We are looking for a Night Senior Care Assistant with experience in care homes, adult health, social care, or community settings. Evidence of professional development in dementia care is essential. You'll inspire care teams to provide compassionate, high-quality support tailored to each resident’s needs. You'll create personalised care plans, promote health and well-being, and ensure that the preferences and choices of residents are central to their care.

We offer flexible working hours to fit your lifestyle. Working 36 hours per week, 3 shifts over 7 days. Our night shift runs from 8:00pm to 8:00am, including weekends and bank holidays.

Rate of pay: £15.22 to £16.36 per hour (inclusive of night allowance).

Key responsibilities of the role:

- Manage shifts effectively to ensure everything runs smoothly and that care is always a top priority.
- Guide and support team members to help them develop professionally.

- Oversee medication administration and ensure it’s done safely and accurately.
- Provide compassionate care, particularly in end-of-life situations, offering emotional support to residents and their families.

You will hold a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care or equivalent and will be willing to work towards a Level 3 Team Leader / Supervisory Apprenticeship Standard. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.

The Role

As Community Fundraising Manager, you’ll support and inspire a vibrant network of community fundraisers and volunteer ambassadors. You’ll be responsible for growing and delivering the charity’s community fundraising activity through this network, building meaningful relationships, and ensuring excellent stewardship. About You

You will be a motivated self-starter with a ‘people first’ attitude and a background in fundraising, volunteer management, events, marketing, or communications.

About the role

This role sits in the STAR Partnership which stands for Supporting Tenancies, Accommodation and Reconnections. We work in collaboration with Thames Reach, Stonewall Housing and Praxis, to support 4000 Londoners a year who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness, as well as working to improve Londoners’ ability to sustain a safe and secure home.

You will deliver high quality housing advice and advocacy in line with the hub’s local community priorities and the STAR Partnership framework and work with people who are experiencing homelessness and bad housing to identify issues facing local communities.  You will plan and deliver casework to individuals and communities to resolve their housing situation and engage with community groups, local organisations and individuals to understand local housing issues and raise awareness of people’s rights.

You will also work in local community settings and with community groups to deliver advice and rights awareness workshops and make sure that people with lived experience of homelessness have opportunities to share their story, give their opinions and participate in the design and delivery of Shelter services. Offering day to day support to volunteers, providing learning, shadowing and mentoring and being a consistent role model for our values are also key aspects of the role.

About you

You are able to listen to, engage and work with individuals and communities and with all stakeholders, including people with lived experience of homelessness. You will have experience, knowledge of and/or proven ability in housing and homelessness advice and advocacy and are able to progress to specialist level knowledge, as well as the ability to carry out casework related interviews, maintain detailed case records, advise and support clients to make informed decisions. A proven record of delivering group workshops and presentations is essential, as is a collaborative, flexible and professional approach to your work.

Volunteering Matters Brighter Futures work with pupils (aged 13-18) who are referred via the City of Edinburgh Councils We Matter Team.  These are disengaged young people have been identified as needing some additional support in engaging with education and positive pathways.   

The aim of the project is to get these young people to experience a volunteering placement with local charitable organisations that will build their confidence and allow them to grow and learn new things in a different environment out with school.   We also support the young person to receive a qualification through this which as well as offering all young people the opportunity to have a mentor.  The young people that we support on this project are all care experienced in some way.     

We’re looking for a patient and engaging Youth Engagement Manager to join the Brighter Futures team in Edinburgh.   The right candidate would be someone who can work flexibly and demonstrate an understanding and total commitment to our organisational values.

•  To build relationships with the young people, acting in a non-judgemental way to support them through their Brighter Futures journey.  

• Consistently role modelling and displaying Volunteering Matters organisational values   

• Deliver and develop the Brighter Futures Schools programme across the City of Edinburgh, meeting ambitious targets and milestones, ensuring all young people engaged achieve positive outcomes  

• Work alongside staff form residential units, parents and carers to help support building a relationship with the young people referred.  

• Build relationships with high schools across Edinburgh  

• Engaging with current Charity Partners and developing new ones in line with our Best Practice for under 18’s volunteering.  

• To maintain excellent relationships with charity and not-for-profit partners in Edinburgh - ensuring diverse, high quality volunteer roles are available that reflect the needs and interests of pupils.  

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, volunteers, families, social work, NHS, Education partners, third sector organisations and others.

Reports to : Deputy Head of Upper School 

Responsibilities include but are not exhaustive;

• To have full responsibility for the organisation and supervision of the school and extended services as an examination centre, ensuring adequate security and the adherence to appropriate examination board regulations and routines.
• To timetable all external and internal examinations.  
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of entries to examination bodies.
• To oversee correspondence with curriculum areas and examination boards.
• Deliver training on invigilation and facilitation of access arrangements.
• Actively engage in training sessions, meetings and other directed tasks, to support the school’s priorities and to ensure their own professional development.
• Attend staff meetings and planning meetings when required.
• Report any safeguarding concerns to the Senior Designated Person.
• Adhere to all safeguarding policies, practices and expectations including online safety.
• Support the safe arrival and departure of the children and young people to and from school on LA or parental transport

About You;

• Recent Exams Officer Training.
• Experience of working as an Exams Officer.
• Strong administrative skills 
• Experience of JCQ inspections in relation to delivery of exams and access arrangements.
• Experience of exam timetabling and facilitating access arrangements.
• The ability to keep records in an orderly fashion and prioritise competing tasks within specified time constraints
• Flexibility in dealing with changing circumstances. 
• A proficient level of spoken and written English.
• Evidence of recent relevant professional development.
• An understanding of the JCQ regulations for delivering examinations and for access arrangements.
• Strong personal resilience.

Join Dementia UK as a Digital Marketing Executive and play a vital role in raising awareness of the charity’s services, engaging supporters and generating income through digital activity.

Working closely with the Digital team, you will support the development and delivery of the digital marketing strategy, with a particular focus on paid campaign management . You will be responsible for developing and launching key paid campaigns across social media channels, aligned with organisational objectives to maximise income and grow brand reach.
