An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Education Team. This role will require the successful candidate to support an integrated and holistic approach to education, health and care, work under the direct supervision of an allocated teacher / senior specialist teaching assistant, support access to learning and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils in learning opportunities and to assist the teacher in providing relevant support for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex therapeutic, medical and health needs.

Role Requirements
STL1 – Provide support for Learning Activities set by Classteacher & Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant
- To support learning activities for individual, groups or whole classes of pupils, leading activities under the direction of the teacher or Senior Teaching Assistant supporting the teacher in their delivery of lessons.
- To demonstrate our School Ethos and Pupil Charter throughout the School day.
- Holistically integrate education, health and care needs.
- Evaluate and record procedures for learning activities.
- To know individual learning targets for each pupil in the group(s) and take specific action to enable individual pupil goals be achieved.
- To attend to the general care, maintenance and storage of classroom equipment.
STL 2 – Support Children’s Development
- Observe pupils, sharing observational findings, contribute to the implementation of activities to support development.
- Actively contribute towards record-keeping particularly in respect of pupil learning, therapeutic interventions, behaviour management, child protection and any other specific programme set up for individual pupils by the teacher / Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant / Therapist.
STL 3 – Help to keep Children Safe
- Undertake annual safeguarding training.
- Adhere to the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures and policies. Recording incidents pertaining to pupil safety, including for illness, accidents and incidents, accepting that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that ‘it could happen here’.
- Read relevant documentation / mandatory reads in relation to Keeping Children Safe In Education.
- Report any signs and indicators of possible abuse, being sensitive to the child/young person and circumstances, Identifying, report and record changes in behaviour and physical signs.
- Be aware of and follow plans, risk assessments and record keeping pertaining to individual pupils, including care plans, health care plans, feeding plans, moving and handling and behaviour management plans, actively engaging in relevant training and competencies offered to ensure that you are able to support in keeping all pupils in the class safe.
- Ensure safe transport for all pupils in the class for off site visits.

- Carry out moves and changes of position taking account of the individual’s needs, preferences and their advice on the most appropriate methods and equipment.
- Use moving and handling methods appropriate to the individual’s condition, your personal handling limits and the equipment available.
- Move and change individual’s positions in ways which minimise pain, discomfort and friction and maximise the individual’s independence, self-respect and dignity.
- Observe, record and immediately report any significant changes in the individual’s condition when you are moving them.
- Record details of methods of moving and handling which the individual finds acceptable according to legal and organisational requirements.

We support students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access top universities, through a unique combination of tuition and in-school mentoring. We work with them to make good applications, get the grades and transition to university. About the role
This role is available at an important time for The Access Project as we expand our mission, seek to pilot a new programme model, and move into new school contexts. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the skills for programme improvement, a strong interest in research, and a deep passion for our mission to support students to place and succeed at selective universities.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who is comfortable working across teams to make change. You’ll be the lead and expert on The Access Project’s in-school university readiness work with responsibility for designing and quality assuring the provision, supporting the learning and development for our school-based staff to effectively deliver the programme content. This position is integral to ensuring The Access Project is delivering a high-quality programme that supports the needs of our students and drives the outcomes of the programme across all regions and schools. The postholder will also be responsible for amplifying The Access Project’s voice in the sector and responding to policy updates; with a focus on bringing their knowledge of the Higher Education sector and the experiences of our students to decisions about the direction of our own programme. They will also support further development of our programme-level Diversity and Inclusion work, to ensure that the programme is tailored where feasible to the needs of all students.
Duties and responsibilities
1) Design & Development
- Act as a senior collaborator to the annual programme design process. Work with the Head of Process Improvement & Programme Quality to incorporate University Access Officer, Programme Leadership, school, and student feedback on how best to drive our short term and long-term outcomes across our programmes.
- Project manage the implementation of changes driven out of programme design. This includes the creation of or changes to delivery resources and training materials, as well as to our university readiness framework and the Salesforce system that supports delivery.
- Work with Programme Managers to understand their delivery challenges, develop solutions and answer questions around university admissions, widening access and The Access Project’s own University Readiness Programme.
- Act as a senior contributor to the development of The Access Project’s programmatic Diversity and Inclusion work, working closely with the University Access Officer D&I Lead. This includes strong engagement with the D&I working group and designing and implementing systems and support to better serve our students with inclusion needs.
2) Research and Policy
- remain critically engaged with the widening participation/social mobility sector, and able to synthesise key changes/challenges and ensure that they are applicable/actionable by the organisation.
- Ensure that any relevant widening participation sector developments and trends are fed into The Access Project’s way of working. For example, this might be changes to resources for the programme or working with colleagues to communicate with students (e.g. on plans for A Level Results Day).
- To be an ambassador of The Access Project’s work and impact externally in the widening participation sector, including speaking at conferences, writing articles on our work, and engaging in external relations.
- Holding responsibility for The Access Project’s policy and research workstream, including contributing to the strategic direction of this work and undertaking research to drive the delivery of this workstream to promote The Access Project’s voice in the widening participation sector.
- Liaising closely with the Communications team to ensure that The Access Project’s responses to sector information and updates are timely and relevant to our Mission.
- Provide nuanced insight about the widening participation/Higher Education sector, with a clear take / coherent view on the landscape and how it’s changing, which would then enable us to make informed choices about our programme.
3) Quality Assurance
- Take responsibility for the operational implementation of the university readiness strand of the quality assurance strategy, to drive the quality of the activities The Access Project delivers to young people in schools.
- Participate in The Access Project’s quality assurance processes, including performing drop-ins on University Access Officers’ programme delivery, and coordinating with other members of the team to perform drop-ins in an efficient and effective manner.
- Embed learning from The Access Project’s quality assurance process into our standard practice. This will include delivering training and development sessions for University Access Officers, updates to resources and guidance for what best practice looks like.
- Contribute research on wider pedagogical best practice into our quality assurance work to ensure the highest quality in our delivery of educational programmes.
4) Student Voice
- Maximising student voice within programme design through the organisation and facilitation of student Delivery Review Meetings.
- Lead the development and administration of The Access Project’s annual student survey, considering the needs of key stakeholders across the organisation.

