About Services and Partnerships

​This role sits within the services and partnerships directorate.

Our focus is on delivering practical guidance and support which matters most to charities and voluntary organisations across the UK. We do this through practical support, training, consultancy and by developing partnerships with funders and businesses which are committed to supporting the sector.

​Each year, we deliver hundreds of training courses on the topics that matter most to charities, reaching thousands of learners across England. Our work supports organisations of all sizes and has a wide-reaching impact across the charity sector. The insights we gain also inform and shape NCVO’s policy priorities.

The training team includes two Senior Training Officers and a Training Assistant, and is supported by colleagues in our Business Support team.

The HLA provides learning opportunities that help the humanitarian sector become more locally led, reaching over 450,000 learners in 190 countries. About the role

As the HLA Sales Lead, you will lead and manage commercial activity for HLA-Enterprise (HLA-E), driving the growth and diversification of income streams by selling our innovative learning products and services to individuals and organisations in the humanitarian and development sectors.

You will be responsible for acquiring new partners and renewing and expanding existing ones. This involves identifying opportunities, working closely with HLA teams to create awareness of our offer, converting enquiries, upscaling partnerships, and building a strong portfolio of clients for Kaya and other e-learning solutions. You will also play a key role in building partnerships across Save the Children and the wider sector, ensuring the financial sustainability of HLA and supporting its strategic direction.

In this role, you will:  

• Deliver on HLA-E sales strategy to diversify and increase HLA-E income streams, ensuring delivery of agreed targets and business growth
• Ability to ensure clear and timely reporting of the sales performance.
• Support the development of a new go-to-market strategy to grow HLA's commercial revenue from products and services, working to set and achieve agreed income targets for 2025-2027.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities in the e-learning market for HLA's solutions, products, and services, ensuring a robust prospect pipeline.
• Responsible for all Kaya & HLA-E sales, account management of clients and pitching for new clients/audiences and on-going client management.
• Enhance the customer journey to improve conversion rates, managing key performance metrics such as income, profitability, and return on investment.
• Build and manage relationships with potential customers and partners by working closely with HLA colleagues across various functions.
• Explore innovative funding mechanisms that provide mutual benefits for the HLA and donors, such as social investment.

About you  

We are looking for someone with the following experience, competencies and skills:

Our employability team deliver a suite of careers focused programmes and activities to school and university aged young people. This includes Pathways to Law, Pathways to Banking and Finance and Pathways to Engineering, each providing young people with support and expertise in accessing higher education/apprenticeships, work experience opportunities, and skills development. Each programme hosts a national residential conference, giving students the chance to live and learn in a university environment. During the conferences our students have the opportunity to network with industry professionals, take part in a range of skills sessions and project, receive expert guidance on studying and careers, and experience university life through social activities and overnight stays in student halls.

We’re looking for a highly organised individual with a proven track record in event management to lead on the delivery of our residential conferences. Alongside our in-person residential activities this role will also coordinate some online activity for the Pathways to Medicine programme and a lead on a range of projects designed to enhance the impact of the Sutton Trust employability activities.

The post will report to our Senior Programmes Manager for Employability, working closely with the wider employability team, including line management of an intern/assistant and matrix management of team members when required.

Main duties

Designing and delivering the Trust’s residential conferences, currently one event per year for each Pathways programme (Law, Banking & Finance, and Engineering). This includes

• Organising and managing event logistics, such as venues, catering, facilities and accommodation
• Designing activities, content and timetables in line with the programme Theory of Change
• Ensuring residential conferences are risk assessed and run in accordance with latest health and safety guidelines
• Ensuring all activities are planned and delivered in line with safeguarding polices and best practice standards, maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all participants
• Overseeing all residential conference administration and pre-event processes, including attendee selection, communications, and requirement gathering
• Managing relationships and coordinating delivery with multiple programme stakeholders including university partners, employers, session facilitators and volunteer speakers
• Managing the residential programmes budget
• Line management of the Employability intern/ assistant, and effectively delegating work for other support staff as required

