Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Support the implementation of best financial practices.
· Facilitate communication between Finance and non-Finance teams.
· Process the quarterly financial forecasts and annual budgets using Excel and Microsoft Business Central.
· Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, liaising with budget holders to ensure accuracy and engagement.
· Produce and update reports and graph analysis using Jet excel reports and Power BI.

General Overview of Role
The post-holder will be responsible for writing bid applications within Combat Stress. This will include:
- Support the development and delivery of Combat Stress's bid writing under the leadership of the Director of Fundraising (DoF) and Head of Trusts and Foundations (HTF), in order to support our role as a specialist UK-wide provider of mental health services to veterans with complex mental health needs.
- With guidance and support from DoF and HoTF contribute to the various stages of a bid or tender process.
- Support the team in managing service contracts.
- Ensure compliance with the business development framework and governance processes - with support from DoF and HoTF.
Main Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Complete bid writing in support of the business development agenda of Combat Stress, working with all departments in promoting our services to attract new business and supporting cost-effective service delivery.
- Contribute to our revenue generation agenda by owning and contributing to bid documents such as mobilisation or communication plans.
- Support the assessment of the healthcare market within which we operate, to ensure we are best placed to achieve growth and have the appropriate strategies to mitigate risks
- Support the development, monitoring and delivery of business developments plans, systems and processes in line with our strategy and targets
- Work across departments in order to adhere to the full service specification of the bid or tender.
- Work with the DoF to develop existing partnership arrangements and to develop the case to support new service and business partnerships, commercial ventures, and creative contract solutions to further our strategic aims.

We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.
Bringing together two big organisations is not a small task and it’ll take a while to fully integrate our systems, processes and approaches. The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recovery Coordinator to support Waythrough’s service delivery within Reconnected to Health in HMYOI Deerbolt .As a Recovery Coordinator, you will provide 1:1 support for service users, from brief interventions through to structured treatment, including groups, to ensure that every recovery journey is tailored to individual priorities. You will take a “whole person” holistic approach to ensure that every service user’s package of care encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every person.
- Manage a service user caseload, devising, implementing and reviewing on-going recovery plans and treatment, liaising closely with the full range of workers and skills within the service team, including family members and significant others as appropriate.
- Carry out triage/screening assessments and comprehensive assessments with service users.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to undertake shared assessments, key working and interventions to promote individual service user progression from engagement, through structured treatment to self-sustained recovery.
- Facilitate service user access to treatment and community resources to increase recovery and social capital, supporting service users and their families within their local community To lead effective case management for allocated service users, including on-going processes such as risk assessments, risk management plans and safeguarding assessments and plans. This includes the effective use of an online case management system.

The new post of Financial Controller will be responsible for all aspects of finance and in so doing help our charity to create magical memories for sick children. We have recently moved into a modern new office, have appointed a new CEO and are celebrating 35 years of Wish granting across the UK. So, it is an exciting time to join our dedicated team, some of whom work remotely or from our Scotland office.
Reporting to the CEO, you will work with all parts of our charity and be able to work to deadlines. Using QuickBooks and ThankQ as part of your daily tasks you will play a pivotal role in driving the finance department, producing reports, analysing them and presenting to the CEO and Trustees.

· Respond to phone and email enquiries to the Planning Aid Wales Helpline.
· Record enquiry details, assess eligibility and decide on next steps.

The ability to speak and write in Welsh is highly desirable.

