The Central Funding and Charity Management Team are based in the City Bridge Foundation but work across the City of London’s different functions. In addition, the Team manages 6 Charities on behalf of the City of London and has a Charity policy and governance remit across the whole City of London charity portfolio.
The Team oversees the CIL Neighbourhood Fund, Proceeds of Crime Act Funding and the Central Grants Programme and manages 6 charities on behalf of the City of London that provide funding across a variety of initiatives.
You will assess applications to the CFCMT working across a variety of grant programmes including a significant strategic grant initiative for two City of London Charities. You will support the Teams evolving ‘Funder Plus’ offer and implementing a ‘total assets approach’ to use the full range of funding, knowledge, networks and expertise available through City Bridge Foundation and the City of London Corporation; and make recommendations to Members to guide their funding decisions.
You will manage an interesting and diverse portfolio of funding agreements and ensure that the monitoring and evaluation are carried out; distilling any learning from the portfolio in line with the Units commitment to Learning and Impact.

AAFDA was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.
Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. Most of these families suffer significant problems including relationship breakdown, job difficulties/loss and mental and physical health issues. We help these families in many ways, our prime function being to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.
AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) is a growing Charity and to meet the demands of this growth, we are looking for exceptional candidates to join our team in a highly rewarding opportunity. manage families’ expectations of the legal and procedural processes facing them by supporting families in meetings with agencies such as health, police and local authorities.
give families practical help on a wide range of issues - including help with letter writing or advocating with employers and local authorities on the families’ behalf.
Support AAFDA in our bringing families together in AAFDA’s peer support events, such as the Hear Our Voice weekend and the on-line peer support Zoom sessions, where families can speak with others to share their experiences and stories. This will involve occasional evening work.

AFRIL’s Casework and Advocacy Service is a busy, professional team of 4 caseworkers (3 FTE) , a Community Activities Coordinator, and a number of volunteers. The team has grown significantly in the last 3 years, in response to the needs of our community and due to recognition of AFRIL’s high quality and relevant casework provision. The Casework and Advocacy Service provides AQS accredited complex casework and advice in the areas of Asylum Support, Housing, Benefits and Community Care. The service works to fill the gap, focusing on supporting those with complex vulnerabilities requiring wrap around support. AFRIL takes its services to where clients are; holding regular casework drop-in’s at asylum support hotels, community centres and at Lewisham Foodbank. AFRIL is also recently accredited by the Immigration Advice Authority to provide advice at Level 1, in both Immigration and Asylum and is currently in the process of becoming accredited at Level 2.
AFRIL’s Casework and Advocacy service uses casework trends and data to work with community members in order to engage in policy and systemic change. Utilising casework and community co-production, the service has created sector wide resources on asylum support, engaged in strategic litigation and successfully influenced local, pan-London and national policy outcomes. This is a growing area of work for the service and the successful Casework Manager will be required to balance high quality casework outputs and management of a team, while working closely with the Executive Director on emerging policy and advocacy work.

Allotment of Refuge - a welcoming community of food growers that supports improved health, wellbeing and integration of members, whilst protecting the local environment.

