Sitting within our Community and Events Fundraising team reporting to the Events Manager, and working with the other Events Coordinator, you will focus on delivery of high levels of exceptional supporter stewardship to supporters through the events portfolio. 
 
Key responsibilities include:

• To support the delivery of excellent events experiences for Team CF participants at high profile events such as the London Marathon, Great North Run and London Landmarks Half Marathon. 
• To build effective relationships with supporters to promote and encourage participation to maximise fundraising whilst deepening supporter relationships to drive second actions and retention.

To be successful in this role, the requirements you will need to meet include (please see the attached job description and person specification for the full requirements):

• Have experience of organising or working within an event/or community fundraising environment.

This role will require travel throughout the UK for challenge events. You will be able to take Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) for this and claim travel, hotel and subsistence allowances.

The Community and Events Fundraising team all work from home and keep in touch with online team meetings, individual catch ups, as well as in person when required. 
 
This role offers a flexible location. Most of the team are home-based, but this role can be based at our London office (which would require the postholder to attend the office a minimum of two days per week).

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented Operations Officer to play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of Animal Equality UK’s internal operations and supporter services.

This is a varied role covering administration, finance, data management, supporter care, and event coordination. You will be the first point of contact for many of our supporters and stakeholders, providing excellent service while supporting team members across all departments.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. JOB DESCRIPTION

• Culture and internal support: Act as a culture ambassador, upholding Animal Equality’s values of professionalism, resilience, accountability, and compassion. Strengthen communication between teams and ensure effective use of project management tools. Identify and lead process improvements with guidance from the Operations Manager.
• Supporter and donor care: Serve as the first point of contact for supporter queries via phone, email, post, and social media. Provide excellent donor support, including thanking donors, resolving payment issues, and sending mailings. Maintain supporter and volunteer records accurately in CRM systems and ensure compliance with GDPR.
• Finance and reporting: Process expenses, supplier payments, and support budget forecasting. Assist with Gift Aid claims, monthly data uploads, and finance reports. Prepare scheduled reports and presentations to track progress against objectives.
• Team processes: Support recruitment processes, including application handling, interview coordination, and onboarding/offboarding schedules. Ensure smooth induction for new staff and manage equipment, training resources, and access.
• Events and operations: Assist with the organisation of internal training, team meet-ups, and supporter events. Support health and safety measures for team members and volunteers at peaceful protests, undertaking risk assessments and first aid training. Manage stock and campaign materials, fulfil supporter requests, and oversee mailing logistics.

The Trusts & Foundations Coordinator role is within the Trusts & Foundations team in CAFOD’s Integrated Funding and Business Innovation section. The post-holder will report to an International Programme Funding Officer Trusts & Foundations, (IPFOTF) and works closely with Trusts & Foundations and Institutional Fundraisers, the Major Gifts and Philanthropy team, other Fundraising & Participation teams and International Programme teams, in order to secure grants under £100,000 from Trusts & Foundations, Religious Orders and Catholic Associations. Key Responsibilities 

Relationship management and cultivation  

• Responsibility for stewardship and development of a portfolio of mainstream grant-making trusts, personal/family trusts, Catholic/Christian trusts and Catholic religious orders and associations.

• Responsibility to re-engage lapsed trusts. 

• Work with the IPFOTF to develop appropriate strategies for cultivation, donation uplift, and approaches to prospective trusts and religious orders. 

• Prepare well-researched funding applications/proposals and produce timely reports. 

• Ensure all communications are appropriate to the needs of the funder.

Information management 

• Monitor on a regular basis the funding interests of charitable trusts, income and expenditure trends, information about trustees, application procedures etc.

• Keep up to date on external developments in trust fundraising and participate in the Institute of Fundraising Trusts Special Interest Group. 

Other 

• Contribute to other aspects of CAFOD’s work where necessary, including engaging in divisional and CAFOD-wide forums, as agreed with Head of Team. 

• Support CAFOD in ensuring an integrated approach to fundraising across our different income streams.

Role overview

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours a week). Working part-time (minimum 21 hours a week) or job-sharing will be considered. Salary: Starting at £31,294 FTE with potential annual step increases up to £35,086 (pro rata if working part-time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, the trustees consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. We are looking for a diligent and data-minded Grants Assistant to join our small and dynamic team. Birthrights is the leading authority on the fundamental human rights of women and birthing people during pregnancy and birth and our work has never been more urgent.

We need a strong team-player and self-starter who can respond to all enquiries coming into the advice service and who knows when to seek further support, guidance, or information from the rest of the team.

Our advice and information manager, who works 3 days a week, will retain overall responsibility for the advice service provision, bringing the intelligence themes from the advice service to the wider training and advocacy work of Birthrights. You will be an integral part of our team. We have a weekly advice team meeting and monthly team meetings. We use Microsoft Teams messaging and calls to support one another and to communicate throughout the day.

Birthrights is a small but mighty charity, and our reputation will be in your hands. We pride ourselves on our expertise in human rights law, and how it applies to maternity care, and on our empathetic and supportive service. We provide legal information, rather than counselling or legal advice, and we make practical suggestions on how and where to advocate to bring about a swift resolution of a rights-based problem. We signpost to other organisations when enquiries go beyond our core areas of knowledge.

As we continue to build capacity within the team, we are focused not only on meeting current demand, but also on looking ahead — identifying the evolving needs of those who may seek our support, and ensuring our approach remains responsive, impactful, and grounded in rights-based care.

We are committed to supporting women and birthing people to access care that respects their rights. Our support includes advocating when those rights are at risk and providing clear pathways for escalation when human rights are breached.

At the same time, we view our advice service as a vital driver of wider systemic change — both within individual NHS trusts and across the maternity system as a whole. Through this work, we aim to highlight patterns, push for accountability, and contribute to building a more just and equitable maternity system.

We continue to champion a human rights framework in maternity care and for human rights law to underpin the regulation of maternity care. You will be one of several new staff, working under a strong board, a new 10 year strategy and a new Chief Executive.