Blue Marine Foundation is seeking a Programme Manager who will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Convex Seascape Survey and lead relations with the project’s funder. This role may suit someone from a corporate or account management background, preferably local to London or the southeast and willing to travel internationally as needed. The Convex Seascape Survey is two years into a five-year, multi-million-pound pioneering research project working to quantify and understand blue carbon stored in the coastal ocean floor and its potential to help mitigate climate change. Convex Seascape Survey is a partnership between Blue Marine Foundation, Convex Insurance Limited and the University of Exeter, delivered in partnership with a consortium of over sixteen other organisations.
Project management
· Lead the project management process, matched to the project grant agreement, including oversight of project finance and all deliverables.
· Coordination of project partners to ensure activities and deliverables are achieved in keeping with quarterly milestones.

We are seeking a qualified Specialist ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) to join our Advocacy team at Respond. The role includes providing pro-active emotional, practical and advocacy support for adults with learning disabilities and autistic people with complex or multiple needs who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging, (or considering engaging) with the criminal justice system. The ISVA will work across London to provide non-judgmental, trauma-informed emotional support, working in partnership with other London sexual violence support services.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in the ISVA role as well as a friendly and relational approach to working with clients. You will have the ability to build trusting relationships, work in an empowering and inclusive way and support clients to heal following sexual abuse and develop coping capacity. You will be a self-motivated individual who will engage with a wider range of people who have experience sexual violence, and other barriers to justice.

Sense are in search of a Trusts and Statutory Manager to join our fantastic engagement team based in London. The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering Sense’s strategy to reach 50,000 people with complex disabilities by 2026. Central to this strategy is our plan to deliver growth in our charitable projects and to build several new multi-million-pound hubs in Belfast, Leeds, and the Southwest. These hubs will significantly increase the number of people who can access our services, helping to bring forward the day when no-one is left of life.
Sense has a strong track record in Trusts fundraising over several decades. We have recently secured several 6 and 7 figure statutory partnerships, and we have talented colleagues in post, but there is room to grow, and Sense is investing. This year, we have also welcomed new corporate, major donor, prospect research, and special events colleagues to the team, and this new role is part of the same planned investment.
This is a full-time, either hybrid or homebased, permanent role, working between home and our offices in King's Cross as required. We are open to hearing from candidates who want to work 5 days or 4 days a week
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a robust portfolio of prospects and supporters to meet income targets
- Research and identify potential funders for unfunded Sense projects/concepts
- Work closely with key stakeholders, sector partners and leadership to grow pipelines, this includes monitoring of Trusts, Foundations and Statutory funding portals
- Lead on funding applications to a range of Trusts, Foundations and Statutory funders, including coordinating inputs, writing narrative applications and application budgets
- Lead or support the grant management of key Trusts, Foundations and Statutory funders’ grants. This includes: ensuring compliance against contracts, quality assurance, and submission of funder reports
Skill, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Experience of generating income and achieving financial targets in a high value role
- Experience of working with a Trusts and Foundations pipeline, or a Statutory pipeline, making sure opportunities are identified, recorded, and taken forward
- Direct experience of developing and submitting six figure plus proposals for Trusts Foundations, Statutory funders, or equivalent
- Experience of working with Senior Volunteers and/or Leadership to engage prospects and supporters
- Able to write strong, persuasive narrative for six figure plus proposals and reports
- Able to communicate with passion and clarity
- Comfortable representing the organisation and developing new leads and relationships

They will play a key role in helping to develop new services and where appropriate will take operational control of these.
About the Role
The Head of Service post holder will take the lead responsibility (under Ofsted registration) as the Adoption Manager of Coram IAC. They will ensure the ongoing delivery of an outstanding VAA that is fully compliant with national minimum standards and regulations; and ensuring high quality adoption support and a sufficient supply of adopters that reflects the diversity of the countries they are adopting from.
Applying to adopt in the UK is open to anyone already in the process with Coram IAC but we do not actively recruit domestic adopters like other VAAs. Approved Intercountry Adopters may however request to change their approval advice to the UK if they are considered a suitable match for children available and waiting for permanence through Adoption in the UK.
Coram IAC predominantly serve prospective adopters from the global majority and as such recruit and train a highly diverse and skilled group of adopters to enable the best outcomes for children whilst also offering adopter and sector diversity for potentially harder to place children. We’re looking for an experienced prospect researcher with strong analytical skills and an excellent knowledge of the global philanthropic space to join our Private Sector Fundraising team. You will be joining a growing major gifts programme with ambitious goals and a strong new business focus.
Someone with prospect research experience in a global health, scientific or medical non-profit setting, and the ability to move comfortably between the worlds of research and philanthropy and to identify opportunities beyond the obvious will be ideal.
Specific responsibilities focus on:
- Assist in developing a proactive and growth-focused prospect research strategy that aligns with DNDi's fundraising plans and strategic priorities.
- Contribute to developing a visibility strategy for DNDi through the identification and tracking of prizes and relevant philanthropic and global health conferences.

- Master’s degree or equivalent with a Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in prospect research experience or a strong equivalent (eg other roles within fundraising) for international NGOs, scientific organisations or organizations with global public health relevance. Some experience with medical research or neglected tropical diseases would be highly regarded.
- Someone who is driven and able to work effectively in a remote team environment and matrix structure
