Work experience at Unifrog
In 2022, we launched the Unifrog Placements tool with just a few schools and colleges, and it’s now being used by over 45% of UK schools and has facilitated over 350,000 placements since its launch. The Placements tool makes it quick and easy for schools and colleges to administer work experience, virtual work experience (VWEX), work shadowing, and internships, all in one central place on the Unifrog platform. The more schools that sign up to and get started with Placements, the closer we can get to levelling the playing field for all students.
What you’ll do
As the Work Experience Lead, you will provide outstanding customer support for school and college partners using our Placements tool. You’ll be the first point of contact for any queries about the tool, resolving any issues partners, parents or employers have with the process. You’ll also be responsible for training individuals, tracking the engagement and impact of the Placements tool across our partner schools. You’ll be keeping Account Managers up to speed on this throughout the academic year.
Key responsibilities:

Manage incoming queries about our Placements tool via phone call and email.

Keep Salesforce records up to date after any interactions with partner schools and colleges.

Continually suggest and streamline our Work Experience processes using feedback from our partners.

Analyse engagement data, trends and notable issues on Placements usage and share this data with Account Managers and the wider UK management team.
Additional responsibilities:

Proactively look for opportunities to continue improving our platform and support of Work Experience within schools and colleges. For example, reviewing survey responses to identify potential tweaks or process improvements.

Support the UK Partner Success Team during busy periods, e.g., uploading school data onto the platform and troubleshooting any issues partner schools and colleges are experiencing.

Proactively work to foster a sense of community amongst our Unifrog partners and consider how we can promote the sharing and embedding of Unifrog best practice.
Working together
You’ll work alongside the Partner Success Leads and the wider UK schools and colleges team. You’ll also have contact with our Data, Marketing, and Finance teams.

The Role

The position is an exciting dual role:
1. Volunteering & People Manager (80% of workload)
You'll become a key cog at the heart ofFree to Be's management team, taking lead responsibility for volunteer and staff recruitment and retention, holding and delivering our volunteering strategy, launching a new training infrastructure through 2026-27, and heading up 'all things volunteering'. With one direct report, you'll aim to grow volunteer numbers year on year, ensure volunteers are well matched, and well supported, onto our residential projects, and lead on quality assurance, including volunteering standards concerns/grievances. Alongside our Services, Operations and Fundraising Managers, you'll be a core management team member holding shared responsibility for the day to day running of an impactful and growing children's mental health and adventure charity and will work closely with our inspiring and supportive CEO to set longer-term key strategic goals underpinning Free to Be's future development.
2. Residential Project Lead Coordinator (20% of role)
Our residentials are fun, immersive, tiring (in all the right ways), impactful and inspiring. A core aspect of all Free to Be Kids staff's roles is leading circa 8-10 of our residential projects across each year - working on the ground with the children, leading the volunteers & staff team on project, and helping make the projects special, safe, and transformative for vulnerable young people, many of whom have damaged confidence, low self-worth, or other social-emotional needs.
Attendance at approximately 8-10 five-six night residential projects per year outside London is a core component of this role. As a manager, you'd likely attend 8-10 residentials in year 1 to build familiarity with both the projects and our volunteer base, with this dropping to c.8 per year thereafter.
On offer to the right candidate:
Salary: Circa £38,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience.
Hours: Fulltime: 37.5 hours per week. Essential attendance on at c.8-10 residential projects a year.
Leave: 25 days per year, plus bank holidays and up to 13 additional pre-set discretionary reward days in September and during the Christmas period. A substantial perk of the role is potential to take up to 4 consecutive weeks off to travel each September.

You’ll have the flexibility to work away from home on (up to) 10 five to six day residential projects per year. Ideally, you’ll also have experience of leading projects for children – whether residential or non-residential - for example as a teacher, or running groups in other settings. We are a small, vibrant, 'can do', friendly staff team of 10, supported by a committed volunteer base of around 300.

The role of Retail Co-ordinator is crucial to the smooth and efficient operation of The Children’s Trust retail head office function. The postholder will be responsible for co-ordinating and running the administration and compliance needs required for a disperse network of charity shops, including being the gatekeeper for the Chariot EPOS system, Retail Gift Aid and New bought in goods, supporting the supply and distribution of stock; shop supplies, and associated stakeholder relationships.
Role Requirements
- Manage the Retail EPOS till and Head-office systems to maximise functionality to drive sales and promotions, create reports to support analysis of shops performance.
- Support the Retail Sales Manager to manage generation and distribution of stock, including preparing documentation for van deliveries and collections to meet both shops, customer and donor requirements.
- Support sales promotions by printing and issuing guidelines and promotional materials i.e. fundraising events and seasonal changes across the chain of shops.
- Maintain key internal and external stakeholder relationships including Retail Gift Aid donors, corporate supporters and internal support teams, ensuring that an efficient and compliant service is maintained.
- Manage the shared retail email inboxes acting on requests, leading on responses or signposting/escalating as required to ensure that the retail supporter journey is optimised and relationships are managed holistically.

Key Responsibilities
Youth Programmes Management and Delivery
- Manage the operations of the charity’s youth programmes in London including our two Choices & Consequences exhibition sites, Youth Ambassador Programme and other projects.

Job Purpose
The Oxbridge Programme Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Explore Oxbridge programme. They will work closely with the Head of Student Opportunities to plan and develop the programme.
The role will involve the management and coordination of a comprehensive package of support for students from Year 9 / S2 upwards. This includes workshops, webinars, day trips and residentials designed to increase student knowledge about studying at selective universities, in particular The University of Oxford and The University of Cambridge.

This role is essential in our drive for evidencing the impact of the work we do. You will lead and manage a large-scale, multi-organisation piece of research aiming to highlight the impact of our programmes. You will play a key role in ensuring the main research project and any supplementary research projects are delivered efficiently and ethically. Key Responsibilities
· You will be accountable for the oversight of the main research and any supplementary research projects from initiation to completion.

· You will work with the Head of Quality and Impact and Finance Team to ensure that the project/s meet agreed objectives, timelines and budgets.

The Science Council is seeking a dynamic Senior Marketing and Communications Officer to join its engagement and policy team. The post-holder will be responsible for leading and executing impactful communications and marketing initiatives with our members and external stakeholders. The role is pivotal in shaping the organisation’s voice, enhancing brand visibility, and driving engagement across multiple platforms.
The Science Council is a charity and membership organisation that brings the science professions together and provides professional registration for scientists, science technicians and science teachers. Engaging with member organisations, potential members, science employers, partner organisations and others is central to all our work. The engagement team makes sure that we communicate with them effectively, host events that are relevant to them, have influence on their behalf, and help them improve equity, diversity and inclusion.
