About Bright Futures UK

Bright Futures UK, an award winning charity, supports children and young people aged 5 to 24 whose education has been disrupted due to serious long-term physical or mental health conditions. We offer online one-to-one tutoring, befriending, and mentoring programmes, as well as group programmes including hospital workshops, industry events, and advocacy initiatives. Role Overview

The Trusts and Foundations Manager will play a central role in driving sustainable income for Bright Futures UK by securing funding from charitable trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies. This role will focus on developing high-quality funding applications, managing relationships with key funders, and ensuring timely reporting and stewardship.

Working closely with colleagues across Programmes and Finance, you will translate Bright Futures UK’s impact into compelling cases for support, while identifying new funding opportunities to grow and diversify income.

Key Responsibilities

Income Generation

• Research and identify trusts, foundations, and statutory funding opportunities aligned with Bright Futures UK’s mission.
• Develop and deliver a pipeline of high-quality funding applications to meet agreed income targets.
• Write compelling, tailored funding proposals and grant applications, drawing on organisational impact data and stories.
• Prepare accurate budgets in collaboration with the Finance Team to accompany applications.

Fundraising Strategy & Pipeline Management

• Maintain an active funding pipeline, ensuring applications and reports are submitted on time.
• Track progress against targets and provide regular updates to the Chief Executive and senior leadership.
• Contribute to the development of the charity’s wider fundraising strategy, ensuring trusts and foundations income complements individual giving, corporate partnerships, and community events.

Funder Stewardship & Reporting

• Build and maintain excellent relationships with funders, ensuring effective stewardship at all stages.
• Produce high-quality, timely grant reports that demonstrate impact and accountability.
• Arrange funder visits, meetings, and briefings as required.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Administration

• Work with the Programmes Team to gather impact data, case studies, and evidence to strengthen proposals and reports.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of applications, grants, and funder communications in the CRM system.
• Monitor sector trends and share insights on funding opportunities and best practice.

Person Specification

Essential

• Proven track record of securing significant multi-year grants from trusts, foundations, or statutory funders.
• Strong bid-writing skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive, and tailored proposals.
• Excellent relationship management skills, with experience engaging funders or external stakeholders.
• Strong numeracy and experience in preparing budgets for funders.

LGBT Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) Birmingham & West Midlands.

Full-time 37 hours per week.

Birmingham LGBT is seeking to recruit a full-time LGBT IDVA covering Birmingham and the West Midlands to ensure that LGBT victims/survivors of domestic violence have access to an IDVA who will offer support, signposting, advocacy, risk management and safety planning.

Main Duties

 ·Provide independent advocacy and support to LGBT survivors of domestic violence.

·Work with survivors from the point of crisis and offer intensive support to help ensure short-term and long-term safety.

·Maintain multi-agency links and partnerships through protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors of domestic violence.

·Empower service users by providing them with emotional and practical support, thus enabling them to access their rights, empowering them to make decisions and increasing their life options.

·Inform survivors of full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.

Casework Management

·To advise and support LGBT survivors of domestic violence.

·To undertake advocacy casework, working with survivors following an initial assessment of their needs, working within a structured key-working relationship.

·To provide one-to-one-emotional, practical, legal and advocacy support to survivors through the development of an individual support plan, including risk assessments, safety planning and assistance in accessing other relevant services such as the police, counselling, housing, and legal services.

·To support LGBT survivors of domestic violence who are going through the criminal justice system.

·To develop and maintain good working relationships and links with other agencies, referring service users to appropriate specialist agencies where necessary as part of a support plan and in consultation with them.

·To ensure that any issues in relation to child or adult protection concerns are responded to in line with Birmingham LGBT’s policies and are brought to the immediate attention of the line manager.

·To deliver training on LGBT domestic violence.

·To work within Birmingham LGBT’s policies and procedures.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Information Management

·To participate in the collection and maintenance of information on relevant referral agencies and local services.

·To ensure high quality and effective statistical monitoring is undertaken at all times in accordance with Birmingham LGBT’s procedures.

·To produce monitoring reports as requested by the Office of the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner.

·To maintain accurate, confidential service-user records of contact details and interventions, ensuring that personal information is up-to-date and that it is kept secure and confidential at all times in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and Birmingham LGBT’s procedures.

·To ensure that feedback from service users and agencies is actively sought to inform the continuous improvement and development of the service.

Professional Development and Training

·To keep up-to-date with developments in legislation, policy and local and national government initiatives that address domestic violence.

·To attend and prepare for regular meetings with the line manager and to participate in individual appraisals in accordance with Birmingham LGBT’s policies and procedures.

·To attend internal or external training events, meetings or forums, as requested by the line manager and in line with the post-holder’s professional development plan.

·To attend regular team meetings.

·To carry out other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required by the line manager.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

About the role

Crisis at Christmas is our unique event, with centres across Britain offering people experiencing homeless food, clothing, advice and support with health, housing, employment and benefits, as well as a safe space to stay at an extremely challenging time of year.

