The governance and policy manager is a senior strategic and operational role responsible for leading, coordinating, and strengthening all governance-related functions across World Physiotherapy. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role ensures the organisation consistently meets the highest standards of governance, compliance, transparency, and accountability, in line with its global mission and constitutional framework.
The postholder serves as a key advisor to the CEO, board, and leadership structures, ensuring governance systems are robust, efficient, and appropriate for an international membership organisation. The role works closely with member organisations (MOs), regions, and speciality groups to enhance governance practices, ensure policy alignment, and support coherent decision-making across the global network.
The role also contributes to organisational direction by actively participating in the development and implementation of the World Physiotherapy strategic plan and supporting alignment with regional and other strategic plans.
1. Governance leadership and oversight
- Lead, coordinate, and oversee all governance functions and activities across World Physiotherapy.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with the constitution, bylaws, policies, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Regularly review and update governance frameworks, systems, and processes to align with international best practices.
- Provide authoritative advice and interpretation on governance matters to the CEO, board, and leadership structures.
- Develop and implement governance improvement initiatives to enhance organisational effectiveness and accountability.
- Work collaboratively with the World Physiotherapy development and membership divisions to ensure organisational cohesion and effective delivery of the global mission.
2. Board and executive support
- Support and coordinate the development of high-quality board papers, briefings, and decision-support materials.
- Support the full lifecycle of board meetings, including agenda setting, documentation, logistics, and action tracking.
- Ensure timely circulation of clear, accurate, and structured information to support informed decision-making.
- Maintain and manage official governance records, including minutes, resolutions, and statutory documentation.
- Monitor follow-up actions and ensure implementation of board decisions.
3. General meeting (GM) management
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver all World Physiotherapy global and regional general meetings in accordance with constitutional requirements.
- Develop and manage timelines for GM preparation, including submission, review, and distribution of papers.
- Oversee the drafting and quality assurance of reports, motions, and official documentation.
- Ensure accurate recording of proceedings, decisions, and outcomes.
- Verify compliance with all procedural and constitutional requirements for general meetings.
4. Regional elections coordination
- Plan and oversee regional election processes, ensuring alignment with organisational rules, timelines, and standards.
- Develop and implement clear election procedures and guidance for regions in line with the constitution.

Person specification
Education and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in law, public administration, governance, business administration, international relations, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification (eg master’s degree) in governance, public policy, law, MBA, or related discipline (desirable).
- Professional certification in governance, compliance, or company secretariat (eg Chartered Governance Institute or equivalent) is an advantage.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Programme Manager to lead delivery of Believe in Climate Action (BELIEVE), an ambitious national initiative at the intersection of climate action, youth leadership and community engagement (3 days per week). This role will also support the delivery of the UN Award winning ParliaMentors project, providing mentoring, training and leadership development opportunities to students across the country, and maintaining strong relationships with University partners (2 days per week).
This is a unique opportunity to lead a complex, high-impact programme that connects schools, communities, young people, researchers and policymakers, shaping a more inclusive and effective model of climate action across England. You would be joining a team that has been running impactful projects for 19 years, which centres the voices, needs and potential of young people to bring about change.
The BELIEVE project
BELIEVE in Climate Action (BELIEVE) is an ambitious and innovative national programme led by the Faith & Belief Forum in partnership with the Cambridge Interfaith Programme. Together, we are building a bold new model for climate action, one that connects grassroots communities, young leaders, researchers and policymakers through collaboration, co-learning and shared purpose.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead a pioneering, cross-sector initiative that is reshaping how climate action happens in England. Key Responsibilities
Programme leadership & delivery
· Lead the strategic and operational delivery of BELIEVE across its three interlinked workstreams

Essential Experience
· Significant experience managing complex, multi-partner programmes (ideally national or multi-regional)
· Demonstrable expertise in stakeholder engagement at a senior level, including building and maintaining strong partnerships across sectors
· Strong track record of delivering complex programmes on time and within budget
· Confidence and proven experience in line management (this role will line manage 1 Project Coordinator, and oversee an internship programme of up to 8 paid interns per year)

Senior Legacy & In Memory Marketing Manager - FTC
The gifts in Wills and in memory marketing team is responsible for raising awareness, generating income, and mass stewardship of the incredible people who support the charity in this way. The role of the Senior Legacy and In Memory Marketing Manager is to lead this high-performing team; to set and deliver the strategy to maximise gifts in Wills acquisition, conversions and long-term income; and to implement the transformative new in memory strategy within the team and across the charity.
This is a 9-month FTC or on return of substantive postholder.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Development of Gifts in Wills and In Memory Marketing
· Work with the Head of Legacy and In Memory Giving to define and deliver priorities for the team, including support on developing a new legacy strategy.
· Contribute to the generation of £23m of income annually across gifts in Wills and in memory, working to maintain the pipeline from top of funnel onwards to ensure that this income continues to grow in line with strategic plans.
· Lead annual operational planning and development of legacy and in memory marketing strategies and plans, including making recommendations on team structure and resource.
· Work with the Head of Legacy and In Memory Giving and the Legacy Relationship Manager to ensure continued awareness, alignment and support for gifts in Wills and in memory across the charity.
· Work with the Head of Legacy and In Memory Giving and the Legacy Relationship Manager and Legacy Casework Manager to ensure continued alignment between the work of marketing, case management and relationship management.

Ways of working:

Role Overview:
Responsible for co-ordinating and developing Enable’s Mental Health programmes, including but not limited to Active Wellbeing; both group and personalised one-to-one exercise support for people with a diagnosis of severe mental illness.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating aspects of Enable’s Mental Health programme
s. This includes planning, delivery, identifying areas for development, promotion, and reporting. - Deliver one to one client and community assessments with adults with SMI.
- Actively participate in staff meetings to share best practice and develop thinking, knowledge and learning.
- Identify and build partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders to support the delivery and growth of the programmes.

We’re looking for an Individual Giving Manager (9-month maternity cover) to achieve BMS’ fundraising strategy and goals by stimulating new and repeat donations from individual givers and leading creative innovative fundraising campaigns. You will also lead a small team of two Individual Giving Officers (one full-time and one part-time).
The successful candidate will be a fundraiser with a track record of meeting ambitious fundraising targets. You will develop and deliver an individual giving strategy and employ a range of retention and acquisition techniques. You will manage and oversee BMS’ appeals, regular giving, major donor and community fundraising programmes.
You will quickly build excellent relationships within BMS and with supporters and have a strong commitment to outstanding supporter care. This is an important role, at a critical time in the life of the organisation, and we are looking for a strategic, professional and knowledgeable fundraiser to deliver on our strategy.
This role is a 9 month maternity contract starting early June 2026 to early March 2027. This role can be hybrid with flexibility but would need to attend the Didcot office in agreement with your line manager.
The successful applicant will be a committed Christian. The nature of this role means that this is a specific occupational requirement.

Role Purpose
- Provide advice and guidance on a wide range of employee relations issues
- To keep up to date with changes to legislation and best practice and implement these within the organisation
- Lead on employee relations casework including (but not limited to) dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy
- Lead on and develop the HR related policies and processes within the organisation
- Lead on the work we do around our culture, accessibility and inclusion
- Lead on the learning and development of our employees and workers
