We are looking for a Community Fundraiser who has these key skills to help us raise vital income for our charity.  You will develop and deliver fundraising initiatives through partnerships with local groups, schools, associations and individuals.  This role will also involve delivering a number of fundraising events so being organised and creative is key and having a marketing focus to ensure maximum success.  No two days are the same and we are looking for someone who can be flexible in their approach and able to multitask effectively. 

You will be based at our purpose built children’s hospice just outside Maidenhead, which provides support to children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families. The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Partnerships Manager to join our small and dynamic team. This new role will support the Head of Partnerships and wider WFN team in delivering our fundraising strategy, stewarding high-value donor relationships, and unlocking new opportunities for income growth. 

The Partnerships Manager will work directly with some of WFN’s existing portfolio of 30 Major Donors made up primarily of Trusts, Family Foundations and High-Net-Worth Individual (HNWI) supporters, with some Corporates. About the Role

As Young People Support Worker you will be working alongside support team to provide accommodation and support services for young people experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping. You will be responsible for all aspects of the support planning, risk assessment and move-on for a small caseload of 4-5 residents, addressing their physical, emotional, social and behavioural needs and helping them progress towards independence.

Working under the direction, guidance and support of your line manager, you will be responsible for a small caseload of complex needs clients, as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service.

You will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on.

About the role

This role is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting those who struggle with complex needs, substance use, and dual diagnosis. We are looking for someone who can work flexibly to support residents and participants who struggle to engage with the support available to them through various providers. You will be at the heart of engaging our participants to regain motivation and the strength to step down from acute psychiatric wards and other supported living, by empowering them with the relevant skills and knowledge to support their journey. You will support them towards achieving their personal goals including independent living. You will be based across various homes, hospitals, wards, and supported living accommodations based around Lewisham.

You will provide pathways, support, and appropriate interventions that will enable successful resettlements, and deliver to achieve more safer, integrated communities for our stakeholders. The areas of support will include: Prevention, Transition, Activities of Daily Living (ADL), Support, and Social Inclusion. 

This role will work alongside South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM) who provide the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK. They also provide substance misuse services for people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol with 4,600 staff serving a local population of 1.3 million people.

• Support a caseload of participants, contribute to the development of support plans, risk assessments and reviews.
• Positively promote the pathways available towards independent living within the community. Ensure participants understand what tools and resources are available to them to regain independence.
• Participate in, and encourage R&Ps to participate in the running and development of projects, initiatives, training and volunteering.
• Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent a crisis.

You will craft compelling, authentic copy to create fundraising appeals for both warm and cold audiences, aiming to inspire engagement and support.

Working collaboratively across the charity, you will drive and enhance marketing efforts across all fundraising products. You will proactively seek opportunities to grow and promote the charity's membership offering, developing clear and effective campaigns in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

In addition, you will work alongside the Senior Marketing Officer and Supporter Services team to analyse the donor journey at every touchpoint. By using best-practice benchmarking, you will identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate across teams to deliver an even stronger supporter experience.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Proven track record in not-for-profit fundraising marketing and a passion for leveraging stories to drive fundraising success.
• Experience of developing and implementing on and offline fundraising marketing campaigns, delivering them on time and on budget.
• A proven ability to write persuasive copy.
• Strong project management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and ensure accuracy.

About the service
This new service will offer a safe, stable, and supportive environment for young people facing homelessness, many of whom may have mental health challenges, substance misuse issues, or experience of the care or criminal justice system. You’ll be part of a team delivering intensive, person-centred support that helps them build resilience, learn life skills, and take steps toward independent living.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing a small caseload of young people, meeting regularly to review progress and goals
• Developing support plans and risk assessments tailored to individual needs
• Supporting with housing applications, budgeting, benefits, and life skills
• Signposting to mental health, substance misuse, and safeguarding services
• Building trusted relationships while maintaining professional boundaries
• Ensuring accurate record-keeping using Microsoft Office and case management systems

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for passionate, reliable, and empathetic individuals with:

• Experience supporting young people aged 19–25 in supported housing, education, youth work or care
• Understanding of homelessness and housing legislation
• Experience in support planning and risk assessment
• Confidence signposting to specialist services (e.g., mental health, substance misuse, exploitation)
• Excellent communication and IT skills, with strong attention to detail
• A flexible approach to shift work, including weekends and bank holidays (non-negotiable requirement)
• A trauma-informed and safeguarding-focused approach to care