Our Christmas Case Management Team work across the Crisis at Christmas services in London. We provide support to guests of Christmas experiencing homelessness and who lack support from other services. We continue this support into the year after Christmas and we take further referrals throughout the year from partner agencies.

We prioritise building meaningful relationships and work with people to identify what works for them. Our approach is developed from trauma informed, strengths-based and intensive case management approaches and we deliver this through an outreach-based service, working across the London boroughs.

About you

We are looking for an experienced, skilled and driven person to join the Case Management Team as a Case Manager. In this key role, you will support a caseload of people experiencing homelessness. You will ensure the accuracy of records and data, compile reports which evidence our impact, oversee financial systems and support the mapping of services across London reporting. The role also provides opportunity to supervise volunteers, collect feedback from members, and support the team manager with service development.

You will receive support with training, regular supervision, and professional development. Crisis is an innovative and multi-faceted organisation and there are many internal opportunities to get involved with as well. Job Purpose:
The Operations Assistant provides support to the HR and Operations Manager by taking day to day responsibility, under guidance, for various facilities, safety and administrative processes, including HR administration, as well as responsiblity for locking/unlocking of meeting rooms, routine health and safety tasks and other matters that contribute to making the office a pleasant and functional environment in which to work.

Gulab Sorkh Foundation (GSF) is an independent charity supporting former members of the Afghan security forces and their families, who have come to the UK under the Government’s Afghan Relocation and Assistance Policy (ARAP). About Southwark Charities

With a history of over 400 years, Southwark Charities provides affordable housing giving older people the opportunity to live independently in a safe, secure, and supportive environment. We also provide grant funding to a wide range of community organisations and charities working with older people in Southwark. We have a thriving membership programme to help enrich older people’s lives, support their health and well-being and tackle isolation.

Due to our prudent financial management our investments and varied income portfolio yields an annual operating budget of £1.9 million each year. Of this, we distribute around £500,000 in grants, a figure set to increase to approximately £1 million by 2029. In addition, we pay modest annual grants to around 200 individual members and organise a wide range of activities—such as theatre outings, day trips, and community events—for both almshouse residents and our wider membership community.

On completion of our new almshouse we will be providing affordable office space for like-minded organisations.

We are proud of our long history of service to Southwark’s older people and are committed to ensuring our organisation is well positioned to meet future challenges, including property expansion, increased grant-making, and a growing programme of resident and community engagement.

Our organisation currently employs a small but dedicated team of four:

• Clerk/Chief Executive (FT) – due to retire in November 2028.
• Operations Manager (FT) – appointed three years ago to free up the Clerk so they could oversee a major building programme.
• Grants Officer (FT) – currently manages ~£500k in grant giving (expected to rise to ~£1m by 2029) and provides administrative support to another charity.
• Membership Officer (0.8 FTE) – supports and organises activities for ~250 local people.

We seek to engage an HR consultant to provide advice and proposals on the following:

1. Staffing Structure Review
   • Assess the current organisational structure and workforce capacity.
   • Review roles and functions through one-to-one interviews for clarity, overlap, and efficiency.

2. Skills Audit
   • Identify current skills, gaps, and training needs across the team.

The role with therefore require a resilient, proactive, hands-on HR expert who can manage a varied workload and deliver positive outcomes for colleagues. You will need to be comfortable dealing with and managing change as well as being able to respectfully challenge established practices and build strong relationships built on trust.

You will also need to have a strong ER background as advising and supporting your stakeholders on ER matters will be a key part of this role.

Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model. The requirement is a minimum of 50% of your working week. For most full-time colleagues, this means attending the office for five days over a two-week period (e.g., two days one week and three days the next). For colleagues on different contracts (including part-time or compressed contracts) this will be adjusted accordingly.

We are recruiting for a Fundraising assistant on a FTC for 6 months for a social welfare charity for their regional cover in Edinburgh.
This is a hands-on role that would suit someone whos organised, good with people, and interested in building experience across a wide range of fundraising activity. Youll be supporting both the Events and Regional Fundraising teams, helping to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes and on the day at events.

The Role
To assist with the development and delivery of designated aspects of the programme of fundraising events and activities, including planning and coordinating logistics, support during on-the-day delivery, managing event communications and participant experience, maintaining event systems, materials, and data integrity.
To provide support for individuals who are raising funds in aid of the charity whether through organising their own events, participating in events or taking part in large scale public events
To assist at appropriate events, providing support for attendees.
To respond to fundraising enquiries, either by email, phone or in person and ensure all enquiries are acted upon within the requisite timescales and recorded appropriately.
To assist, as required, with all fundraising department administration, including database input and updating, mail merging, thank you letters, requests for donations, recording of planning and procedures, photocopying and filing.
To process daily fundraising income occasionally on the database including running daily donation and finance reports and reconciling income.

The Candidate
Full UK Driving Licence
Experience working in an administration-based support role dealing with a variety of tasks