The Team

ABOUT TRAIN
TRAIN is a youth work charity based in South Oxfordshire. We support young people aged 10 to 18 in Didcot, Wallingford and the surrounding areas, especially those who are under-served.
Young people in our communities are facing complex challenges. Mental health struggles, pressures at school, family instability and the impact of poverty can leave them feeling isolated or overlooked. Too often, they don’t have access to the right support at the right time. TRAIN exists to change that. We offer trusted relationships with adults outside positions of authority, safe spaces where young people can be themselves, and opportunities to grow in confidence, make positive choices and feel part of their community.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a key support role in a small, values-driven charity. While most people know TRAIN for its youth work, the smooth running of our organisation depends on good systems, clear admin and reliable behind-the-scenes support. That’s what this role is about.
As Charity Support Officer, you’ll take care of the day-to-day admin that keeps us organised, while also supporting projects and events that help TRAIN grow. Some responsibilities are regular — such as finance processing, HR and volunteer onboarding, responding to enquiries and keeping records accurate. Others will vary week to week, from preparing a funder report to liaising with contractors on a website update or helping coordinate the Didcot Youth Festival.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, adaptable and comfortable juggling different tasks. You won’t be expected to lead major projects or make big decisions, but you will be the first port of call for the small, steady tasks that make a big difference. If you enjoy variety, value attention to detail, and want to play a part in supporting life-changing youth work, this role could be a good fit.
This is a part-time role of 15 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly. The role is based in Didcot or Wallingford with hybrid working. We expect at least some office time each week, but for exceptional candidates, we will consider a fully remote arrangement.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Core (day-to-day focus)
- Communications and enquiries – be the first point of contact for general enquiries via email and social media, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Project coordination and events – Coordinate various ad hoc projects (e.g. website refresh, new systems) and provide support for events such as the Didcot Youth Festival.
- HR and volunteer support – coordinate onboarding for staff and volunteers, including references, DBS checks and inductions.
- Office and building liaison – help keep the Didcot youth centre running smoothly by liaising with the landlord/service manager and handling facilities needs.
- Team support – provide admin support across the CEO, staff and trustees, including scheduling, minute-taking and document preparation.
Important (regular, but secondary to the above)
- Finance administration – support the CEO and our bookkeeper with tasks such as processing invoices, expenses, payments and payroll information.
- Data and monitoring – keep records up to date (attendance, impact data, safeguarding logs) for accurate reporting.
- Comms basics – work with the Fundraising and Communications Coordinator to update the website, draft newsletters and prepare supporter updates.
- Database and records – maintain supporter, volunteer and young people’s contact details.
- Policies and procedures – keep master copies organised and flag review dates.
- Health & safety admin – support with risk assessments, building checks and first aid supplies.
Occasional (as needed)
- Fundraising support – assist with funder reports, donor thank-yous and admin for community events.
- Safeguarding admin – support the Designated Safeguarding Lead with record-keeping and DBS renewals (admin only).
- Governance support – assist with trustee papers, annual returns and filings.
- Supplies and logistics – order office supplies, consumables and manage petty cash/card reconciliation.
- IT and systems – liaise with IT suppliers on logins, backups or new staff accounts.
- Insurance/licensing renewals – track renewal dates and ensure processes are followed.

This is a strategic and creative role at the heart of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People’s national fundraising and engagement efforts. The post holder will lead the development and delivery of national community and challenge event programmes across all four UK regions (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland).
Using strong project and campaign management skills, the role will grow existing initiatives charity owned initiatives such as the Great British Dog Walk and the 28 Challenge and develop new, audience-led campaigns that inspire public participation, drive fundraising, and deepen long-term engagement with the charity.
In addition to the owned initiatives, the role will promote Hearing Dogs for Deaf People to participants of external national events such as The Great North Run or the London Marathon.
The ultimate objectives are to drive income generation and guide supporters from initial involvement to becoming volunteers for the broader work of the charity and legacy pledgers.

The postholder will act as a subject matter expert in statutory health datasets and data integration, while also contributing to Rethink’s wider ambition to demonstrate leadership in mental health data innovation.
How you will make a difference
This is a strategic, delivery-focused role designed to lead Rethink Mental Illness’s work on the national Mental Health Services Dataset (MHSDS). The postholder will manage a pioneering project to design and implement data flows from Rethink alliances – including Open Mental Health in Somerset and Synergy in Sheffield – into the MHSDS. Our alliance model is aligned with the government’s neighbourhood health agenda – enabling the NHS to work in a fully integrated way with a range of community based and grassroots organisations. Ensuring that data flows from these organisations is critical.
The role will build a robust data model, work directly with voluntary sector partners to understand their CRM systems, and develop automated submissions that ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Beyond compliance, the postholder will position Rethink Mental Illness as a sector thought leader by creating a replicable model that enables voluntary sector data to be integrated into national reporting – an ambition that has not yet been achieved elsewhere.