Responsibility for onsite delivery of each residential conference, this will include:

• Overseeing events of between 90 – 150 students, including multiple overnight stays
• Being the primary contact for staff, volunteers and partners
• Overseeing the recruitment, onboarding, training and management of temporary conference staff; managing staff teams of up to 70 people
• Ensuring all activities and events are run on time and on schedule
• Responding to student concerns and pastoral issues
• Ensuring the appropriate training and staff are in place to embed a proactive safeguarding culture at all events

Further year-round responsibilities will include:

• Co-ordinating additional online events and activities across the suite of Pathways programmes, including Pathways to Medicine
• Contribute to the annual safeguarding review and improvement process led by DSOs
• Lead on a range of employability related projects focused on enhancing the impact of our employability initiatives.
• Managing the MEAL (monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning) and reporting process for residential and relevant online activities
• Modelling best practise in utilising the Trust’s CRM system and data sharing portal - including suggesting changes to drive efficiencies and data collection
• Other duties as necessary from time to time

Person Specification

We welcome applications from individuals who have experience in:

• Designing and managing large scale events - for over 100 delegates across multiple days
• Leading young person-facing events and activities, including awareness of best practice in supporting student needs
• Leading on robust and responsive processes for safeguarding young people, ideally in a residential setting
• Managing relationships with both contracted and voluntary delivery partners as well as diverse stakeholders
• Managing and delegating work to a team of staff to achieve delivery outcomes
• Problem solving and adapting to achieve goals
• Monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement of process and delivery
• Budget management
• Delivering online events and activities (desirable)
• Working within or an understanding of the not for profit sector;

• Is sympathetic to the aims of the Trust and its mission to address educational disadvantage
• Demonstrates a high degree of initiative and leadership when delivering projects and events

Terms of Appointment

Battersea has recently approved a new 5-year organisational strategy to deliver an even greater impact for dogs and cats through our Prevent, Support and Care activity. The role is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to visitors while in the process of serving food and beverages.

As a member of the Food and Beverage Team (F&B Team), you will deliver outstanding customer service to a broad range of customers. You will assist in the effective operation of the F&B offer in a variety of duties. This will include, but are not limited to, basic food and beverage preparation, maintaining presentation standards and supervised kitchen tasks. You will endeavour to maximise sales so that the profit can be reinvested in the conservation work of Gloucestershire.

Summary

We are looking for a highly organised and experienced HR Manager to lead and manage all aspects of human resources within Harris Garrard Academy. This pivotal role encompasses recruitment, payroll administration, staff welfare, compliance, and governance support.

Your responsibilities will include:

Role summary

The Minster Centre is a small, friendly organisation and the Reception Manager needs to be an adaptable and flexible person who enjoys teamwork within a continuously evolving environment. Background

The Minster Centre is a registered charity based in Queens Park, London NW6 that trains psychotherapists and counsellors and provides an accessible therapy service. As an accredited higher education organisation, we provide in-person and online courses throughout the week and weekend. The Minster Centre provides a psychotherapy and counselling service to the local community and has a number of rooms that are hired out for therapy, training, and events.

The Reception Manager is a critical and central role at The Minster Centre, providing a welcoming service to students, room hirers, therapy clients and staff members that is efficient and aligned with The Minster Centre’s Ethos. As part of this role, you will provide first-line support to tutors and students as well as undertake administrative duties crucial to the running of the Centre. You will also provide support to other staff members where appropriate.

Job summary

The ideal candidate will have previous administration and front of house experience to help ensure that all building users (students, room hirers and clients) are welcomed, that the building is available and set up for training and therapy services, and that the building is closed and secured at the end of the day. Furthermore, they would be organised, have excellent IT skills and knowledge and, ideally, practice of using Zoom. They will have the ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure. In addition, they will be able to work autonomously on various tasks and work well in a team. This is a great opportunity for someone with relevant transferable skills to develop those skills further.

Duties and responsibilities

Oversee and manage the Reception Team

• Ensure Reception is always covered by organising a reception rota that covers absence, holidays, etc.

