internal debtor meetings and chase for outstanding membership payments when necessary

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential Demonstrable Skills:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in consultative sales, business development or membership engagement (including closing sales and understanding CRM principles)
• Efficient and confident networker
• Strong desire to work for a mission driven and purposeful organisation
• Energetic, personable and determined but sensitive approach to uncovering and converting sales and upsell opportunities

This fixed-term role is a great opportunity for an experienced ER specialist who enjoys making things clearer, fairer and easier for managers and colleagues. We’re a big charity with a small well-managed ER caseload, so the focus is less on high-volume casework and more on strengthening the foundations that help people do their best work.

The Individual Giving Manager will lead the development and delivery of the BHWT’s individual giving and supporter development programme, helping to grow sustainable income and build long-term relationships with supporters.

The role combines strategic planning with hands-on fundraising delivery across regular giving, lottery, appeals, legacy giving, in memory fundraising and major donor relations. Working closely with colleagues across the charity, the postholder will enhance supporter journeys, improve donor stewardship, increase recruitment and retention, and identify new opportunities to maximise long-term sustainable income.

• Support the development and delivery of the charity's individual giving and supporter development strategy and annual plans.
• Lead and grow regular giving, lottery, appeals, legacy, in memory and major donor income streams.

Role Purpose

The Supporter Engagement Assistant is responsible for growing support for Bassetlaw Foodbank through partnerships, fundraising and community engagement. The role focuses on developing relationships with local businesses, organisations, volunteers and supporters to increase income, donations, and awareness of the charity’s work tackling poverty.

The post holder will represent the charity in the community, identify new opportunities to expand support and generate income, organise donation drives and events, and manage volunteers.

Outdoor and community-based working will be a regular part of the role, with occasional weekend working required.

Bassetlaw Foodbank (BFB) was established in 2012 to tackle food insecurity across the district of Bassetlaw. Since 2020 the charity has expanded to tackle poverty on multiple fronts, running projects that focus both on the affordability and accessibility of food. We support residents of Bassetlaw who are in crisis, and those at risk of falling into crisis.

Fundraising & Income Generation

About the role

Hours: 22.5 hours a week. We envision working across regular days throughout the week, with flexibility required to be able to attend fundraising and community events and opportunities.

Salary: £16,824 pa. (£28,041 FTE)

Location: The role will be based at Bassetlaw Foodbank’s two offices in Worksop and Retford, but regular travel to events, meetings and other opportunities across the district will be required.

Line Manager: Supporter Engagement Manager

Additional information: Outdoor working and community outreach are regular parts of the role. Some evening or weekend work may occasionally be required to attend events or activities.

This role has been funded The Fore for 12 months, with the likelihood of extension if key targets are met.

Hackney Empire is looking for a new Deputy Technical Manager.

The new role of Deputy Technical Manager will play a critical operational and leadership role within our busy 1,250-seat theatre and additional rehearsal and event spaces. About us

Carers UK is the leading national charity for unpaid carers. The Finance Manager is responsible for the management of the financial accounting functions of the organisation, for the preparation of statutory accounts, regular management reports, the preparation of all tax returns, supporting budget holders and assisting them fulfil their responsibilities, and for compliance with statutory requirements including compliance with tax laws and regulations.
 

About the role

The Finance Manager will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, including the nation offices, supporting and advising, building excellence in standards within the finance office and injecting innovative solutions to the organisation’s financial strategy.
 

About you

We are looking for a proactive and visible finance professional who is able to engage and build relationships across the organisation as a pivotal member within a values led high performing organisation. You will be a qualified accountant with proven track record of financial management awareness and a solid understanding of charity audits and statutory accounts preparation. You will have the ability to work with staff across the organisation in supporting good financial governance and oversight of financial operational matters. You will have the ability to analyse financial information and present this in a suitable format for the audience. You will have good ability to meet deadlines, be IT literate with an emphasis on financial systems, spreadsheets, Quickbooks and Excel. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and be able to work with minimum supervision.

The role will involve the management of the day-to-day financial activities, VAT, gift aid, payroll and the monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation. The job holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Officer and volunteers within the team. There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.

As a Shop Manager for Alder Hey Children’s Charity, you will deliver sales, Gift Aid and profit targets to generate income for our charity. You will empower and lead a diverse shop team, including volunteers, always demonstrating our Charity Values of:

The Shop Manager will be an integral part of the wider Charity team. 

Income Generation

• Accountable for the shop’s performance in relation to all sales targets and Gift Aid targets and KPI’s. Ensuring that the results are communicated to the shop team and that all staff and volunteers are aware of, understand and are working to meet/exceed the agreed targets and KPI’s.
• Actively drive stock generation through community engagement and donor relationships
• Ensure maximum stock availability through effective stock control and shop replenishment.
• Continually review the rotation, quality, and replenishment of stock in order to maximise sales.
• Achieve the optimum price point for all stock items and promotional merchandise for seasonal and window themes, following the principles of Alder Hey Children’s Charity price guidelines.

Staffing and Volunteers

 Your Role in Growing Our Forest Story

As the New National Forests Project Manager, you’ll lead on effective project management of centralised activities for the three new national forests.

Specifically, you’ll manage the centralised reporting of progress, targets and budgets, liaising closely with the programme managers for each new national forest.

About the Role

As an Operations Manager you will oversee the successful running of the West Yorkshire contract ensuring that we are meeting our contractual requirements and continually improving.
