Delphside Limited is entering an exciting phase of change, but is mindful of the challenges the mental health care and charity sector as a whole is facing.
To help mitigate this this, we are looking to enhance our Governance and control systems in terms of our financial and administration management.
The role is a temporary role (6-12 months) to help direct and support changes of financial systems, data control processes and to help ensure the current team, including our current Finance Manager, are supported with the implementation of a more up to date and effective way of working.
Ideally you will be a fully qualified accountant, but equally we would welcome applications from individuals who are qualified by experience or accredited qualification (e.g. AAT Level 4, ACCA/ACA qualified etc.) It is essential you have proven experience of delivering strategic leadership in finance, preferably (but not essentially) in the charitable sector and that you can deliver changes of processes and systems.
Knowledge of Sage and also XERO systems would be beneficial.
Main Responsibilities :
· Provide full review of current financial controls, identify and implement a new financial I.T./software system suited to service needs.
· Oversee the procurement, implementation and transition to the new financial I.T./software system once it is identified.
· The post holder will assist with the strategic planning and budget preparation for the organisation as well as maintaining the charity's financial accounting systems.
· To provide support to the Finance Manager by overseeing the preparation of the organisation’s accounts for audit in accordance with current accounting good practice and Charity Commission’s Standards of Recommended Practice (SORP)
· Lead, develop and support a small dedicated finance and administration team
· Long term financial planning and assisting the CEO with succession planning in the finance area of the service, including creation of a financial risk register.
· Assist in setting the annual budget and report on performance.
· Oversee timely production by the Finance manager of monthly management accounts and the annual statutory accounts.
· Ensure a robust financial control environment and ensure all treasury and Financial Governance management are in place, suitable and effective.
· The post holder will have responsibility to ensure the organisation is compliant with legal and financial duties associated with those of a Charitable Company reporting directly to the CEO and Board of Trustees.
· Provide proactive assessment of opportunities to deliver efficiencies in collaboration with department heads where necessary.

MLC Partners are supporting a well-known Charity to recruit a 12-month fixed-term Finance Systems and Project Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly alongside the Head of Financial Accounting and Processes and be involved in critical finance projects across the organisation.
Key deliverables of the role:

The Finance Systems Analyst is a newly created role which will have responsibility for the efficient running and maintenance of ClientEarth’s finance systems, including Access Focal Point- which has been in use for over five years and Workday Adaptive Planning, a new system for the organisation. This role is required due to the rapid growth of ClientEarth and investment in new systems. You will provide essential support for current finance processes, suggest improvements to those processes to maximise their value and provide input into systems strategy for the finance department into the future.

About the role

Role and Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and working closely with the Senior Programme Finance Officer, the primary objective of the role is to manage the monthly and annual accounts, prepare for and lead the end-to-end statutory audit and support the wider organisation with financial insight and guidance.

Conservation Collective (CC) funds solutions to protect the environment, restore nature, and safeguard against climate change. The CC UK charity incubates, launches, and supports locally focused foundations, which open new funding channels to support the most impactful environmental grassroots projects. Our network comprises 20 members based all over the world and is growing.
We manage and monitor our donor relations, grant giving governance, contacts, and event activities, via a bespoke and customised salesforce system. This was launched in September 2021, and has been developed and configured to meet our growing needs since then. As the demand for our model increases around the world, we need a highly capable systems specialist to support us to ensure our data systems are well managed, users are trained, and we can create accurate reports for our donors and other audiences. The role will report to the Finance Director and will work closely with the rest of the team. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Salesforce System: maintenance, training, development, and reporting
Maintenance
· Ensure key objects on Salesforce such as accounts, contacts, campaigns and grants are working effectively (ensure process flows work well).
· Maintain reliable records in all objects on Salesforce by eliminating duplicates monthly, processing user deletion requests and updating records for lists with up-to-date information on key stakeholders (e.g. trustees, contractors etc).
· Weekly data back-ups.
· Uploading ad-hoc batch data from Campaigns e.g. Just Giving or historical data into Opportunities.

Reporting
· Build reports and dashboards for each key Object – spot trends and suggest improvements.

o Grants - tracker and applications analysis, extraction of impact data for evaluation purposes
· Provide quarterly diagnoses of user adoption levels across the network.
· Work with exec director to prepare quarterly data for trustee meeting and annual reports.
Manage IT systems with the support of an outsourced consultant
· Act as a key point of contact with our outsourced IT company, overseeing the creation of new users and managing the leavers’ processes.
- Ensure MS365 systems are working effectively for current users, and troubleshoot issues as a first point of contact before liaising with outsourced providers.
· Maintain an up to date ‘how to guide’ for our intranet, ensuring all users know how to use it and find what they need.
· Recommend Cyber Security improvements.
· Procure IT equipment for team with support of external consultant.
· Maintain an up-to-date list of active users, MS 365 licenses and Antivirus license protection.
· Oversee the IT budget by approving expenses on a regular basis.
· To manage website domains – purchasing new ones on request, performing updates or providing access to web designers.

What we do

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the ENN team as our Management Accountant - Grants. The role provides the opportunity to work across the spectrum of ENN’s projects, as part of the operations team. You will be based in our headquarters in Oxfordshire and will work closely with ENN’s Finance Manager and Projects Team.
About You
Bringing your experience of third sector accounting to ENN, you will be able to communicate well with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. You will be comfortable supporting complex projects, tailoring financial management information and reports to enable decision making and assuring donor compliance and reporting requirements are met consistently.

Key responsibilities
Grant compliance and reporting
- Financial compliance of grant spend in line with donor agreements ensuring no disallowable costs and that all allowable costs are reflected in the accounts correctly.
- Provide back up for grant financial reporting in the format required by donors for the projects team to review, collate and submit with the full donor reporting pack.
- Raise sales invoice to the donor with all back up attached and provide acknowledgement of funds letters upon receipt of cash in the bank.
- Work closely with the Finance Assistant and Projects team to ensure invoices are correctly coded to the right donor and project and complete month end reconciliations
- Input budget and quarterly reforecasts into the finance system (iplicit) and track grant performance against budgets on a regular basis providing variance analysis.
- Review and assimilate grant financial information for the Finance Manager and/or Project team as required which ultimately will be used as input in management reporting for various stakeholders (Technical budget holders, Management Team and Trustees).
- Support the organisation’s income generation ambitions, through the provision of advice, guidance and assistance, and in assisting with funding bids and budgeting and undertaking new funder/partner financial viability assessments as required.
- Maintain and update donor restricted fund balances/movements for year-end statutory reporting.
- Maintain project financial files and records for statutory audit and donor audit purposes.
Management accounting
- Prepare monthly income deferrals and income accruals and maintain month end trial balance reconciliations for management accounts.
- Capture any committed project costs to accrue.
- Apportion any interest earned from grant cash in the bank in line with donor contract terms.
- Work collaboratively with the Finance Manager on cash flow forecasting with regards to expected donor payments.
- As required by finance or the projects team, and working with iplicit, write reports in the finance system that would provide insightful and useful management information. For example, for grant monitoring and evaluation, trend analysis and assessing KPI’s etc
- Support the Finance Manager in capacity building and providing financial training to finance and non-finance staff.
- Provide ad hoc support to the Finance Manager with regards to specific financial projects, as required.
- Bank signatory for creditor payments in line with ENN’s Delegation of Authority Policy.