General management of Reception

• Receive and welcome visitors.
• Co-ordinate access to the building, opening and closing of the building.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Order stationary and other supplies as requested.
• Manage petty cash.
• Keep the reception area tidy.
• Ensure there are adequate supplies of daily refreshments and organise catering for specific events.

Event and training support

• Set up for events and assist with special or evening events when requested.
• Organise and keep track of First Aid and Fire Marshal trainings.

Administration

• Manage the room booking system, including the processing of invoice figures in communication with Finance Assistant/Credit Controller.
• Deal with room booking enquiries and bookings for events.
• Answer, screen, and forward incoming telephone calls, and provide basic information when needed.
• Undertake data entry tasks, or similar, in quiet periods.
• Deal with customer queries or complaints politely and positively.

Facilities

• Work with the Facilities and Membership Manager to source and organise suppliers to meet the various facility needs of the building.
• Ensure that the building has adequate cleaning by working with the Facilities and Membership Manager in communication with Total Clean.
• Conduct daily spot checks of the building and report any significant problems to Facilities and Membership Manager.
• Undertake small repairs of damaged equipment or fixings.

IT support

• Field/triage general IT Support emails with the IT Team.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues on site.
• Support tutors and office staff with basic Office apps, Moodle, Zoom queries (support and training can be provided).
• Provide IT support for tutors facilitating Zoom teaching sessions including troubleshooting.
• Manage tutor Zoom accounts.
• Schedule Zoom sessions.

Student support and progression 

• Ensure that students are enrolled on courses and set up on systems accurately.
• Manage the re-enrolment process between academic years. 
• Oversee the recording of student progression. 
• Liaise with and support the Operations Team in organising the annual Graduation event and ensuring all eligible students receive timely information.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room.
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.

Training the Asssistant Coach [10%]

In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of our High Value and Professionals strategy for Legacies, creating compelling experiences that resonate with key audiences, enhance lifetime value, and help fulfil CRUK's commitment to pioneering research. You'll work in close partnership with colleagues across Philanthropy and Supporter Relationship Management to ensure our strategy is executed seamlessly, providing outstanding supporter journeys across every CRUK touchpoint.

What will I be doing?

• Work with the Senior Proposition Manager to drive continued growth of CRUK audiences and supporters by managing the proposition with innovative, agile, multi-year proposition and implementation plans, working collaboratively and cross-functionally across the directorate and beyond.

• Support the management of the P&L for the proposition, ensuring agile cross-functional teams deliver against audience, volume, value, contribution, and other targets

You will provide confidential administrative support that helps clergy and parishes feel resourced and supported, while ensuring records, processes, and events run smoothly.

From processing expenses and maintaining key databases to preparing papers for important events and offering a warm welcome to visitors, no two days are ever quite the same.

You will also play a vital role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date clergy and parish records, helping to coordinate and officiate around four annual evening Churchwarden Visitations across various locations in Buckinghamshire, and assisting with wider diocesan projects.

You will be joining a small, supportive team that values flexibility, professionalism, and kindness, with opportunities to learn and grow in a role that truly makes a difference behind the scenes of church life.

About You

You are an experienced administrator with a meticulous eye for detail and a genuine commitment to helping things run smoothly. You bring proven IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office, and are confident using tools like Outlook, Teams, and Zoom to stay organised and connected.

You are someone who communicates clearly and compassionately, whether by phone, email, or in person, and you are comfortable engaging with people at all levels. You understand the importance of discretion and can be trusted to handle sensitive and confidential information with care.

You thrive in a busy, varied role where priorities can shift, and you are able to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines. Whether working independently or as part of a small, friendly team, you are proactive, reliable, and always ready to lend a hand.

You will bring a welcoming and professional presence to the office, offering hospitality to visitors and support to colleagues. An understanding of, or empathy with, the work of the Church of England would be an advantage, but above all, you will combine efficiency with warmth and take pride in work that supports the wider community.