The new Finance Administrator will join our small and friendly UK team for 15 hours a week, starting from June. They will be responsible for effective financial and legal activities of the UK team.
- This role is for someone living in the UK.
- The job is remote (working from home) with staff meetings in person every few months. Hours can be flexible.
- The initial contract is 12 months, but can be extended upon review.
- Salary is in the range of £26k-£27k (pro rata).
ABOUT MIDDLE EAST MEDIA: We are a Christian organisation producing media and empowering other content creators to move the people of the Middle East towards faith in Jesus Christ. Together with our teams and supporters, we’re using creative media to reach those who need it most—especially in places where sharing the message of Jesus is challenging.
Key Responsibilities
1.Regular Reporting
- Forecast and create monthly cash flow as requested.
- Report on cash reserve levels with reference to the reserves policy.
- Produce timely and accurate management and financial accounts information, as requested by the Director or Trustees each month, with full explanation on significant areas and variances from budgets, using accrual accounting methods.
- Prepare and send quarterly & yearly reports to the financial team of the International Board.
- Produce other reports and recommendations as appropriate or requested.
2.Budgets
- Help to generate annual budgets.
- Work with staff and Treasurer to identify risks & opportunities to help deliver within the budgets.
- Facilitate financial support and guidance to budget holders.
3.Audit and Year End
- Prepare the information for statutory annual accounts for the auditors.
- Liaise with external auditors or equivalent, as needed.
- Submit annual returns to the Charity Commission on time.
4.Controls, Procedures, Systems
- Ensure accounting process remains compliant with the appropriate Charities SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice).
- Manage the annual report process to ensure a quality annual report is produced with an accurate and dynamic reflection on the year that the report refers to.
- Provide support in reviewing, monitoring and developing an appropriate and effective financial framework (policies, regulations, procedures and controls) that are in line with MEM’s strategy and values.
- Ensure financial processes and policies are up to date, communicated to and understood by the staff team and the Trustees. Ensure they are also in line with any regulatory requirements.
- Ensure appropriate risk management techniques and financial controls are embedded throughout the charity at strategic and operational levels.
5.Donor Support
- Deal with any donor queries that come by email.
- Maintain up-to-date records of donors, field staff and other contacts in the MEM’s database.
- Support the team with gift acknowledgements.
- Set up standing orders and keep records.
- Process and record completed Gift Aid declarations, and regularly submit Gift Aid reclaims to HMRC.
6.Financial Administration
- Input all financial data (income and expenditure) into organisation’s CRM, accounting and other relevant software.
- Prepare and follow up suppliers’ invoices for payment.
- Make payments for all authorised invoices.
- Process expense claims and make payments.
- Manage the banking of income (cheques and cash).
- Schedule transfer of funds to the field on a regular basis, making sure the transfer statements have the right codes.
- Act as one of the signatories for the bank accounts making amendments, payments and being a first point of communication with bank as required.
- Liaise directly with the outsourced payroll provider. Prepare, submit and issue P11Ds and ensure appropriate payment.
- Manage pension details and ensure contributions for all staff are made on time.
7.Other Duties
- Provide support during the recruitment process.
- Collate staff timesheets, keep track of holiday and staff sickness in line with MEM policies.
- Prepare and check monthly payroll details before sending to the payroll provider, including sickness reporting etc.
- Manage incoming post and liaise with Mailbox administration (mail will be forwarded to your address).
- Be the primary contact with the Charity Commission.
- Determine the insurance needs and negotiate suitable policies on a timely basis.
- Contribute to the general operation and activities of MEM’s UK team, attending meetings as required, sharing knowledge and expertise.

The role will be based onsite in London for the first week, and will then be remote working with 1-2 days in the office per month.
Volunteers play a vital role in delivering the organisation's mission, and this post will provide key administrative support to ensure their recruitment, engagement and retention is efficient and effective.
Key responsibilities for this post will include:
- Providing an effective administration service related to the recruitment, engagement and retention of volunteers, following agreed procedures and standards.
- Delivering accurate and timely support regarding volunteers' use of organisational systems and resources, including recognition for service and handling processes when volunteers leave.
- Supporting the delivery of national and local volunteer recruitment and engagement campaigns.
- Helping current volunteers explore new or additional roles within the organisation, contributing to volunteer retention.
- Handling enquiries, general information and complaints related to volunteering, liaising with relevant managers and escalating to senior staff when appropriate.
- Supporting the diversity and inclusion agenda in all communications and contributing to specific activities promoting diversity in the volunteer community.

To be considered for this role you will have:
- Experience working with or supporting volunteers, or experience in customer care, business administration or internal engagement.

- Strong organisational ability, with the capacity to manage competing priorities and work independently.
