In this exciting new Digital Communications Manager role, you will take the lead in the development and execution of Whizz Kidz’s social media strategy and calendar. You will plan and create multimedia content for social media and our website, focussing on telling the stories of our beneficiaries and fundraisers.
We are looking for an excellent writer with a passion for finding and telling the stories that exist within Whizz Kidz. You will have significant experience in managing engaging social media accounts and be confident producing multimedia content.

Key accountabilities
Social media
• Develop and manage the social media strategy for Whizz Kidz
• Manage the day-to-day social media calendar and posting across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, ensuring a consistent stream of content that generates engagement
• Evaluate social media performance and recommend potential new strategies and platforms
Content creation
• Develop and edit multimedia content for social media and the website
• Identify and tell the stories of our beneficiaries and fundraisers
• Write news and announcements for the website
• Work with teams across the organisation to ensure content and collateral is up-to-date and optimised across print and digital channels
PR and media management
• Write and distribute press releases
• Manage and triage media enquiries

The responsibilities of the Client Finance Manager will include:
- Delivering budgets and forecasts for each client, property and tenancy, using complex data from the MRI Horizon general ledger and other systems, Hyperion and Excel tools to provide accurate and meaningful financial information
- Being accountable for financial control over property services accounting, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction by providing accurate forecasting, explanations and billing
- Maintaining a focus on process improvement, including planning and establishing new systems and processes for quarterly financial reporting to ensure clients understand their costs and bills, delivering an ongoing service that meets and exceeds expectations
- Being the key liaison between senior finance and property staff for client meetings, involving being acutely aware of the customers’ needs and acting upon them, and being proactive in problem solving and finding solutions
- Leading the service delivery to clients alongside management accountants and other colleagues, supporting the growth of the GPA, and matching resources to client demand

Key Skills & Experience
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel skills and able to manipulate complex data sets.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyse and interpret significant amounts of financial data
- Ideally, have experience in client finance, including reporting to clients, managing systems and processes, working in partnership with clients to deliver results
- Experience with property management systems such as MRI Horizon, Yardi Voyager, or similar systems, in addition to Excel and PowerBI (or similar) for financial reporting is desirable

About you

About the role

There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis. Our Philanthropy team at ClientEarth is growing! Come and join this passionate team and play a key role in building meaningful relationships that power our mission. The Philanthropy team is key to securing unrestricted income and supporting the organisation to achieve financial resilience. You will manage a diverse portfolio of supporters, including trusts, foundations, corporates, and individuals while growing our mid-level giving programme and building a strong pipeline of future donors.
Meet your Manager
In this role you will be managed by Sebastien De Menthon who is a Philanthropy Manager and joined ClientEarth in 2022, based in London. Sebastien discovered ClientEarth while studying anthropology and law at university. The high-leverage legal approach to achieve tangible progress on the climate and biodiversity crisis was immediately appealing. Since joining ClientEarth as a Philanthropy Officer, Sebastien has progressed to the Philanthropy Manager position where he supports and oversees two members of the Philanthropy Team. He has found that working in the Philanthropy Team has been a fantastic way to support ClientEarth's mission while learning about the world and developing skills in relationship management and communication.
Main Duties
- Actively manage donor relationships across assigned portfolio of largely UK supporters with first class stewardship and reporting to secure renewals and uplifts of approximately £500,000 pa.
- Support with oversight of engagement with supporters ranging from £10,000 - £50,000. Galvanise and coordinate the European Philanthropy team to identify opportunities to uplift giving and ensure all supporters feel valued.

The Role;
- Provide a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment that meets the physical, health, social needs and rights of the young people. This will include supporting less experienced staff via positive and effective teamwork to achieve high quality standards of care that are set and agreed by the Registered Manager on behalf of the Trust. This work will aim to respect and promote the needs of each young person arising from their racial, cultural and religious background.
- Assist with the assessments of need and formulation of plans. This involves working in partnerships with other agencies and taking into account the wishes and feelings of the young people, their parents and other persons with parental responsibility, in line with legislation pertaining to the young people.
- Maximise educational opportunities and achievements for the young people looked after within the unit by assisting in identifying, establishing and supporting educational provision and contributing to educational reviews.
- Undertake primary responsibility for key working at least one young person of a more complex nature.
- Undertake the supervision of less experienced residential staff and/or ancillary staff in accordance with Together Trust Policies & Procedures as directed by the Registered Manager.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of the shift rotas.
